We have been staying for 15 days in this magnificent place for two consecutive years if you want to feel as comfortable as at home
The apartments are always perfect and clean. The swimming pool is always well looked after
The staff is always present for every need
Perfect management..... And then Geidy and Francesco are fabulous hosts always present and ready to resolve any inconvenience (if there were any).
For future years I will never change this splendid place for any reason in the world and I advise anyone who wants to come and holiday here not to look for other accommodation but only and exclusively Los Flamencos

My husband and I are overjoyed we decided to stay at Los Flamengos Aparthotel in Dominicus, DR. The location is very quiet and safe and close by you will find the public beach, a groceries store and various restaurants and coffee houses. The apartment itself is wonderful. Very clean, spacious and airy. We stay in a 2 bedroom apartament and had two full bath for just us two. The balcony that the overlooks the very nice pool and garden is a pleasant place to take your morning coffe or even eat there if you like. The kitchen has everything you need for a vacation and the beds are very comfortable. Downstair they have a public area with free internet and sometime you may get internet even from your balcony. It has AC but the ceilings fans in every room were enough for us. The hosts, Carmelo and Giusy are wonderful. They treated us like long lost friends and catered to every need we had. They showed us the nice beaches, arranged excursions for us and even took us at La Romana to buy groceries! The night and day staff were also always at hands if you needed anything. We could not have wished for more on our stay. Los Flamengos Aparthotel is the only place we would ever consider staying in Dominican Republic and we highly recommended to anyone that wants to spend a stress free vacation.

This is our first time to Los Flamencos and it is for sure not the last one!
I went with my family and some friends. We rented 4 apartments and none of us had any issues.
All apartments were clean, complete and everyone from the staff was friendly. The pool is very clean. They have a small restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner for great prices. The beach is very close and there is a street at night time with stores and restaurants that you can visit. We really recommend this place.

We booked three 2 bedroom apartments for one night last weekend, we are locals so we used it as an overnight place when visiting Saona island.
This place overall is a good place to stay for a short period of time.
My experience was not that good, I guess because it does not start well at check inn and does not end well at check out. I booked direct from their page as the suggest me by phone, I printed the receipt and make a deposit to their bank account as they suggest in order to reconfirm the reservation. At arrival, they told me that by a mistake of their webpage they do not include a US$ 25 fee per room for cleaning after we leave. I was charged US$ 25 that I thought was for the 3 rooms as it shows in my email and reservation receipt, but there was an extra US$50. OK, no problem I accepted the extra charge.
But at checkout, when leaving they show me a notebook written by hand with 3 numbers, my room ( only my room, the others has similar charges ) has an energy consumption extra charge of US$ 41, for less than 12 hours in the room) . We arrived after having dinner at 11 pm and leave at 8:30 am.
So be careful, hotel is ok, but when you book it, it does not include air conditioner or energy, you have to add it, and it's a lot of money that you have no control how it's measured, maybe because is impossible to use that amount in 10 hours. So you'll nevesr know how much money you are going to spend until your departure.
As a local I know 99 % of hotels fares in the Dominican Rep. includes energy, if you add this crazy extra to their web page rate for sure you are going to find a nicer place without crazy high "extras".
Another thing is beach is far, you'll need a car to move around. The closest beaches are at private hotels.
Hope this help someone to avoid extras surprises :)

Be prepared to add about $10/night for electricity. This is in addition to the $25 cleaning fees for your stay. The cleaning fee is added when you make the reservation. The electricity is dependent on your usage during the stay. Although it was in the fine print, we were quite surprised by the extra things we have to pay. They might as well include the charges in the rates per night and have the charges upfront because honestly who is not going to use electricity during the stay? Appear affordable but all the extra things add up. We only stay for 1 night. Room rate = $54 (looks cheap) + $25 (cleaning fee) + $10 electricity = $89.06 (not that cheap anymore). Shampoo or soap are not provided either. The complex is nice and clean. Free Wi-fi is only in the lobby or pool area, not in your room. Park at your own risk since it is not gated.

