Very good service all together. They also send a vehicle to pick you up from the parking lot. That is also a great experience. Hospitality is remarkable. They always ready to serve you. Food is awesome and they arrange them to restaurant, to the room or even to the natural pool area. Also they are giving some additional services like a village visit which is a very calm village, a tour to Pahanthudawa and a tour to Nonpareil which is awesome. They are all free. The best service we got in out travel life. Hoping to visit again to this place. Hats off to the staff :-)

Glenrock is located in the very beautiful village. Bounded at one end by Belihuloya river, it is surrounded by green paddies. A beautiful mountain range is seen. I went there with my family. We stayed in a 'river cabana'. It was right next to the river and we were surrounded by huge trees. It confirmed to us that they have built this hotel without damaging the trees. Looking down from the balcony, the river was directly visible. Trees are close to us. Peacocks, Monkeys and Giant squirrels were seen almost always and the Monkeys came very close to us. Here, I was strongly impressed by the large mountain range seen in the distance. The morning sun rays falling on those mountains is very beautiful. It is a beautiful sight. We always heard the sound of the river. It is pleasant to hear. The sound of peacocks could be heard. We always felt like we were in a jungle. You can go to the roof top of one of the hotel buildings where you can see all directions at once. The view seen there is very beautiful. As for the room, it was finished in a luxury. We were able to spend there very comfortably with our family. The food is really delicious. There we got the experience of Sri Lankan foods and foreign foods. The special lump rice here is very tasty. They told us that they take rice from the village. But I personally liked the coconut roti made with 'Nai miris' (hot chili). Eating while looking at the mountains is an amazing experience. There is a very large nature swimming pool and we enjoyed ourselves from there. We also bathed in the river belihuloya which flows nearby. The water was very cold, but it refreshed us. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I appreciate it very much. Come and enjoy this wonderful experience…

You’ll read lots of amazing things and statements about this fabulous nature resort in the other reviews. They’re all true. We had the pleasure of staying here and it exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of serenity and tranquility that we had never experienced before. The resort is nestled in a picturesque location, surrounded by natural beauty, and the peaceful atmosphere is truly unmatched. Having had the joy of renting out the River Villa with private access to the Belihul Oya, there’s little to nothing that could top our experience from a mere luxury point of view. While I could go on explaining and describing how wonderful the place itself is, there’s something else I’d rather like to focus on though, as in this location, there are other gems to be found that are worth to be highlighted even more. Iresh, the resort manager and all the service and kitchen staff are truly exceptional souls. They are the most kind-hearted and genuine individuals we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. They were always present, but never intrusive, making sure that our every need was met without us even having to ask for anything. Iresh’s professionalism, experience and deep respect for the staff is evident in the way they all worked together seamlessly and most importantly, with visible joy for the oftentimes hard work they’re putting in. The staff, and we’d like to do a very special shout-out to Thushara, who personally tended to us during our stay, went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was the most comfortable. We have never, and I truly mean that, seen such heart-felt dedication and felt so good on a vacation. They truly care about your well-being and your enjoyment during your stay. We’d like to thank you all with the highest respects for your beautiful work and will be back in an instant, as soon as time allows for it. We’re happy and feel lucky to have chosen The Glenrock for the last days of our stay in Sri Lanka, as it was the best way to end it and to remember your beautiful country and island. We’ll keep in touch! To everyone who chooses to start their vacation here, you might find it difficult to keep that level of joy and serenity after moving on :)…

We were there for two nights, definitely will visit again. Iresh and his team was amazing. Nothing was too much for them. Small team, great service. Most notable thing is their readiness to go one step further to help the guests. It is home away from home. We never forget the smile of Thushara who served us in the restaurant. Great leadership, great team.

