We booked an all inclusive package via loveholidays and was very sceptical about the hotel after looking at the views on trip advisor. Safe to say we were more than impressed and feel that the negative reviews create such a false impression of the Golden Tulip and staff.

The only negative about the holiday was the delayed check in for us, we arrived at 12:30pm and was advised the room would be ready at 2pm, which is stated on their website. We were given our all inclusive bands and was welcomed to have lunch, after eating, a walk around and a few drinks we didn’t get the room key until 3:30pm as they were so busy with an influx of new guests arriving.

However, the wait was well worth it! We booked a standard economy room which was located on the 4th floor, they do have lifts. We had a room which included a double bed, single bed and balcony over the pool and slight sea view too. The room was clean and spacious, included a mini fridge stocked with water, air con and tv. Each time we popped the sign on the door for our room to be cleaned it was and we were given fresh towels too.

All inclusive is definitely worth it, unlimited drinks which included alcoholic drinks like cocktails and beer and three buffet styled meals. The food variety was good, something for everyone and the days themes changed too from Mexican to Italian etc. Fahia (I hope I’m spelling her name correctly) welcome us to each meal and the restaurant staff are so attentive.

The pools are brilliant and there’s no need to fight over sunbeds as there’s plenty. You can hire pool towels from the mini market on site, the couple who own this are lovely and know how to have banter like us British.

The hotel is located directly across the beach and there’s sunbeds there too you can use for free that belong to the hotel. There’s a little white hut too where you can get soft drinks and water with the all inclusive bands. Always felt safe leaving our belongings on the sunbeds and hopping in the sea and there’s someone from the hotel watching the beds.

We booked two excursions whilst at the hotel with Chedli, the pirate boat and quad biking! Both amazing experiences and couldn’t recommend enough! Transfers will pick up and return you to and from the hotel which is included within the price. Aladdin gave us some lovely henna tattoos too! The entertainment team and staff are spot on, really go above and beyond to check in with you and ensure you’re well.

No amount of photos or what I can say will do the Golden Tulip any justice, we had such a great experience and honestly would love to go back. We would like to thank everyone for their hospitality over the past week!🌷🥰

Overall we had a satisfying stay, but there are big negatives... first the noise!! Do not accept to be "upgraded to sea view" it is a disaster in terms of noise... an open air disco is located 20 meters from the rooms, and it closes around 4 am!!
Second thing reception! No welcome! We were handed a paper to fill in, once filled in and after paying the tourist tax we were vulgarly handed a key without instructions so we managed, do not go to make a request either because they will tell you yes yes yes to get rid of you but nothing is done, I explain by 2 times we did not have a towel on our way back from the beach (around 12pm), we wanted to shower before going to lunch, I first asked the maintenance staff that I found in the corridors but they did not have one I was offered a sheet to wipe us! I went to the reception to ask for some ok we arrived but 30 minutes later still nothing!
Deckchairs are to be renewed whether at the beach or around the pool, if you are lucky enough to find a mattress it is passable but if not they are unbearable and hurt your back.
At the beginning of the stay all the drinks were hot!! By 35° is not great, we claim but we are told that they only have that... we finally learned that they had a problem with fridges... no communication.
The buffet is clean and varied, the staff at the restaurant is kind... they try to do their best to satisfy you because regularly you wait to find an available table, moreover I have a suggestion to improve their working conditions: install a slope to mount their carts from the outside to the inside since they have to carry them at arm's length to climb the stairs! The beach is secure it feels good, the person who takes care of it is taking care of you! On the other hand you could make an effort for the "beach bar"! A dilapidated shed...
The hotel is clean, rooms, common areas, swimming pools on this level there is nothing to say.
My bottom line is that I'm not going back, and I'm not advising anyone around me.

We stayed 9 GG in this structure well coordinated by the staff and with a dignified and elegant welcome, cleanliness and in the standard with some extra foresight, eg: extra large shower, you will find phones, containers with foam shower and shampoo 150 ml, abundant and comfortable beds, air conditioning and on the 4th floor there is a large terrace with comfortable sofas to relax at all times.
The beach can be reached leaving the structure at about 500 MT, the disadvantage is that you have to cross the road that needs a lot of attention as it is on the curve and the view is not the best, so I invite you to the utmost attention, the beach is sandy and the sea is good, a couple of GG the weather a little foggy and windy made it a little 'goosey and dirty.
I thank the leadership of the structure, Cristina management of Eden who offers excellent excursions.
I forgot outside the hotel you will always find taxis to vs service that with 10/15 dinars take you shopping in the centers of the Medina.
THANK YOU for the hospitality

