My husband and I went for our 30th anniversary we had a fantastic time the service was impeccable the weather was a little iffy part of it but Franco was a Butler and he was over the top the guys are at the pool Efran - Elico - Gilberto - Joshua - Gustavo was our concierge. Rooms were beautiful and I am handicapped and Franco got me a scooter which helped out awesome.
The resort is fantastic. I would highly recommend it. We were there during a hurricane which happens in October and the staff took care of us such that we were not a bit uncomfortable. Moved out of our fantastic beach front unit for about 20 hours. The entire resort was cleaned the next day and they were open for business. Clearly they know how to handle this type of weather and adversity.
We just returned from Grand Residence for a week stay. Last time we were here was last Oct 2019. Due to Covid, GR staff were all wearing a mask and I mean everyone. Little changes were noticeable due to Covid, like the Molton Brown hand soap is now in a automatic dispenser. The cloth hand towel is replaced by a paper towel. The menu is downloadable or paper menu. The regular hard cover menu is sanitize every use as well as the table and chairs. Hopefully once the pandemic is over, the restaurant will be back with the breakfast buffet which we miss. I would like to give a shout out to our favorite concierge Claudia, who is amazing and made reservation for every meal during our stay. She took care of all our requests and airport transfer. She made sure we are always having a great time and zero worries. Since we are owners, I was able to make our 2021 reservation with Montsy. She is so wonderful to work with when it comes to explaining the President Circle and Signature Elite which we both have. She breaks down and explained all the points we have and how to maximize it. We truly appreciate Montsy coming to GR and talking to us in person as she is working remote due to Covid. She is truly a gem. We also had Catherine Duda in Sales explain to us the new benefit of being an owner like the complimentary massages, pedi/mani. We love how they have expanded the benefits to owners. Another reason why we purchase our fraction so we can share this amazing place with family and friends. If you are considering to buy and create memories of this awesome resort, Catherine Duda is the person to ask for. She knows it all, every detail. We are so happy that GR kept the same staff even with only 30% occupancy. Although we purchased AI, tipping extra is always appreciated by the staff. GR staff is like our family and always looking forward to see them each year. This place is truly heaven on earth! See you all in May 2021.…
4th time here, absolutely love this place!! Exceptional service, food outstanding! Can't say a bad word! Staff can't do enough for you!Beach is on the smaller said but beautiful! Definitely will be back! Room service is included, you can even get bottles if wine sent to room! Immaculately clean! They take all safety precautions during this crazy time!
We are owners at the Grand Residence and have been since day 1. We have owned in 3 of the Royal Resorts in the past 30 years. The Grand Residence is the star in the group as of now. Can't say enough about the staff and Chef Hector. Everyone wants you to be happy and enjoy your time on vacation. This visit we had the pleasure of Hurricane ETA! We were all taken care of and felt safe the whole time. The real miracle happened after the storm. Maintenance and staff emptied 2 pools, cleaned the beach and completely turned the resort around in 24 hours....all while wearing a mask! You will absolutely love your time here if you should decide to visit. Deanna Norman
