Overlooking the bay, we have been served tea and cake and watermelons! And after a beautiful swim in the Pacific ocean and a refreshing shower in our luxury bathroom, Judy invited us for a delicious glas of Pinot gris and served us later a delicious salmon in spinach, cream and filo dought with a salad fresh from the garden! And... More

My partner and I stayed at Rangimarie Beachstay for a second time at Easter this year (2016), and once again it was superb. Judy is such a fine host, nothing was to much trouble, and the food was absolutely tops, the Puriri room we had was on the ground floor, with doors opening out onto the lawn area, no street... More

Judy is quite a character! I have never met someone of her age who is so energetic, so positive, for whom nothing is a problem. I can only say BRAVO! We only spent one night at Rangimarie but thoroughly enjoyed it. This place was different from all B&B we stayed in; we felt we were the Robinson Crusoe of modern... More

This is a beautiful place in a magical setting. Anaura Bay a very special, undisturbed part of the East Coast, and Rangimarie Beachstay has all a person could want. What really sets this place apart is having Judy as the host. We had a bit of a rough trip traveling here, due to some setbacks, and her warmth, delicious food, and... More

The Rangimarie house overlooking the sweep of Anaura Bay has all you could wish for in terms of views, location, and amenities. But what puts this B&B at the top of our 'must visit again soon' list is Judy's warm welcome, gracious hospitality and delicious food. We stayed in the elegantly decorated Kawakawa suite, and felt as though we were... More

We had one night in the Puriri Room at Rangimarie Beachstay. From start to finish our experience was fantastic. Not only was the accommodation top notch, but Judy is an absolute treasure. We arrived and it was like we had met an old friend. We immediately felt at home. The views and surroundings at Rangimarie are stunning. There are steps... More

This is a secluded wonderful piece of New Zealand overlooking a lovely beach. We spent a night there using the two accommodations in the house. The apartment on the top floor was roomy with fantastic views over the beach. The downstairs room is pretty small with the the bathroom and toilet out through a common area. We had an evening... Located about one hour drive north of Gisborne, off SH 35, easy to find with the exact information provided by our very pleasant, well traveled and informative hostess Judy. This is a homestay in a well-seasoned cottage and since we were the only guest on this day, Judy graciously upgraded us to the fantastic upstairs suite with the comfortable living... More

Judy who runs the place is warm and welcoming. We were pleased to arrive after a long drive around the East Cape. The food is amazing. We organised to have dinner upstairs in our room, and it was better than a restaurant. The views from our suite were spectacular, and we loved the beach.

The last time we travelled up this coast was 40 plus years ago, and we camped then right on Anaura Bay beach in a pup tent under a huge pohutukawa. Rather more comfort this time in this truly outstanding b and b. Lovely room with fabulous beach view, warm hostess, and dinner and breakfast that surpassed expectations. We so wish... More
