For a 3 star resort Fanari provides everything you need, with quiet, comfortable and clean rooms and facilities.

On request we were upgraded to a seafront room, which is more a self contained unit than a room, overlooking the ocean.

Easy access to jump in the sea at high tide or walk down the beach at low tide.

The bathrooms are a bit tired, with a totally useless shower head in the bath (they’d be better to get rid of the bath and make it a bigger shower area you can properly stand in to wash).

The beds are big, we had two queens so had great sleep.

Small but clean pool, sunbeds needed cleaning, but the surroundings were very tidy.

Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful. Very nice breakfast included in the room.

Ideal for couples or families, great shallow pool for the little ones.

The seafront hotel is located near the end of the road, and we found ample places to eat, drink, relax and get massages on the beach.

Located a short walk to the coastline but where hotels have been allowed to develop their properties over the beach. You can only get past these properties at low tide. All beaches in Thailand are public so I was disappointed to find this development was allowed to occur.
My room was on the second floor (first being ground) overlooking the large pool area. It had 2 double beds, storage space, fairly quiet aircon and cable TV with some channels in english. The bed had clean linens with the standard firm mattress. Lighting was adequate.
The bathroom had a segregated shower with good water and pressure. I did have to ask for toilet paper.
Most of the poolside rooms were vacant but I'm not one to 'beg' for upgrades. I'm happy with what I pay for.
Don't expect the restaurant to be open or any live music or dance performances as stated on Booking.com. There is a minimart opposite and a few restaurants are open nearby.
Overall, I had a comfortable stay here.

A staff did bother and talked behide customer.
There was a waitor talk behide me and he had attendtion to do that since he knew that I can speak Thai.
In breakfast's time he stood next to me and tried to speak very lound with other waitresses that I have spent 2 hours in breakfast (actually I didn't have 2 hours or even I did , it's the customer's right to have breakfast anyway). So I ignored him.

But he didn't stop and keep bothering again.
For the second time, he try to speak loundly again (almost like yelling) when i sat on the table that "Others customer had breakfast and gone already but I still keep having breakfast and so on." ( There are still many customers having breakfast. And breakfst time was still not time up.)
I don't understand why I paid full of money for the hotel but still got blame like I am eating for free? It's breakfast time.
I was having breakfast during a breakfast time that the hotel provided, didn't break any rules or bother others, stay in my own area but why he have to bother me?
This staff/waitor shouldn't have destroied others relaxed atmosphere and learning how to have a good manner + service mind.
I went there and prefer to relaxed not getting bother like this.

Wow , what a find ! Have to admit , for price we paid ,our expectations weren’t that high ! How wrong were we ! Great room , ok not the most ‘ up to date ‘ but was big , great air con , huge bed , good shower , nice balcony , fresh sheets , towels and pool towels daily , Wi-Fi was good . Breakfast , what a great choice , yoghurt , fresh fruits , cereals , pastries , fresh egg station , with beautiful fresh eggs , bacon , sausages , a curry featured every morning ( delicious ) good coffee , only slight downside , the fruit juices , more like squash and very sweet . 2 nice pools , one on the bungalow side , this has plenty of shade , should you want . A 5 min stroll to a nice beach , 2 sunbeds and umbrella , 200thb
Short walk from Fanari you have an abundance of bars , restaurants and massage places and the night market !
Staff at the hotel are lovely , very friendly , anything you ask , they try and oblige .
Value for money at its best ! Well done Fanari ! And see you next year we hope !

24 hours after booking online… had to cancel due to change in work commitments, hotel refused to refund payment.. poor customer relations. Would not recommend this hotel to deal with as customers deserve to be treated better after Covid ..

