Staff friendly, rooms spacious and comfortable, bathroom was roomy and updated with heated floors, the gas fireplace made the room cozy and warm in early morning and late evening, The grounds are charming. We would definitely stay here again.

There is a massive landslide that closed CA 1 between LA and Glen Oaks Big Sur. It is supposed to reopen late summer. That is not a firm date. We went to Glen Oaks from Los Angeles in September 2017 and did have to take 101 to Monterrey then go south on CA 1. Still completely worth it. Check online before your trip to see the status.
