The resort was beautiful and very clean. Everyone was friendly, hospitable and helpful. Food was great. The extra activities offered around the pool like Spanish lessons and Zumba were fun. I would definitely go to this resort again!

Visited dreams for 2 weeks only to find at least 2 weddings everyday most guests staying here are for weddings not holidays which makes it feel like you in the wrong place etc,the staff are fantastic can not do enough for you as for the preferred club premium drinks that's a con as we own a bar back home and none off these drinks taste like premium drinks I asked for a baileys only to find they have 2 bottles 1 is a copy and 1 is real but you never get the real thing the flavoured vodkas taste awful so don't be fooled as for restaurants portifino is good but not excellent the service is good the Asian is my favourite but that's personal taste the beachside grill is good but limited menu for breakfast lunch and dinner and very slow service with staff there not understanding English much so meals constantly arrive wrong ,the French restaurant is very good and service excellent the oceana is OK but not my favourite food ok ,next the rooms are all lovely kept large but room service is not worth asking for as by the time it arrives its stone cold the cleaners are excellent but don't understand English or can read the don't not disturb sign as they kept knocking on your door if that don't get your response they call you on the phone not good if you have had a long flight here,next the beach which is in God's hands is a no go zone masses of seaweed landing on the beach day and night making the sea brown which stinks awful of rotting seaweed so no beach or sea activities if I had known this before I arrived I would have gone elsewhere, overall the hotel is great but the weddings just take over a real shame try other Caribbean islands before mexico .

This was really a resort catering to weddings not so much for an older couple. We enjoy good food and have had good results at other Dreams and Secrets but the food here was not great. It was just adequate. We thought our preferred ocean view room was very nice and kept very clean by an excellent housekeeping staff. The beaches were very nice although covered with seaweed which was constantly being cleaned up by the resort staff. The seaweed made swimming less pleasurable. Not the fault of the resort but more due to location.

DRC has a lot of staff training issues and is terribly understaffed. Late check out will be charged even if there is room availability of $100 USD/room. DRC Property is nice and maintained well. Rooms: The tropical junior king is looking over a sargassum dumpster parking lot for buses and Ibis villa hotel (building B ). It's above their wedding and kitchen storage equipment which is always being cleaned and the noise level is through the roof (literally). Loads of sargassum. The lowest form of entertainment we have seen amongst all the dreams, secrets and now’s we have been to. Dreams Riviera Cancun has many cases of COVID-19 Omicron, they have had 7 weddings till now and no one has been checking for health concerns or wearing masks. World Cafe is the only one masked up but they are letting people in who are coughing and sneezing all over the buffet. There are people who actually are having trouble just inhaling. We pointed that out they said they will keep an eye on them but it was a wedding party. No one knew how to keep track of it. I know this for sure because the pharmacy here has run out of thermometers and Tylenol. I too fell victim to Ómicron at the Riviera Cancun resort after dodging it for 2.5 years.

Just stayed at this hotel for 6 nights, the hotel itself is beautiful! Our room 2350 was a great location as well! We upgraded too VIP which was worth it to have access to the VIP lounge and bar. There was 3 weddings every night! Some were very loud!!! So we witnessed 18 weddings! There is not much to do at this hotel except swim! FOOD WAS TERRIBLE! I am not that picky, but I really thought it was well below average! Buffet was awful as well! Thank goodness they had fruit! Drinks were VERY WEAK I am not a drinker and 5 drinks didn’t even give me a buzz! Lol. The workers here work their butts off and I feel bad writing a bad review, but I am just stating facts! Do yourself a favor and pick a diff place to stay!!! Beds were hard as rocks too! We had a oceanfront pool view room. Not much privacy in the room either.

We have just returned from a wonderful relaxing 11 nights in this beautiful hotel. Lovely pools and beach with plenty of sun beds, towels and fantastic weather. All the staff work extremely hard to keep the hotel and grounds clean and tidy. Restaurants are all good with an amazing choice of food, something for everyone, Italian, French, Asian etc. You would never go hungry here. You cannot book in advance but we never found this a problem. If there was no table available they give you a pager and you would just go for a drink while you wait. You are on holiday and this can be more relaxing as not rushing around to make a definite time. I understand though this may not be the case if travelling with young children. There is a great coffee shop, open 24 hours and the cookies around the hotel are the best we have tasted. We booked the preferred clubs rooms. The lounge was lovely and a nice place to meet for pre dinner drinks and lovely snacks throughout the day. Breakfast in the seaside grill was great and not so busy. There was also a preferred beach area and bar, but we liked to be by the pool. Thank you to lots of the lovely staff we met that made our holiday the most enjoyable. To name a few Ernesto for the help, laughs and banter around the pool, also Daniel and Christian who were always around to help. Vincent for the supply of drinks to the sun beds, Rafael for the White Sands at the swing bar, Octaviao at the preferred lounge bar, Edgar in Oceano, Karin in the entertainment team and many more. Don’t get me wrong everything here is not perfect, but then what is. A few things with rooms not consistent. What is really important though is that the hotel I think do realise this. They will try and resolve any issues that arise and listen to what you have to say. They will talk and communicate with you to try and make things right. How they manage problems and not to ignore them is most important. Thank you to Adolfo, who took the time to chat to us and looked after us extremely well, it wasn’t all necessary but truly appreciated, thank you.

Nothing like it was before COVID. Breakfast buffet is now a joke - no eggs (except for omletes), bacon, sausage - very short staffed - each person is responsible for multiple stations so your food gets cold while waiting in line. Not enough pool lounge chairs - if you are gone from your chair for more than 30mins between 7 and 10:30am, they take all your stuff/towels and give the chairs to someone else. No condiments at the pool grill (ketchup, mustard, relish, salt & pepper, etc.) WHY????? Maid would remove all our bath towels each day and not replace all that she took, so we were constantly short one or two towels every day (we were a party of 4). this was our 4th and final time at this resort.