We were happy with our stay here. Good location within walking distance to restaurants on the beach as well as in the town space. Make are you visit Bang Niang markets if you stay here - these are also walking distance. We had a pool access room in the Courtyard - clean and tidy. Bathrooms a bit old but neat and no issues. Fridge in room. Restaurant was nice for breakfast. There’s a massage place on site which is the same price as everywhere else and pretty good. Overall quite happy

A quiet and lovely resort. Close to the beach and fabulous pool area. Towels are provided. The shower was not the most powerful and breakfast was average. The room was cleaned daily and there was a lovely spacious balcony.

Lovely hotel really. The hotel probably lacks some of the amenities but as I said on my last review - you get what you pay for.

We had a Pool Access room 104. For the room, beds and sheets were clean, comfortable and big. No coffee set but I'm okay with that. I could use more hanging racks though as i'm not really quite sure where to set the wet towels. Amenities are 2 queen beds, 1 sofa bed, television with cable, laundry bags, in room safe, hairdryer. Pool towels you can get by the reception. For the bathroom, i am very glad they have hot water! Needed that. Free wifi as well!

For the pool, it's clean enough. Though there were stains on the tiles, but this is not a big issue. Breakfast, they issued a slip for choices - bacon, ham, sausage, slice of processed cheese, and eggs. On the buffet line have juices, coffee, milk, yogurt, cereals, salami, croissants, jams and toasts.

The reception staff, Klang, was a pleasure to talk to! Friendly and accommodating. She even gave me a good deal for the room! A lovely lady. My friends and I are totally going back for sure (and will invite more!). Thank you for a great stay!

I wish I knew the following when I selected this hotel:

1. It's way over priced for what it is compared to any hotel in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, USA, etc. Because the price of CAD$100 per night was too high for the room and service then the hotel scores poor. This is a USD$45-$50 per night hotel, nothing more.

2. This is a good hotel but know It's only a 2 1/2 star hotel not 3 or 4 star, and that's ok if you know this. It's a good hotel but priced as if it's 4 star. This hotel was more expensive per night then my Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco in Nov (which Anthony Bourdain says has the best bar in America).

3. Not hot water in bathroom sink for morning shaving. This is the third supposedly 4 star hotel that didn't have hot water in the bathroom sink. The water in the shower is a drizzle from a on the wall runtime electric heater, so I had to run between the bathroom sink and the shower to have a hot blade to shave my face. Ridiculous for the price. I've stayed in shacks in Nanibia that hat hot water in the sink.

4. Resturant is very poor. I ordered Duck Red curry. I received duck green curry that was yellow looking which is when a curry doesn't have a good green paste as well as not enough sweet basil added to it. I t hen asked the waiter why do I have green curry instead of Red and they said no it's green. I said no its not and they called over 3 other people and they all proceeded to tell me it's red. I then started to explain to them the different spices between red and green paste, how to make each paste and why red is always. At that point they all had a "Busted" look on their face and called the chef out, explained in Thai and the chef cam over looked at my dish out of surprise and said Sorry, she accidently put the green curry sauce in with the duck and not the red sauce. This is an understanadble mistake, all be it a bad one but we make mistakes. However the waiter staffs behavior was very poor. But they wouldn't change the dish and still charged it to my room. Fail!

5. There is no outside the hotel dialing from your room, which was a problem because it took 45min for the staff to finally be able to explain this because it was beyond their comprehension to understand my English request of asking for the number to dial to get an outside line. The idea of calling from a hotel room to another location was a new concept.

All in all a poor overpriced experience that if priced right would have earned 3 maybe 4 stars. Southern Thailand is overpriced and if Sandles Resorts opened a few all inclusive hotels in Thailand everyone else would cut their prices in half. My belief after living in Sweden for a year where Scandavians live a healthy minimalistic high cost lifestyle is they come to Thailand and everything is cheap compared to Scandavia and so over pay for few amenities. But it's cheaper to go to south of Spain on the beach than Thailand.

Hiya. Sorry for the slow response. There is no tea or coffee making possibility in the rooms. Beach is 100-600m walk. Depending which beach spot you want to go to. Regards.
