The waiter Thoni was amazing. He was pleasant introduced himself and gave us service with a smile. He checked to make sure we were good with our drink orders. Job well done. This was a group trip with over 500 persons. He served everyone well. Keep up the good work.

Really enjoying our stay here at the Royalton splash. Wanted to highlight the fab gym staff. Great yoga sessions and the sunset yoga with Adrian was amazing! Would highly recommend guests to go to this.

I loved it here. We were a large group here for a wedding, and one of our friends (he is a doctor ironically) kept commenting on how well designed the resort was. The food was great, the room clean and while there were little hiccups here and there, overall it was a dream.

Room Tip: Yeah, a lot of jerks get up early and bogart all the chairs. I just went to the beach, but that...

Let me start by saying there were 8 ppl in our party including kids and we were there for 7 days. Overall, I would say the resort was okay. I would go back to Cancun but will not be back to this resort. I believe the resort is overpriced for what you get. We just stayed at the end of July/early August. My husband and I stayed at the Royalton next door last December 2022 and in our opinion was way better. Even the rooms were better. We had a swim out room at the splash and what they consider a pull-out bed is not what most people are used to and barely fits children. It’s too short for teens or adults. The shower is also weirdly placed, and I was not fond of the rooms. Considering this is a newer resort the older Royalton had better rooms. The food is okay, better that other all-inclusive such as “RIU” resorts but nothing like higher rated ones like “Garza Blanca”. Another complain was the Drinks. They were not consistent at all. When we asked some bartenders, they mentioned they did find it strange that when they came to the hotel other chains offer training while this one didn’t. So, if you go and order a drink at different bars you will not get the same drink. The only drinks we all liked for consistency were from ‘Shaken’ but it was a bit too far to go to every time. The chair reservations by the pools were an issue but we were always able to find at least one expect on our last day where we opted to just pay the $50 for a cabana since we didn’t want to stand in the heat until chairs became available. The food at the sports bar was probably our favorite. It’s ridiculous how people reserve chairs for everyone in their party when no one is going to use them to sit or sunbathe. What is the point? If you plan on just getting a chair to put your stuff on one chair should suffice. Eduardo, Eliseo, Kevin, Manolo, and Sergio were by far our best wait staff. They made sure we were always taken care of. On our last day pool service over by the kids’ water slide area was bad. I had to ask multiple staff who our waiter was, and they kept telling me it was a young lady. I had been there 4 hours already and hadn’t seen anyone even after asking other wait staff. We got to our cabana’s around 9 am right behind kid’s waterslide area. It wasn’t until maybe 2pm that the waitress finally made her appearance one time and never returned. She didn’t seem very motivated to do her job. Overall, I would rate this resort a 3.7 out of 5 and mainly because of the water area and lazy rivers. Nothing else really stood out for the price.

Worst vacation ever the staff treated us (people of color) as if we were a bother. If you need a chair you have to get up at 5am after that good luck with finding one. We asked for a wash cloth 2 days in a row and never received. The Water on the table was never cleaned off. We were ignored when asking for drinks. I am currently here and can’t wait to go home. Worst experience ever

I was really excited to visit this establishment, however I must say that I was quite disappointed. The hotel is not finished being built and yet the parts that are completed are looking old already. Wear and tear! The staff some were extra nice and special while others were rude and snobbish. The icing on the cake was the young lady photographer that spoke to us in a condescending manner in front of everyone and I did not appreciate it! I added her picture because it was so funny that she is a worker of the hotel yet "Supposedly " not one soul knew her name when it was time to complain. You don't get the room you book and pay for they make it seem like they are upgrading you to a luxury room as a favor and it's all bull. I booked ocean front with swim up pool Junior suit diamond club and got tricked! The disappointment is real. Diamond club holds no weight at all. We paid extra for the services, comfort and the convenience of it all but like I said Diamond club benefits were useless. Our butlers Rafael and Eduardo were so overwhelm with other people that they pushed us to the side. Our rooms never got serviced as promised daily replenishing our fridge. Royalton regular received more respect and better treatment than diamond. The best restaurant to visit in my opinion was Hunter and our server Luis was amazing. The second best one was Agave and our server Omar was very professional and attentive. Other than that the server at Cafe Marche Ithsa was and is an amazing person and Ever (flaco) and Franco from Diamond club pool bar were amazing servers and very entertaining. I will not be revisiting this hotel. I was optimistic when I read the bad reviews but now I understand why the low ratings. I have a mouthful of complaints, a heart filled with disappointment and a dent in my pocket for no reason. It was not a worthy vacation with the price I paid. We the people the customers make this place yet they act like we need them! It's a shame that they do not care to listen to their customers.

We arrived with a open mind after the mixed reviews and I honestly believe every family has a different experience here, we found the staff to be absolutely lovely, however now the bad the food was nearly always Luke warm at all the restaurants except Zen so we chose to eat here 3 times as this was the only one we received hot food at, we found the pool areas dirty and scum could often be seen on the pool surface, we stayed in block 12 and I don’t believe the stairway was ever swept or cleaned during our 14 day stay, our room was not serviced for 3 days despite guest services saying they would send someone on the 2nd day I asked , by day 3 we were down to one towel between 4 of us I was told by guest services that this is due to saving the environment !! Yet they hand out hundreds of towels daily for sun bed use, the finishing touches here are what lets this resort down tiles are uneven and broken, walls are all marked this does not look like a resort that has been open 7 months and at most is a four star hotel, I think this has the potential to be a really nice hotel but it’s not there yet, I don’t think this is a hotel I would return to but again this is my opinion and every family has a different one so it’s best to go with an open mind and make your own decisions

It was reservation only. I arrived 650am to make sure we booked our dinner reservations for the experience. Leonardo was the Best. He definitely impressed my family. He also took photos with my grandchildren. What a great experience to remember. Thanks for the hospitality.

Visited the royalton in punta cana a few years ago so went with the royalton in Cancun, it did NOT disappoint. Some suggestions, the lazy River doesn’t have many tubes so if you can pack your own I would. Food trucks are delicious! Restaurants were satisfying, it’s not easy to get a reservation for a large group as they are only first come first serve. That is something I would like to see change. The workers are all great and we made friendships with them, they remembered us, laughed with us and knew what we liked. David the bartender was AMAZING!! Our server Antonio made the trip that much more enjoyable. He’s Funny, personable and quick! He made sure we were good from the time we got to the pool till the time we left. He knew our drinks, he knew when we wanted more and he was always checking in with us. We definitely will put this resort on our list of places we would return to! When the workers are enjoyable it makes the whole stay that much more enjoyable.
