I recently drove to the Joys camp in Shaba.I had been to Shaba previously but never to the Joys camp. The road was quite rocky as you head into the reserve. Being an arid area, you wouldn't expect such density of animals...I arrived at the Joys camp exhausted but delighted to be received by the management, we were ushered in... More

I was sorry our group only stayed at Joy's Camp for one night. That was the plan, but it is such a beautiful place that I would have loved to stay longer. There are little dikdiks playing in the yard, friendly birds and other wildlife you can hear at night. The rooms are beautifully decorated in a style reminiscent of... More

The grounds and tents were wonderful. I had a lovely view of the distant watering hole and spotted animals while sitting on the porch. The guide was charming and very knowledgable. We spotted a pride of eight lions and watched with awe. Oh the elephants! The food and service were impeccable. The staff professional and friendly. At the end of... More