An earthquake holiday. We have certainly had bad luck with the weather, but they are absolutely not adequate or prepared even for two drops of water. Bungalow access paths flooded completely, slippery floors even with snickers. We were also left without power. Indoor spaces are not enough for all Dell hotel guests, in bad weather you do not know where to stay, flies in industrial quantities.
The kitchen workers prepare food on sight with their hands and without gloves, the amount of food is a lot but would be reduced in favor of quality, in fact there is a huge waste of food because it is bad.
Tables are not cleared quickly, you often find yourself not knowing where to sit. A Recommendation... Glasses, placemats and napkins are available and guests can arrange this themselves.
Hot tub with cold water.
Only positive note the friendly helpful but ill-educated staff.
WiFi in Bungalows non-existent, as the tv maybe useful in rainy days.
The maintainers turn with a pickaxe or screwdriver...... How they cousin me!!!
I would remove 2 stars, definitely not suitable for Italians, perhaps the cuisine is appreciated by the British who can drink and eat in quantities without quality and without leaving the hotel.
Spa girls are good
On the beach there are umbrellas and sunbeds available to Dell hotel guests, the sunbeds are like those in the pool, completely sunk, without mats, for the most part even with broken canvases.
The cleanliness of the room is very far from Italian standards. We found a pistachio shell and in the week it has always remained, a sign of little attention, even the bathroom I do not think has ever been cleaned, except for a rag that as you can see from the photo did worse than better.
In a place frequented by many Italians it is not possible that in the hotel there are only a couple of people with whom you can understand each other.
I repeat, you save only the staff but alone it is not enough
Only a few photos because space would not be enough

2nd disappointing experience in this hotel: welcome, entrance, reception nothing to say, pleasant service. and at first glance everything seems perfect and correct but once you arrive at the room and the pool (especially the activities pool), there is really a concern for cleanliness. The room: dirty floor, unusable wardrobe because of dirty shelves, questionable bathroom (hair, hair), air conditioner in poor condition.
The swimming pool: cloudy, doubtful water. over 3 days, the robot was passed only one morning.
Catering: less choice and lower quality than last year.
Please remove the placemats: hygiene-wise it’s not great at all to rotate them and return them to each new customer.
Ask your servers to change the tablecloths and tablecloths and to clean the tables (if necessary) each time they are set up please. We were served twice in a row (dressing) on tables already used without changing the table linen and placemats. This is the minimum even for a 3 star. And please remove the placemats.
After the COVID period that we have just experienced, these things should no longer exist. We are not safe from a new variant.
Little advice: change your entertainment team, especially the entertainment manager, in 3 days not even a hello, not a smile. He is not a facilitator and even less of a team leader.
We had a stay in July in the Balearic Islands in a 4-star hotel, I can guarantee you that in terms of entertainment/activities, there is everything to review at home.
We came twice, we won't come back again.

We arrived in the middle of the night, we had the Bungalow overlooking the pool which looked nice from the outside. Let's start: the safe had been forced and even a piece had been dismantled, the sink was splashing water, the fridge was leaking water, the door gave very little confidence and my boyfriend had put the trolley in front to be a little more peaceful, the air conditioner made a lot of noise and the night was not very pleasant, the furniture was very dated and it didn't look like that from the photos. We managed to change bungalows🤣 The toilet was moving and leaking water and the air conditioner had a broken vent, I was expecting a double bed and instead two single beds attached with a void in the middle and another single. Even the invasion of ants. The cleanliness of the room was very poor, however the towels and hygiene kit were provided provided every day. The food... another sore point. Very varied for those with an iron stomach, really too spicy, not much international stuff. The thing that literally disgusted me, a layer of dust that you could write on 'island where the food was present. The breakfast was decent at least there were croissants, for the rest I was very disappointed. Let's talk about the bar service, very kind and helpful guys however, the same cocktail one day was in shades of pink and a yellow day, they were not very competent. The animators and staff were very nice and helpful, there is no Alpitour entertainment. The swimming pools are really beautiful, the only positive note of this village. The village is not on the sea, as can be seen from the photo but, you have to cross the road and then sunbeds, umbrellas and drinks are provided on the beach. The area is very nice and full of clubs and shops. I really liked the Spa service, with truly competent and very polite staff. It was a gift that I wanted to give to my boyfriend, but I felt guilty and didn't expect all this. The photos deceived me, which apparently looks wonderful. One thing that makes me angry is the treatment with the bungalow, left in the wild and in any case tourists pay to have at least a decent but at least clean room. A boy we met on holiday ,he had the room and he also complained about the cleanliness. Everyone we spoke to who had the bungalow asked to change it, one couple even had it raining inside while another couple got angry and managed to get a room, I regretted not doing it too. I hope they take matters into their own hands.

I’ll start with the negatives: the bungalows actually boil down to very small basic rooms with four beds. The toilet would have required updating, as would the air conditioning, whose filter was extremely dirty and produced an unbearable noise, thus disturbing our sleep. After two days we had to pay an extra 500 euros to get two double rooms, but unfortunately these were separate.

In addition, the cleanliness of the bar was deficient and could be significantly improved, especially with a very dirty door and finger-marked windows.

