The location is the number one reason for choosing this hotel. It is located at the start of the restaurant’s, bars and shops which are within 2 minutes walk. The Siam rooms are spacious and well equipped for a two week vacation. Breakfast is very good and has something for everyone. Plenty of sun beds and towels changed on demand. Reception is the weak spot here and we checked in using google translate on a mobile. We booked a van to take us to Phuket airport for a short break in Bangkok and on departure day it was not ready and they seemed lost having taken out money. So convinced they would not meet us upon return I asked hotel in Bangkok to call them and Tui using messaging app. Laid back vibe on an amazing beach .. what’s not to like ….

Stayed at the beautiful Laguna resort from 13th Nov. We got upgraded to the Ocean view villa for the 1st night and then for the rest of the nights we were in the Siam Chalet villas. Had booked two rooms. Apart from the food part, the resort is excellent. The front desk staff was very cooperative and helpful. Will definitely come back. Wanted to buy the lovely beach bag but due to some confusion was unable to do so.

KhaoLak Laguna Resort This was our third visit to KhaoLak Laguna Resort our last being in 2018. We traveled as a group of four with TUI staying from end of Feb to early March on an all inclusive basis in two private villas. Buffet Breakfast was in the Oriental Restaurant. Lunch and evening meals are served in the extended Sundowner Restaurant which now has sufficient undercover seating in the event of inclement weather. Lunch and evening meals were al a carte with a variety of Thai cuisine, Pasta, burgers and steaks etc. The bar in the Club Lounge was extremely quiet and closed at 22:30. The Sundowner Restaurant also provided a bar service from 11:00 through to circa 22:30. There is very limited entertainment. There are two pools. The top pools decking has apparently recently been refurbished, however, the lower pool near the beach decking is in need of some attention. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols. The beach is hard packed sand, very clean and just like a UK beach, it’s perfect for walking. The sea is warm with some waves. The hotel provides complimentary surf boards, two seater canoes and boogie boards. The gardens are well planted and maintained. Walking around the resort and in the small stream are water monitor lizards. The staff who we had most interaction with at the Sundowner Restaurant were all attentive, pleasant and helpful we would like to thank Ju, Na, Thai, Jeab, May, AO and A Overall, the KhaoLak Laguna Resort is typically Thai decor, low key and somewhat rustic we really enjoyed our stay and are returning for a fourth visit in Feb 2024.

Must say we totally enjoyed our stay in the resort. The staff were wonderful and helpful and the welcomed us with open arms. The room was beautiful and clen and comfortable we felt spoilt, and we thought we were in heaven listening to the waves at night. The pool and the amenities were great and clean. The breakfast that was provided was really good and fresh never had a bad one plenty of choice. The Sundowners restaurant was great for a light lunch while you are at the pool.

A lovely hotel which is well situated just a 5 minute stroll away from bang la on which is the main strip of restaurants etc in the khao lak area. Check in in was quick and easy by polite reception staff and taken to our room with things explained en route. We had a room overlooking one of the wildlife ponds which was great and very clean and well maintained.absolutely loved sitting on the veranda with a coffee in the morning watching kingfishers etc perched on the handrails of one of the bridges on the slightly elevated walkways.monitor lizards were also frequent visitors to the pond and waterways which are within the hotel gardens. The hotel has a very enviable position being beach front with a gently sloping beach making it as safe as can be to swim in the sea or to paddle board etc. Plenty of choice at breakfast for even the fussiest of eaters and the elevated restaurant gives you the option to look out over the pools and the beach. All in all a very good hotel in an enviable position a great beach front and very polite staff.

We stayed at this resort from 24 Feb to 10 March 2023 staying in a bungalow on the all inclusive basis. This was our third visit having stayed in 2017 and 2018. The resort sits on a large piece of land right on the beach with two well maintained pools and lovely grounds. The bungalow was roomy, well appointed, comfortable bed and cleaned daily. The Oriental Restaurant was only used for breakfast during our stay, open between 6:30 and 10:30 and had everything we needed, with all the staff being really helpful. Lunches and evening meals were served at the Sundowner Restaurant which looks over the beach. The staff were amazing and I’d like to thank Ju, A, Jeab, Na, Thai, May, Ao, Eye for looking after us so well. There were two al a carte menus one for lunch offering Thai, pasta, burgers/sandwiches and desserts) and one for dinner (traditional Thai, pasta dishes, fish, steaks and desserts). There was also a drinks menu which included beers, cocktails, spirits, soft drinks and hot drinks. The beach is brilliant for walking on and the waves were enjoyed by all ages with the resort offering canoes, paddle boards and boogie boards free of charge. We have already booked our next visit and look forward to seeing the staff again in 2024.

We were here for 2 weeks and the first week and a half worked great, then the Chinese customers came and the service got a little worse. The quality of the room cleaning got worse, the pool towels were sometimes missing, the trash cans were not clean, the balcony was not swept from the flowers that attracted a lot of ants and the cleaning was overall a bit sloppy, which used to work great. The hotel's breakfast also changed, each bowl was filled with varying degrees of hot food. When we get here and before the Chinese, only half of the bowls were full. It gave me the impression that they took "better" care of other customers and us Europeans are not as important customers But as I said the first week and a half was great and everything works well and the hotel is very nice and in a good location. The hotel's restaurant is again really overpriced and not that good. We always went out to eat in the evening, because you could get better food for much cheaper elsewhere.

Our first room was lovely but we were disturbed by the noise vibration from an adjacent AC unit. Reception were very helpful and arranged us a new room, which was also very good (huge!) think the rooms have had recent refurbs as everything was spot on. (The next block had workmen in so think the whole place is being upgraded) the breakfast area needs to be next, lovely views over the pool and sea from here but area needs a bit of attention. Agree with a previous review, the guy on the piano in the bar was not going to attract customers! We called in most evenings for a game of pool on our return, after first couple of nights the barman usually had it set up ready for us! (Pool table is free) great beachfront loungers, this hotel probably has best position along this part of Khao Lak beach . We would love to return. Great choice of restaurants nearby.
