We were pleased to find this hotel after a less-than-perfect one in same town. Cousins is quiet and a 5-minute walk to beach. Manager and staff are friendly and helpful. Small pool is perfect for refreshing oneself after the beach. Grounds are well landscaped.

I could probably leave it at “incredibly average” and that would just about cover everything for you. The rooms are mind numbingly basic, but very clean, and cleaned every day. Pool area, is small, but again very clean, and plenty of loungers available without the 6am towel dash by our German friends. Food/restaurant, really bad, I mean pretty much inedible, sooooooooooooo glad we didn’t include breakfast in our room rate. Service, well, wasn’t any really, apart from “Smiley” who seemed to be ploughing a lone furrow. We went down with food poisoning on our first day (not suggesting for a second this was Cousin resorts fault) and so we were largely confined to the resort grounds for about a week. As the hotel doesn’t provide tea coffee etc, I asked if I could have a sachet of sugar to make a cup of tea in the room, using a tea bag left by previous guest, and was told no, and to go to the supermarket! I know hotel margins are very tight and not paying attention to them can mean the difference between profit and loss, but ONE sachet of sugar when badly ill and you cant get out???? I mean, come on guys!!! Would I come back? Well for me, and for the above reason alone, of course not. However the real question you need to consider, is, are you looking for a stop off for old folks before the big sleep sets in, or, are you looking for a holiday/vacation? If the former, you’ll love the community feel, if the latter, try elsewhere.

Nice gardens and place kept clean. Pool average size but great for a refreshing dip and plenty of sunbeds around. Quite close to beach and in walking distance of the strip with loads of bars and restaurants. The Chalets are a good size. There were 9 of us (big Irish family) so for our first time in Thailand as a family we could not have had a better welcome or hotel. The staff are so nice and really cant do enough to help out. I would highly recommend here and will definitely return.

Everything works, no big hiccups. For a swimmable beach you need to go a few hundred meters further north. Also a little bit away from restaurants, shops etc, but that is of course a positive or a negative depending on your wishes. I'd recommend renting a motorbike...

Having read the previous reviews I double checked to make sure I was leaving a review for the right hotel. Our first time in Thailand and we could not have had a better welcome or hotel. We arrived near midnight but were met with a smile and shown to our bungalow which was very clean and spacious with plenty of closet space with a fridge.air conditioning and kettle. Outside we had a lovely balcony with comfy wooden furniture overlooking the well kept garden. Pool area was great with plenty of sunbeds and brollies the pool itself was always clean with any windblown leaves cleaned as soon as they landed. The staff and cleaning team were polite and always ready with a smile if you asked for pool towels or a spare pillow. Overall our stay was perfect and I would not hesitate to stay here again especially as we were next door to Alan or{ Arandora} who was always on hand with expert advice...but perhaps you should ignore his weather forecasts???
