If it weren't for the condo I booked saying they "sold out" after my reservation had been confirmed 4 months prior, I would never have found this absolute treasure! The Amar Inn is a small, simple yet charming, very clean, family run bed and breakfast. The General Manager Luis Rodriguez is so kind and extremely helpful. The Inn has 11 rooms in total and ranges from single oversized studios to multi-room family unit and penthouse. The rooms are simple and very Clean. Some have a Kitchenette but all have an ensuite bathroom. One unit is very"green" including a compostable toilet. So be sure to confirm the details if that isn't your thing. The Inn has several oceanview rooms but the garden views are just as nice. Besides you are steps from the beach and can grab the beach Chairs provided and walk literally 25-35 Steps onto the beach. Each morning between 8-10am a beautifully prepared Mexican breakfast is provided- each day the main breakfast is different and Oh so tastY. Served with juice, coffee, fresh fruits with yogurt and wheat toast. Everything here is a labor of love! Oh, there is also a small plunge pool on the premises which is great if you want a quick cool down without the sand and saltwater! This truly is a gem and I am already making plans to return!

Feels like a second home! Friendly staff ( Luis is the best!) , amazing breakfast, beds were super comfy and it’s 1 minute to the beach. I will always stay here when I am in Puerto Morelos!!! They have been sprucing up the rooms and garden area which I love and the pool was lovely. Thanks Amar Inn!!

Spent a weekend at Amar Inn and it exceeded all expectations. We wanted something small and quiet and this was it. We had the penthouse with its great space and views; very comfortable. The breakfast each morning could not have been better....the best food of an 11 day trip. All the people at Amar are fantastic and take great pride in what they do. We would not hesitate to stay here again; this is an awesome choice in Puerto Morelos.

We originally booked for seven days and stayed in Cabana 2. We cut our trip short after three days due to the tropical depression #25 coming in with excessive amounts of rain. Breakfasts appeared to be exceptional, however both my husband and I are toast and coffee only type of people. Others enjoyed coffee, juice, fruit, toast or sweet bread as well as a different Mexican breakfast specialty every day. I would not recommend booking Cabana 2 if rain is expected as the room is lower than ground level and the room floods in heavy rains. The owner Luis, his family and staff members are awesome and very helpful with anything you might need. The location is perfect and within walking distance to the square, restaurants, shops and supermarket. It has a small swimming pool that looked inviting.

This beautiful and authentic Mexican gem is my “home” in Puerto Morelos. I love it here! Luis and Miguel, the brothers who own the Amar Inn treat every guest with respect and genuine Mexican hospitality. The property is manicured with love and the rooms receive daily service by the attentive and friendly staff. If something is broken or needs attending too, the amazing Jaun can magically fix anything. And then… There are the breakfasts! Oh my, what will I do when I return home? Recipes developed by their mother Doña Ana Louisa, these are some of the finest meals you will find in town, with an extensive rotation, different every day for more than two weeks. And just this year Miguel is beginning to offer the occasional dinner in their beautiful garden. The property is a peaceful tropical paradise just steps to the white sand beach in Puerto Morelos and a short walk into town. Nothing short of perfection for an older solo traveller like myself, you will meet new friends and feel safe here, or couples and families who prefer quaint authenticity over swank high rise hotels. Yes - I have booked for next year! Muchas Gracias to my hosts and their entire staff. ❤️
