Few words of appreciation and our sincere gratitude to the 'MAGNIFICENT 7' that manages the property for the wonderful experience given to the 7 of us during the last 'Long weekend ' where we spend unforgettable 3 nights and 4 days. We were a group of 07 now retired from the travel and airline industry and were pleasantly surprised at the diversity of talent among the staff members. The rooms were comfortable the food and the entertainment was something that we will remember for a long time. A few improvements to the toilets and the room floors would be a positive that will be appreciated by 'Repeat Guest'

We had a short stay at this amazing location, and we are already planning a return trip. The hotel is situated on the way to Kalpitiya bordering the lagoon waters. The rooms have a breathtaking view of the lagoon. Hotel grounds are small, but rooms are very spacious, clean and has a very unique interior. Hotel is managed with few staff members, but they ensure that everyone's requirements are well taken care of, and they put in such an effort to do so, which is highly commendable. One thing we looked forward to was seafood and plenty of it we got. The kitchen staff is highly skilled as the everything that was brought to our table was fresh, hot and delicious, one of the benefits of a small set up as this. We greatly appreciated this and thank the staff led by Romina for making our stay memorable.

My family readily took advantage of the location to spend the last weekend at the property when we were informed by a last minute cancellation by the hotel. The rooms were clean and the interior was beyond imagination. Service was top notch. Every staff member, ably led by Sashika were ever delighted and eager to help. Food was exceptional. The St. Annes Church, Talawila was only a 10min drive from the property. We will definitely recommend the property to our colleagues and it's a great place for a weekend gate away.

I recently stayed at Kalpitiya Chalets by Thilanka with my family for one night. It was wonderful experiance from the start of our journey to the end. From the very first moment i made the reservation call i felt so welcoming.
Ms.Romina made the first impression throufh the call so welcoming as she constantly provided us with all the details we inquired and it ensured us we have chosen the right place for our vacation. As we entered the place the staff welcomed us with a great smile and a warm welcome. The property has a Stunning view from the room overlooking the lagoon where you can enjoy the sunrise in the morning. Staff was very friendly.
Especially to mention Ms.Romina and Ms.Imesha took care of us as well as the rest of the guests whi h our overall experience was beyond our expectations and made us feel homely and comfortable. Restaurant serves delicious food and hats off to the chef.
Again I would like to thank especially Ms.Romina who educated us on how to plan our trip effectively and ensured us the perfect vacation and for her exceptional service.
Would highly recommend to anybody and could give a 10/10 for everything we had on our stay. *********

Firstly the place is like an oasis. If you go to kalpitiya you think about kitesurfing. This place is not near the kitesurfing spots. Instead you are at a lagoon where only a few fishers with paddleboats come by. It is like a haven where you can relax, enjoy the view and ofcourse the amazing service and food. The hotel manager Schaschi is a great host. She is a lady with a golden heart, attentive, smart and not only tries to make the experience best for the guests but also for the hotel staff. The food is the best we have had in Sri Lanka. We always ate local cuisine by the way. They will make you anything you wish or you can decide to be surprised with food you don't know. If you want to go to Kalpitiya and you don't want to stay in a kitesurfing hotel, this is the place to stay. Rosie & Steffen

I visited Kalpitiya Chalet by Thilanka two days ago with family for the first time I must say I was startled by the class of the hotel. Its a type of a hotel I have never seen before. To add to that the food and beverages were excellent! The ambience was out of this world. The staff and their service was very professional as well friendly and warm.We felt very safe & happy. I must make a special mention of the service and care offered by the owner Jeff Gunawardena and managers Ms Shashi and Ms Romina.Keep up the five star service in your hotel

Beautiful location, lovely, stylish comfortable room but above all absolutely THE best service from Jeff and the team. The food was fantastic and we were made to feel so special and welcome. Upon arrival we were greeted with the words “welcome home” - after our stay I know why! It truly felt like a home away from home. We were celebrating a birthday with friends and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Highly recommend a stay here and as an additional highlight it’s a great place from which to go dolphin spotting and bird watching.

Having arrived to Sri Lanka from overseas late in the evening, the accommodation we originally booked was unfortunately not what we expected so in a frantic hurry to find a place close by we googled and stumbled upon Kalpitiya Chalets by Thilanka. Well, that was the beginning of a beautiful week ahead of us. Starting with an unexpected late-night reservation request to Ms. Romina, the Hotel's manageress, we were swiftly picked up from our accommodation as she understood we were newcomers and with a four-year-old. We checked into the property - with Jeff, the Director welcoming us at the gate - without any delay we were shown our rooms and Romina and her team made sure we were comfortable and then left. The warmth and welcome we received at that hour of the night was unbeatable - the word 'NO' simply did not exist in the diction of the staff at Kalpitiya. No request was too big or too small starting from the Director to the housekeeping staff. Since we arrived for a wedding - Romina and her team organized delightful and happy lunch and dinner gatherings for our wedding party. The rooms were super bright and cozy - the beds - were extremely comfortable and the washrooms were exceptionally clean and with all amenities provided. The view from the room was breathtaking, overlooking the Lagoon and fishing boats, it provides a very calming and scenic experience. The food was delicious and with a lot of variety - the Chef was very accommodating and always asked for our preference of meals. With good value for money - any of the rooms you take provide the Lagoon View; Tea, Coffee and water are also provided in the rooms. As for sightseeing - Romina has a good list of things to do and happily makes the necessary arrangements if needed. Surprisingly, and since it is a small property, the other hotel guests were also very friendly; the whole experience at Kalpitiya felt like a home away from home! Kudos to the management! all of the staff there are keepers!

The breath taking view of the sea,the softly lapping waters, comfortable and well equipped rooms with excellent bedding, clean toilets, tea and coffee station, fridge and all needed amenities with the back drop of a picturesque marine life picture that augments the ambience of the room. One of the most relaxing hotels I have visited .Quiet and embedded in bird life, mangroves and gently lapping waves at almost by your feet.Dining hall is artistically designed .Staff try to do their best by you.Applaud the management for their profound pick of a destination for such a fabulous holiday haven.
