Fully refurbished to a very high - end standard , Billesley Manor Hotel and Spa is set in 11 acres of stunning parkland and manicured gardens and grounds, Billesley Manor Hotel and Spa is a stunning 16th century Elizabethan manor house. Located just 3 miles from Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon-Avon, this historic property is steeped in history and charm. Once referenced in the Domesday Book, the grounds feature an 11th century church and an ornate topiary garden, which was planted over 130 years ago to replicate a chess board from Alice in Wonderland. Bedrooms combine traditional character with 21st century luxuries, options include a variety within the manor house or Cedar barns. The Stuart Restaurants and Great Hall offer the perfect backdrop for drinks and dining with original oak panelling, original fireplaces, first class food and attentive natural service. The Spa has everything you need to unwind, keep fit. Why not simply relax in the therapy rooms and enjoy the extensive range of Espa treatments. When you spend the night at Billesley, you are sleeping where several significant historical events occurred. It was here that William Shakespeare put ink to paper and wrote the sonnet ‘As You Like It’ and his granddaughter wed and it is reputed that he did too when he married Anne Hathaway. Enjoy all that Billesley Manor has to offer in this stunning rural setting.

A very impressive hotel. Our room was spacious and traditional with a superb en-suite. Being so old and listed don't expect wind tight windows. Still warm and comfortable. Staff lovely. Great car park

A fantastic Manor with history and charm. The stay failed to live up to expectations and the dining experience was very disappointing. Reception staff are very supportive and friendly as are the breakfast staff. However bar and evening staff seemed less interested in ensuring guests were happy and instead make excuses for issues they had. After complaining we did get concessions on the cost of dining which helped, but the overall experience was a big disappointment. It was clear that there were many other dissatisfied guests too. We also had a room in the main house which had a very noisy corridor and the upstairs room had very creaky floorboards too, so we barely slept on the second evening when the hotel was full.

Very well maintained old manor house with lovely rooms and areas to relax, with open fires. Super friendly and helpful staff for whom nothing is too much trouble. Dinner was excellent and breakfast top notch. The spa area with pool and a small sauna & steam room was lovely and clean. Christmas decorations were grand and we'll also be returning in the summer to make the most of the fabulous grounds.

We recently stayed one night and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the minute you arrived, lots of parking, a lovely exterior and setting and wonderful entrance beautifully decorated for Christmas. Met by a lovely lady who explained everything we needed to know in detail. We were in one of the rooms in the 'barn' and it was exceptional. A lovely big bed, great bathroom that led to a sort of walk-in wardrobe. A place to keep your clothes and bags and get changed. Everything spacious and spotlessly clean. There were some great touches - lamps everywhere, box of tissues on table and in the bathroom, a lamp/mirror which came on when you walked into the bathroom (very helpful the middle of the night). A folder full of brilliant information about the hotel and the area. The room was lovely and warm too. USB'S in every socket and great dispensers for gels and soaps. We used the spa and pool which isn't huge but still very nice. The lady on reception was very helpful and polite. The sauna, steam room and changing room very good. The walk to the spa is good too with a topiary garden, can't wait to go back in the summer :-) The bar area is lovely, with young but very nice staff, served us with a smile. The eating area look very good too but we choose to go into town. We didn't have breakfast either so can't comment on the food but there is an option to have breakfast delivered to your room for smallish cost. Two tiny things too improve, more tea bags in the room (only 2 when we arrived) the area by the door in the walk-in wardrobe could have another shelf and rail like the one on the other side so you have more room to hang stuff. These are very minor and overall the hotel is outstanding, we will return. Highly recommended :-)

This place is fantastic! I wanted to go to a traditional hotel at Christmas time, sit in front of a roaring fire reading my book with a cocktail. This was perfection. The rooms are beautiful and the spa/gym is the cherry on the cake. We will definitely be returning.

A wonderful period house with stunning views and great ambiance. The room was magnificent (room 4), with an enormous bathroom with bath and shower and 2 sinks. The main room area was fantastic with great carved panels, a wonderful fireplace and a 4 poster bed. The bed was really large and comfortable. I liked the coffee machine and the fresh water daily. The room was serviced whilst we were in breakfast so that we weren't disrupted in any way. The hotel really scores highly because all of the staff are friendly and efficient, nothing is too much trouble for them. We have visited the hotel before and each time the stay improves. We will be returning to enjoy the good life again soon.
