Glen Oaks was lovely -- a wonderful mix of modern style, rustic coziness and a few really luxe details. I loved the super-comfy bedding, heated floors and charming little air plants. My favorite part was the gorgeous fireplace in the room. The star of the property is a sublime redwood tree, the second oldest in big sur. We really enjoyed... More

HOTEL’S FAVORITE REVIEW
Reviewed September 15, 2016

We recently stayed at the Glen Oaks which was a beautiful, modern cabin. The rooms were clean and the staff was very hospitable. The best part was the fire pit near our room where you could sit and have a glass of wine. Nearby there are a ton of trails where you can see some of the Redwoods!

Great place to stay while taking in the wonders and sights of Big Sur. Be prepared for cabin atmosphere with very nice accommodations. Very quiet and relaxing. Loved the campfire pit in front of cabin.

We stayed in the Adobe Motor Lodge Fireside Queen room and the room itself is a little bit smaller than the pictures but still fantastic. Everything is very clean and neat. Since we got there a little bit late that we didn't have the chance to use the yoga mats in the room but the trail across the main road... More

If you're visiting California a "have-to" visit spot is taking the CA highway 1 and enjoying the serenity of Big Sur. Glen Oaks is nice little spot to stop over, stretch the legs, eat, shop and enjoy live bands.

My wife and I loved our stay at Glen Oaks. The rooms were very cozy, the staff was super helpful, and the Roadhouse restaurant across the street was such a nice amenity. We debated between a cabin or the motor lodge, and we we ended up choosing the motor lodge... and loved it. We had plenty of space, and the... More

My new hubby and I stayed in the Riverview Suite as the centerpiece of our California Roadtrip honeymoon, and it was everything we dreamed it would be. The location is absolutely idyllic. After checking in across the street, we turned down a short drive and entered through an automated gate- so fancy! We drove past smaller cabins and I instantly... More

This is our second stay, we've stayed Archie's cabin this time and we loved it. It was romantic and relaxing. Convenient location and the Roadhouse across the street serves great food. Will come back again!

I know the reviews might look great at this place but beware if they give you Room 1A and probably others too. This is not the room we saw when we reserved. This room was next door to the office. The toilet was falling off the wall. When you get up from it you hear a click and thud as... More

We stayed in the Big Sur Cabin and the location was spectacular. The Big Sur river was our front yard. I loved soaking in the bath tub on the back deck under the night sky while the fire crackled a few feet away -- pure heaven. A super comfy tub with nice hot water and heavenly bath salts. The staff... More
