Our visit to Dreams was not originally planned but we couldn’t have been happier with the alternative. We were supposed to go to Now/Dreams Natura but due to their delayed reopening we were transferred to DRC. I am a travel agent and worked directly with the resort to move 11 reservations. Even with the challenges of Covid and shut down I must say the staff made everything as smooth as possible and we all received upgrades! The resort is about a 20 minute ride from airport. Let me start with check in, most of our group was preferred club so we were whisked away to the preferred lounge where we were met with drinks, small bites and personalized check in. As for the few other non preferred club their process in the lobby was seamless. We arrived one week after reopening and felt safe with all the measures they have taken to combat the virus. Temp checks upon arrival and entering all restaurants. Hand sanitizing stations everywhere and mats to whip your shoes. Every employee wearing masks and/or face shields. No menus, scan code on your phone. Buffet served cafeteria style. Our rooms ranged from garden to ocean front to plunge pool. They were all nice, a little older but well kept. We were missing some amenities (robes, liquor, snacks) but it only took asking and within minutes we were stocked. Bring conditioner, they only have 2 in 1. The resort was only operating at 30% capacity so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. Service was above and beyond at pool and all restaurants. Everyone knew our name by the end of day one. We had 8 teenagers in our group and they loved Daniel in entertainment. He always has them involved in daily activities. Alberto was amazing serving us at the pool everyday. Honestly, there wasn’t one employee that didn’t go above and beyond for us. I must take a moment and rave about Marissa, our wedding coordinator. She took on my wedding within 4 weeks of arrival due to resort change. This was the most stressful time of my life but she took all my worries away. Everything that I had planned with Natura was honored and I received numerous complimentary upgrades. Due to seaweed season the beach is undesirable and we had to change our ceremony location. Fortunately, we were the only wedding scheduled and Marissa gave us every venue location to choose from. We went with the rooftop and couldn’t have been happier. She kept telling me not to worry they would make it work like magic and they provided! They are true professionals! We used all in house vendors as I didn’t have the energy to research outside. Again, they exceeded all our expectations. Hair and makeup was wonderful, they kept my group of 6 private and provided champagne and mimosas. Our photographer, Alberto captured every amazing moment. Nobody waited for a cocktail and the food was incredible. All of our guests were impressed. I wish I could remember everyone’s names but I’m not as good as they are at remembering. We ate at all the restaurants, by far Bordeaux was my favorite. Italian second, Oceana for lunch was great. We did the buffet for breakfast everyday but it was closed for lunch and we didn’t go for dinner. They were rotating restaurant closures daily. They had 3-4 to choose from nightly. The gym was closed due to government guidelines. The spa was incredible! We had two massages and a facial. You also get to enjoy the hydro circuit. In summary, the virus changed our world so much but DRC has done everything to try to give us tourists a break from reality. Please understand, these are trying times for everyone. We are lucky to be able to travel currently. The resorts was shutdown for over 3 months and they are working hard to rebuild tourism. I would definitely recommend DRC for families and groups. We typically prefer adult only and have never been to an AM resorts that we weren’t pleased with. I would return but would try to schedule around seaweed season. They were installing a barrier while we were there and I did see pictures from past visitors that proves the beach can be beautiful. I personally feel like the staff makes this resort exceptional.…
We had a group of about 20 travel from the US to Dreams Riviera - for our wedding. Marissa Ibarrola, our wedding coordinator, did a phenomenal job of communicating, accommodating special requests and assuring the wedding went off without a hitch! The resort was super clean. The staff went out of their way to ensure everyone was happy. The rooms were great. And the food was probably the best we've had from a resort in this price range!
Just a quick note to assure folks that money will be returned after virus forced cancellation. The UVC group did state that it would issue a full refund within 60-90 “working” days. Our group had 5 rooms & suites reserved and ALL were refunded within 75 working days. First Class organization! Thanks
I would highly recommend Dreams Riviera. The staff, food, and room were amazing! Will be returning for another stay. The staff was exceptional. We upgraded to a preferred Suite and it was well worth the money. Pools and service at pools was exceptional. Also, the food was great.
We where welcomed from the start to end. All staff make you feel at home and attention is unmatched. Food was great and facilities where also in great shape. During this Covid Pandemic they where extra careful checking temperature at every restaurant to be safe.
