we came on a 8 people visit. the place is so peaceful and the castle is amazing ! huge rooms with a great feeling. Marzenna (the owner) is an amazing person, always smiles and do her best to give you the best stay she can do, if by cooking her amzing food or chatting you on her activities and surroundings. if you are looking for a life time memory, staying in a castle, surrounded by green Forrest and endless "green", eat great food, rest and enjoy life, dont miss out on this place, and on meeting Marzenna !

Palac at Nakło is located in the beautiful park in the suburbs of Nakło village in Silesia. Nakło is quite good location to visit Jura and Trail of the Eagles' Nests - it is only about 80 km from Kraków. Although the palace is still under renovation it is beautiful and charming, both inside and outside. On the first floor are apartments for guests and lounge, accessible for all guests, with TV-set, stereo-set and coffee corner with fridge. On the ground floor there are owner’s apartments, kitchen, dining room and main sitting room. Apartments are spacious, stylish and cosy – the same are bathrooms. However our bed was not so big for such a big apartment and only one apartment has window-curtains. In all apartments one can find a lot of books, albums, old pictures, posters and many other interesting and mysterious items. Mrs. Marzenna who runs this place with her husband is a great host and she makes everything to make Your stay comfortable. She is also good cook so Your stay will also be delicious. Generally this is a great place for people who don’t like big and soulless hotels and want to rest from the big city life in the family atmosphere.…

Our room was beautifully appointed, large and extremely comfortable. The hospitality of the proprietors, Kehrt and Margenna, was delightful. Her crepes -- actually, everything she cooks -- are out of this world. The palace is in a quiet, leafy setting well off the beaten path, and a perfect place for relaxation and lazing around. I wish we could go back every month. If you're headed to Krakow, a side trip for a night or two at Naklo is well worth the time.

My wife and I have stayed here several times and most recently booked out the whole palace for my father's 60th birthday. Our stays are always fantastic and Marzenna's cooking is a highlight, I would strongly recommend having dinner at the palace on your stay. Marzenna and Kehrt are excellent hosts and always go out of their way to help in any way they can! All the rooms are very spacious.

I think the only thing we regret about our stay at the Palace at Naklo was that we had booked only one night! We can only echo what the other reviews say, it is really a very pleasant and welcoming place. There is no formal restaurant but Marzena cooks a wonderful dinner (oh that raspberry pie!) and breakfast is equally great. Reservation is by e-mail only but both Kehrt and Marzena reply very promptly. The hosts are very welcoming, making you feel at home immediately, but they also give you your own space. The room we had (the blue room) was very spacious. The bathroom is lovely, great shower. The building is still work in progress, so as noted by others, the floors are not everywhere finished, but you actually hardly notice this. If you are in the area, we definitely recommend staying here!…

The Palac w Naklie is a real gem. It is the ideal place to find rest in beatiful nature. The castle offers great rooms and appartments. It once belonged to the Komerowski family, came down in communist times and was restored step by step by the owners. They did a great job ! The owners are very pleasant people, who do really everything to make you feel at home. They offer excellent food too, although there is no formal restaurant. You can sit outside and relax and watch the park. In the neighboorhood, Częstochowa is worth a visit.

An off the beaten track place to stay. My room was large, the bed comfortable and the facilities very good. Dinner, cooked by the owner, was delicious, as was breakfast. You can walk in the grounds and enjoy some peace and quiet. I would stay here again.

As my wife and I have a passion for rebuilt / renovated historical properties in Poland, we were looking for an interesting place to stay when we where in the region. I could go on about what a wonderful job Marzena and Kehrt have done so far, I would focus on what wonderful hosts and companions during our stay they were. First of all, think off coming to see friends rather than meeting the proprietors. They are warm and entertaining, make you feel at home rather than in a hotel. Not too mention the homemade meals using only the freshest local ingredients. I could go on and on, but best go see for yourself.

We chose to stay at the Palace because of its location between Czestochowa, where we had been visiting, and Krakow, to where we were heading. It proved to be an excellent decision. Prior to our visit, Kehrt was very helpful and responsive to emailed questions. The drive from Czestochowa was about an hour long and we arrived just before dinner time. The room we were allocated, the Red, was quite amazing. As others have noted, the Palace is a restoration. It is still a work in progress so, for example, the Red room has a plywood floor because it has not yet been finished. Its furniture, however, was of a high "antique" standard. The food was very tasty and, in the best of Polish traditions, of a quantity to feed a minor army! In fact, our only mistake was that we had eaten a failry large lunch only a few hours earlier.…

We stayed at the Palace for 2 nights whilst making our way across Poland. The building itself is amazing and it's restoration to it's former glory a labor of love for the owners Kehrt and Marzanna. This is a place to kick off your shoes and unwind. We did day trips to Czestochowa and also to a few of the old medieval castles and ruins that the area is well known for. Best of all just sit on the terrace with a drink and read a book then enjoy a beautiful dinner cooked by Marzanna. Kehrt and Marzanna support various local organisations and are active in their community. One activity is their horseshoe throwing competition and we happily played a few warm up games one evening. Girls v Boys... still some dispute regarding the real winners on the evening! As far as room selection they are all wonderfully furnished, beds are comfortable and every room has a view of the surrounding gardens. Thank you Kehrt and Marzanna for your hospitality.…