We made our reservation first for 31 nights for a Family apartment
Contact was ok, absolutely no problems, fast responding.
We had to change our reservation from 31 nights to 28 nights.
Unfortunately there was no difference in the price because we made a “special booking" so we had to pay the same price for less nights.
Complex is nice, staff at the reception is very helpful, actually you have to ask 5 times to get an answer for your question.
Dont get me wrong, they are really doing their best.
The guy at the bar was also friendly, unfortunately he couldnt understand even a word what i am talking about.
The owners and the staff is from Italy so some of them understands just Italian and Spanish.
So now a few No-Gos: - Free Internet at the public area--There is free internet in the bar, but not in the whole public area.
I really dont understand why Internet is not free of charge in the 21th century in every apartment.
During our 28 night stay, there were 9 nights without internet because something was "wrong" with the router.
If you want to use Internet in your room, you have to pay 5 USD/night.
Actually if you stay 28 nights, it is not the best deal...If you calculate that you have to pay additional 5 USD/night for the Safe key...The safe is in the room, but if you need a key for it, you have to pay extra...
Unfortunately there was no sorry for the inconvenience or something like this.
So i rent the router for the rest of the stay because i needed internet and the public area Internet was.......
There is an additional fee for the electricity as well.
We had to pay around 100 EUR but we havent use the AC, not even 1 time.
-- No option to pay with Credit Card.( not even for deposit )
-- You have to pay on arrival for the whole stay in Cash or PayPal.( If you prefer PayPal, you have to pay the PayPal fees as well.)

-Our flight home was at 9 PM so we asked the staff for a late checkout because we were with a 11 month baby, so relaxing at the pool for a day was not a good option for us.
We got an answer on departure day at 10 AM that we have to leave the room until 11 AM.
I was really sad because you cant do this with a family who made a reservation in the most expensive suite you have for a month.
We had to stay at the pool till 6 PM so we realized that the cleaning staff went to our room at 3 PM.
It would be more that perfect for me to stay till 3 PM in the room but anyway...

summary:
I recommend this apartment for people who speak Italian or Spanish.
The apartment is ok, actually you dont have hot water all the time.
Service is less than poor.
The price is not bad but when you calculate with the additional fees you have to pay, you can find a lot of better options than Los Flamencos.
Distance from the beach is around 15 minutes by walk, it was no problem for us.
There is an Italian restaurant near the apartment but thats it.

We had a great holiday in the Dominican Republic with our baby but i dont recommend Los Flamencos for Families who are looking for European or Asian standards.

We rented 2 of the 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartments. They were just okay. While it was nice to have space and private rooms there was nothing else. Our stove kept clicking like the pilot was on. There was just a few diahes, pans, and cook wear. They left us less then 1/4 of a roll of toilet paper. There was not one towel in the bathroom.
We asked for ice and where told just a small bowl because that's not provided. The staff was not at all friendly. Except for the guy in the restaurant he was very nice. The pool area was beautiful but ice cold. It was about a 1/4 mile walk to the beach.
We asked for a few minimal items through out or stay to include garbage bags, and they would tell us they will bring them and never did.

All in all it was a decent place, that was quiet and quaint. Just come prepared with towels, toilet paper, garbage bags and anything else you think might be in the room, because it's not.

We were here overnight since we were going to visit Isla Saona the next day. It was cheap so I was a bit skeptical but the location was perfect and the apartments literally look just like the pictures! The unit was entirely clean, from the kitchen to the bathrooms. Very spacious and accommodating. You do have to pay for electricity separate (there is AC in the units). The pool is big and refreshing. Overall the hotel is a great option!

A great place with a great staff, they make you feel like home away from home, from the moment you arrive there. The complex is located near shops, restaurants and the beach. Convenient location near everything you need for your vacation and at the same time, quite for a restful nigh.
I couldn't have chosen a better place to stay with my family.

It all depends on the consumption you make in the apartment, each person pays differently because not everyone consumes the same amount.