The highlight of our stay is undoubtedly the quality of the staff. First of all, the manager greatly facilitated our transfer from the bungalows to the rooms. A big bravo to the team at the bar, especially in Atef, whose good mood is simply contagious. Ghassen, from the restaurant, also charmed us with his constant smile, as did Skander and Bechir from the reception. I regret not being able to mention all the names, but thank you to all of you!

The food, meanwhile, was tasty and varied, and the animation was quite perfect, offering something for every taste

On the hotel room decent and comfortable, meals are good nothing to say at this level. Concerning the negatives. Lack of animation, maybe due to the end of the season, we were with several couples with children, no one comes to see us, the animators are present when the restaurant returns, no communication, no sharing of meals with them. Do not disturb them during their break at 3:30 pm!! For the evening entertainment , always the same story and the DJ who puts us his playlist of 10 songs every night on loop... in short..
Animation to review so..
Regarding the hotel services, be careful not to be fooled, an outing for 4 families with 2 children in sidi Bousaid will cost you 120 euros. Sold with the guide and on half day. So to sum up 2.5 hours of bus. Departure 7.30am arrival 10am. The famous guide speaks on the bus but you hear nothing, it is not a guide, arrived on the spot you are left free for 2h, departure at noon back in traffic to your hotel where you 'have only 5 minutes to eat because the restaurant closes... In short 120 euros for this shameful. The people of the hotel who sell you quad bike rides at the start at 50 euros per quad and can end up at 20 euros, to go for a ride in steep paths and without flavor where you have access just to a viewpoint... Same thing nothing to do with Djerba where we had fully enjoyed while there you take a walk at 15km/h... in short not great.
We are told not to book outside the hotel but in the end....
The water park that was sold to us with lots of slides is finally closed for a while because not to the standard, huge disappointment for the children...
The beach is easily accessible but still a lot of wave, very exposed and not maintained....
The indoor pool is fortunately heated and was welcome for children as fresh outdoor pool..
I would end with our favorite stay at all, Aladine and her tattoos, always smiling, in a good mood and the only one who comes to see you at any time of the day with the same energy. Thanks to you

I just returned from a week stay in this hotel with friends and my opinion and very mixed...

Hotel: photos on trip advisor and other sites are rather misleading as many do not reflect reality on the spot

Animation: The team and top and do are better to set the mood and liven up the evenings, a big thank you to them they have courage!

Staff: The ladies of the reception are clearly not all nice, looks bad and does not give the right information (thanks to a little young and the only one who for the shot was super nice and smiling)
At the bar are loves a big thank you to Hater who was at our care during the day and to Atef 😘 who was at the top in the evening as well as the meal staff who are at our care.
A big thank you to Aladine who does the tattoos that really were very nice.

Food: Whether in the morning, lunch or evening the buffet is really not a big hitch of the stay.

Room: Classic nothing special to say but nothing exceptional (very very firm pillow, a little too much...)
Very complicated to have in time toilet paper, bath towel not always delivered and towel for the pool not available on both 1st day (to rent at the hotel shop for 20 dinars)

Well-being: no hairdresser, manicure at the end of the season is a shame, welcoming staff all the same

Aquatic space: Heated indoor pool a little small, main outdoor pool very clean and large but cold at this time, second pool with slide space less well maintained but remains decent.

Overall decent hotel but nothing incredible and quite sad at the end of the season fortunately as the staff for the most part and at the top and very welcoming without being on our back or insisting all day.

What this wary requires:
-taxis to Hammamet Medina not more than 10 dinars, Yasmine Hammamet not more than 20 dinars, Nabeul not more than 10 dinars.
The excursions offered by the hotel are tourist traps far too expensive and not qualitative it is better to organize your own excursions and not be influenced by the insistence of the proposals made by the hotel providers.

The property enjoys a convenient location as a starting point for Hammamet and Nabeul where you can get there by taxi at 15/20 dinars, always available at the entrance. Outside the structure a few bazaars and some restaurants. The beach is opposite. You cross the road and after a few steps you are by the sea where you can have your umbrella and sun loungers. Don't expect luxury and starred cuisine. You eat fairly well, the variety is there but it is repeated daily but certainly you will not starve! The waiters are really nice and available to fulfill every request. Our rooms were clean and always tidy with towels changed even twice a day. The ladies of the floors are really smiling and friendly, as well as fast and efficient. The animation is present but with extreme discretion. A special THANK YOU to Mr. Taheur who with kindness and sympathy occupies a special place in the hotel bar. A really friendly, affable and competent person! Tomorrow will end our holiday here in Tunisia and we will carry in our hearts this wonderful staff! As for the structure I have read very negative reviews that I personally find exaggerated. Certainly no luxury here. You can find that elsewhere, paying twice or triple what's demanded here. So, in conclusion, if you are looking for an all inclusive hotel with a good location and clean rooms this will be for you; if you are able to turn a blind eye if something is not perfect you have done bingo!
