Stopped here whilst driving from Christchurch to the West Coast. A nice bar, warm and friendly. We had a bowl of chips which was a good size portion to share between the four of us. Would recommend as a good rest stop if passing by.

Wonderful bijoux hotel on the Wilderness Cycle Trail. We were a large group which the staff effortlessly catered for over our evening and next morning, eating and drinking in the very tasteful little bar and restaurant. Excellent service, highly recommend.

Beautifully and thoughtfully restored, I had a delightful stay here. It is a real pleasure to see New Zealand's heritage valued in the way. Staff were lovely and the food was good. I was lucky enough to have the Louisa Jane room, which faces north and is furthest away from the road. Kumara is loaded with fascinating history so even...

This is really a great spot for family to stay if passing through the South Island. We looked in hokitika but didn't find much & this is a great option! The miners cottages are brand new nicely fit out & have all the home comforts you could need. Very happy to be staying here and so comfy!

This is such a fabulous place to stay ... histories, nostalgia, essence of the Coast combines with luxuriously modern bathroom and wonderful food ... short detour off highway ... so worth it. Located close to Hokitika which is another must do town, this hotel has a brilliant chef, all modern amenities, and the cutest surrounding village. A must.

Stayed here one night. Across the road from the theatre. Went down to the pub for a snort and caught up with the locals. No Guinness here. Had a dark speights instead. Anyway the cottage had a room called Barney (2) and the bed was comfy and on suite. Road traffic not a problem. Recommend having the whitebait fritters from...

A group of us stayed here. The hotel is beautifully restored. The rooms are so pretty, clean and our bed was so comfortable. The rooms each had their own name after an historic personality. The ensuite bathroom was warm and clean. The dinner was of a very high standard and we all enjoyed our meal very much.

Went for lunch, as was our anniversary. We live on the East coast, and travelled the 3.5 hours to get there to celebrate. We weren't disappointed. I had a Caesar salad GF. Delicious. My husband had the Miners Breakfast. His comment was premium ingredients. I enjoyed a pot of tea, served in a fine China tea cup. Hmmm plenty of...

I went to the Seddon150 anniversary soiree at the Theatre Royal, an amazing evening of great company, delicious food, and entertainment. People put effort into their historic costumes, songs were sung and poems read, and the food was delicious and well worth the ticket price. A great venue, lovely competent staff, and I left with a full stomach. WELL DONE...
