It is 2 minutes walk from the Harbour and the Beach. Broadchurch was filmed nearby. Coast versus country was filmed in the restaurant. We are free house and this means tasting local beers unavailable anywhere else in the area.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Ample parking, a nice little pub downstairs and a comfortable room with a huge bathroom. Double bed not a king size but very comfortable and we slept well. Breakfast was extremely good with a wide choice of items and freshly cooked for us. Staff friendly and helpful

I visit The Bay a lot and have given regular updates on my initial outstanding review. I have to say I wholeheartedly agree with the previous comment that the glory days of this establishment are long gone. It is cold, impersonal and unwelcoming. The seating has been re-arranged with a selection of what I can only describe as uncomfortable milking stools. Still, let's see what happens next, it could get a bit boisterous at times and a new type of clientele is maybe what the owners are seeking.

Chose this guesthouse as they accept dogs, reasonable price and fab location. Friendly staff, clean and tidy bedroom, very good towels and bedding. Comfortable room with complimentary tea/coffee/biscuits. Good breakfast, and amazing Thai supper from the van in the car park. This is a must - eat in the bar with a glass of wine. Such good value. Some noise from the bar beneath our room, but as it closed about 11pm that was fine.

I visit to this bar quite often, the staff here are amazing but from what I have witnessed the staff here are over worked and when this place is busy the owners just walk around doing nothing to help and make the staff do everything. Very sad to see all the locals are gone, used to have some amazing nights when they where here. I have also witnessed the owner treating the locals with less respect than the holiday makers and the guests of The Durbeyfield.
