Although the room was great and most of the employees were nice, the whole event was ruined and my stay in Mexico hampered by the fact I left my telephone in the room when we left. I called on my friend's phone and the management was not helpful at all. They said it was not there, and then never even called back. I had to call them several times. The phone locater on my computer even said the phone was still there. Too bad they could not and would not try to help. Sad.
Rooms are large and beautifully decorated with sleek modern lines. Nothing by ocean view plus a small pool and right on the sand. The staff is so friendly it allows you to relax. Need a car as this site is about 3 km from the center of town. We will definitely return to Casa de; Puerto.
Had a great stay! The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Very clean hostel! Cosy bar and pool. Great location, it's cheap to get to the centre. When visiting make sure to drink a home made Pina coloda.
Casa del Puerto is a perfect stay. Property was clean. Beach was right there. Rooms and balconies are huge - and every room has a view of the water. I will definitely return and explore the area around Puerto Morelos further.
This was a lovely, relaxing location, right on the beach and backed by jungle. We only stayed one night, on our way further down the coast. The staff were polite and friendly. The room and the balcony were both very large, the latter with its own lounge chair and hammock. The palm tree outlook to the sea was perfect. There are only 14 rooms, so it was a very relaxed environment. The simple (included) continental breakfast consisted of fruit, yogurt & granola, rolls, with butter & jam & drinks. For an extra cost you can choose more from an al a carte menu. We had a rental car, so there was no issue with getting around. However, make absolutely sure that you have precise, detailed Google Map directions. We were trying to find the place after dark, having just arrived on a flight late that afternoon. Don't rely on Satnav. The key is to look for the turnoff to the entrance to Croco Cun Zoo. It's then a 7 minute drive to the end of the road & turn left. When you reach the entrance to a large complex at the end, there's a tiny, unmarked track to the left. It was the fact that there is no sign showing you where Casa del Puerto Hotel is that tempted me to give the hotel a lower rating. Also, there is no obvious sign once you actually arrive. There is a big archway at the front, but it is closed off by large doors. You have to ring a bell for someone to open up for you. It was not the easiest place to find, but worth the search..…
