The traditional suites URSA MAJOR, Megali Arktos, on the island of Tinos, emits the Tinian and Venetian energy experiences of two centuries since the building dates back to 1801 as evidenced by the inscription on the marble of the central suite. The spaces after the restoration and operation in 2021 are designed to exude the special atmosphere of living in an authentic Cycladic village with dimensions of old aristocracy, myth and tradition, giving you the opportunity to have a unique experience that will accompany you in your dreams. The selected repositioning of the spaces in their old form and time, the enrichment with beneficial aromatic plants in the wonderful outdoor spaces, the respect for the stone and the energy enriched by the sun and the Aegean iodine will make you enjoy days & nights of real carefreeness, relaxation and wellness.

The Aiolos suite was perfect. The hot tub was lovely after exploring the island. It’s Major means Big Dipper and it is easily spotted while relaxing in the hot tub. The bed was extremely comfortable and the suite quite large with a just as large private outdoor space to enjoy. Special thanks to George. He answered any questions we had, gave suggestions, called cabs, served an amazing breakfast, asked what music you would like while eating and on and on to make our stay enjoyable. My favorite stop on our island hopping tour.

Ursa Major exceeded our expectations. Wonderful stay in a quiet place, friendly and at the same time professional service! Rich breakfast and the advantages are that it has a very sophisticated restaurant with local flavors. Well done to all of you.

One of the best hotels we have stayed. Food amazing, the rooms luxurious and clean, the place wonderful. We will definitely choose it again and I recommend it to all visitors of Tinos! A great Bravo to the staff also for the impeccable service they provided us.

This is a great place to use as a base for exploring all of the small towns of Tinos. The place is relatively new and the staff is just getting the hang of working in hospitality. All are charming and attentive. Stephanie saw that we wanted to walk from town to town and she found us a great guide in Manithos, with Tinos Outdoor Adventures. It was great to walk around with him because he spent his childhood in Tinos and returned to live there as an adult with three children. She also found a good taxi service to take us to some other towns and to drop us off and pick us up at a lovely beach. (We did not rent a car and we did not really need one.) Back to the hotel - the breakfasts were great--you can order from a long list of offerings. The rooms very nicely furnished and the views from all of the terraces are excellent. Each room has a hot tub, which is kept exceedingly clean and offers a nice respite after a day of walking or going to the beach. We were here three nights and there is still more to explore and so many taverns - each village has its own - to eat in. The restaurant at the hotel is very good and so is the tavern in the town square.
