Such a beautiful and peaceful stay - extremely restful. Away from the business of town, but close enough for when you need it. Stunning house, kitchen and deliciously warm fire places - not to mention the view and beach front only steps away - breathtaking!

During our eleven days with Daphne and Jan we felt right at home. Most importantly they were very accommodating and helpful while we all recovered from illness. Their property is perfect to enjoy a beautiful view and a glass of wine, or to play with the kids on the grass. There were sweet plums and ripe lemons on the trees for our picking pleasure too! We also enjoyed walking out to the beach for a swim, to chase the tide and to take in the view. We BBQed a few nights, Jan made fantastic shushi on another, and the restaurants in town were also very good. Once recovered we were able to take a few trips to the very nearby waterfalls, fresh water springs, and other small hikes. The drive to Farewell Spit, and lunch at the Mussel Inn is also recommended. With high ceilings and a wood finished interior, the comforts of their home include spacious rooms with private outside access. Our bedroom was cozy and warm and had an adjoining room (with patio) for our belongings. Daphne keeps everything clean and in tiptop condition. She also makes a nice breakfast served inside or out, with just the right amount of coffee :) to get your day started!

An amazing 4 day stay. Booked after reading other comments on TA site. Jan and Daphane were first class hosts. Everything about our stay was first class. Spotlessly clean with excellent facilities.A great place to stay with easy acess to surrounding beauty spots. We had aroom with a seaview, ensuite and walk in wardrobe.A communal well equipped kitchen. We were the only people there for 3 days so had area to ourselves. A very large lounge to relax in evening.Break fast was provided every morning at whatever time requested. Our last evening we met a lovely couple who had just arrived from Hawks Bay.
We had drinks together on decking area. Have their email and will keep in touch.A BBQ availble also.
A stunning property ,can highly recommend. The guest book there speaks for itself.......

We stayed at Beach Break for the first 2 nights of our New Zealand adventure. It was delightful. Just a few km outside of town, Beach Break is a bit of paradise. Absurdly comfortable, very clean and run by the most relaxed, helpful and easy going folks around.

We could not have been more pleased.

We stayed 3 nights in this lovely B&B, that also has the facilities for a self contained stay. Jan & Daphne make you feel very welcome and are always willing to give tips and make travel arrangements. Daphne takes care of a lovely breakfast in the morning, Jan invited us to do some fishing at low tide (unfortunately, we weren't lucky...). A central room is available for all guests to relax, the private rooms themselves (3 available in total) all have something that speaks for them, though we loved the beach room the best (spacious, with a very comfortable bathroom). Friends of ours stayed in the room next to it (garden room), which is also very nice, although a bit smaller. We had a kitchen inbetween the rooms, so all was there to have an excellent and relaxing stay. Beach is a short walk away, BBQ is available at the huge terrace, all very quiet and peaceful, excellent place to relax and visit Abel Tasman national park.