We went to Glenrock to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary and expected a very close to nature experience. When we went there we realised that marketing does not do justice to how special the hotel truly is. It is so integrated with nature that sometimes you can't even tell that there is a hotel within the jungle. The constant noise from the stream cancels out everything and you just enjoy nature. The hospitality is hands down the best in Sri Lanka as they look after you perfectly with a lot of attention. The rooms had a breathtaking view of the mountain and waking up to this view was amazing. The food was extremely delicious with huge portions and very nice presentation. The Manager and the staff looked after us with extremely friendly service. We visited two places one view point through the forest and then a hidden magnificent waterfall. The rides were arranged by the hotel in the Safari Keep and we were surprised when they didn't even charge us. We are looking forward for the next visit because of the amazing experience we got and the place really deserves much much more attention because they really do everything they can to make your stay memorable. …

Iresh, Thushara and the team was exemplary when providing the best experience to us. They went out of their way to make arrangements to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our specific dietary needs and other needs were well catered for. The food was delicious. The river cabana room was over looks the river and the sound of flowing river provided a serene experience and a good night sleep. We then stayed at their penthouse suite which provided an amazing views and a jaccuzi. We also went to have a bath in the river, which has one of the most natural and cleanest water in the country. We had no hesitation in drinking it and the bath was so refreshing and invigorating. We also went to see Pahanthudawa waterfall and Wala Thuna (3 holes). All these made us feel as part of the nature and we thoroughly enjoy it's true beauty. We were very happy with our stay at The Glenrock.…

Our stay at the Glenrock was absolutely magical. The resort is bordered by a village and paddy fields on one side, and lush nature on the other. Looking up from our room we see a mountain range covered in rolling mist. There are plenty of activities to try, from taking a refreshing dip in the stream that’s right next to the resort, to hiking to the storied Pahanthudawa waterfall (the hotel staff will accompany you for the hike). But even if you don’t do anything else and simply breathe in the mountain air for a day you will feel so rejuvenated. And I haven’t even mentioned the delicious food that the chef serves up. From families to couples, the Glenrock is perfect for anyone wanting to get away from the hubbub of our daily lives.

The resort is very well maintained even after the crisis period. Given the nature of rainforest eco resorts, this is in fact the cleanest, maintained to the highest degree resort in Ceylon. The river villa is the highly recommended suite that has all luxuries in the wild. Even if you are not an eco person, the pentahouse provides the modern luxury. The best part of the resort is, service. This level of service is at the highest level you can expect from top notch resorts. Specially 4 key resource people to note on. Thusith was really helpful on arranging excursions to unexplored corners of the area and the hospitality offered was amazing. Thanks a lot Thushara for everything that is amazing. Nilantha was one of the best chefs we a have met in Ceylon with a greeting smile always. Thushara and the farmer was very helpful in arranging things for us, taking us to the organic garden and even gave us bunch of organic vegies. Iresh, the manager, was really helpful on arranging everything. And special thank to the owner who is courageous enough to keep investing to maintain the resort like this under tight economic conditions. Few key very special facts on this resort. The hospitality is best in class, the staff is always greeting with a genuine smile, resort takes care of the villagers, the environment is well preserved, superb food, the cleanliness and facilities are amazing given the rainforest environment. Natural fish therapy is available in even private areas of the river. Rover villas has own access to the river with utmost privacy. Highly recommended for 3nights and above if somebody really want to explore the beautiful nature. A resort that we need to protect with the people.…

Wow!! Me & girlfriend stayed here for 3 nights and was truly mesmerised by how beautiful this place is! Hidden in a beautiful remote location in the jungle this is a beautiful romantic little getaway and would be perfect for any couple looking for something a little secluded & intimate! We stayed in the eco sweet (top floor) and could not fault it at all! Staff were amazing and were always on standby and really could not do enough for us! Every staff member was always very polite and smiley and anything we needed was sorted instantly! Felt like we were treat like oyalty! All of them were amazing! The manager Iresh however is a credit to glenrock and deserves recognition for his work, was great organising trips (free of charge) very helpful with any queries and really made the trip special could not do enough to help! Even still been in contact now helping us with anything he can round Sri Lanka! Would highly recommend staying here and checking out the waterfalls undoubtedly would come again! 10/10…
