We stayed at Cala Sant Vicenc hotel for nine nights in October and it was wonderful. As arranged with the hotel, a car collected us from Palma airport and this set the tone for a friendly, well organised, professional and enjoyable holiday. We had a junior suite on the third floor overlooking the pool. The room was large and included not only a superking and super-comfortable bed, but also two wardrobes, desk, easy chair and sofa. A good-sized balcony had chairs and a table and was great for enjoying an evening glass of wine and a good book. Breakfast each morning had loads of choice: cereals, seeds and fruits; cheeses, serrano ham and tomatoes; cooked eggs, bacon, sausage and mushrooms; and finally – fresh pastries and very good coffee. We found the restaurant at the hotel a bit lacking in atmosphere, but we had our evening meals there on three occasions, all of which were excellent. There were also good bars and restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel. The staff at the hotel made our stay especially enjoyable – reception staff, restaurant staff, housekeeping staff and bar staff. We would love to return!…
Our third visit and just about to book for next year. Very comfortable hotel with excellent and friendly staff. Very good breakfast - we liked that after a couple of days our tea with lemon arrived at the table without asking. Only letdown was that ensaimadas never appeared with the pastries though if you managed to get churros straight from the kitchen they were amazing! Pool is lovely - never a problem with sun beds any time of day when we were there BUT they need bigger cushions- the beds are solid wood and rather hard! Lovely setting by the pool for all meals - food good and house wine very acceptable and reasonably priced. We ate out at least once a day - booking for dinner was essential in early September even in more casual places. Everywhere was good- several meals at Windsurf and marinas, dinner at Modesto (twice) which has a very good grill in a lovely courtyard setting and Cala Barques overlooking the beach for fish - hotel had booked this for us before we arrived and we had the prime table looking out over the water to the sunset. Excellent pizzas 30 yards from hotel at Poli and it’s now open at lunch too. A lot of repeat guests - quite a few folk we met last year were there again which was nice. Quite sociable round the pool if you like a chat!…
This is our second visit and we were not disappointed. Excellent room (junior suite) excellent buffet breakfast, friendly and very helpful team of staff, good facilities, pool temperature on the cool side, quiet (no children while we were there). Two very mild criticisms, kettle provided but no milk/ coffee not restocked. We simply bought milk and a jar of coffee at the local spar. Secondly, the dinner menu was too limited. However as there are lots of restaurants and cafes etc nearby this is not a problem. The hotel is on the bus route to Pollenca and Puerto pollenca. They are closed from end of October through to March. Best to visit in May or late September when the town is not too busy.
This is a special place. The service is first class, friendly, warm and welcoming. The hotel Is beautifully kept, food is lovely, pool is fabulous and overall I’d say this hotel will remain as one of our all time favourites. Thank you to all The team - you act like a real team and it makes such a difference. 🤩
Fabulous hotel. Excellent staff. Fabulous breakfast. Great spacious room. Super lunch and dinner menus. Only criticism is that there are not enough sun beds for the number of guests. Had to wait over an hour for one today and had to leave husband in the bar ( he didn’t complain). Saw 5 other people pick up pool towels and put them back as there was nowhere to sit.
41 years ago, my then fiancee and I came here on holiday, having saved up over the preceding 12 months. We had a great time and stored away many great memories. It was therefore with some trepidation that my wife and I returned, along with our 18 year old daughter. We need not have worried. From the moment we arrived, greeted gracefully by reception and supplied with glasses of water by whom we now know to be Antonio, we relaxed. Soon, we were by the pool, booked in for Dinner, and enjoying the silence, and the quiet company of the other guests, and well looked after by the staff. This could be the longest Review of my TA contributions, but in the pursuit of brevity, I'll be brief. The hotel is very well appointed, convenient yet quiet location, the food excellent, the service fantastic, the pool amazing, the rooms comfortable and very clean, and the setting superb. But the staff made it. Antonio, Marta, Carolina, Dace, and the rest just nailed it for the whole week. Add this to the whole CSV experience, and we had a wonderful holiday. They even arranged with the chefs to craete a meat only Paella for us on our last night...(18 year old doesn't like seafood!). We will not be waiting another 41 years before we return...…
We have stayed here before but under a recent change of ownership it has really raised it's game. On arrival we were fortunate to receive a room upgrade to a Junior suite. Andreu escorted us to wonderful room with balcony overlooking the pool. Fruit, complimentary wine and water on arrival. The water was replenished daily. Very comfortable double bed ; bathroom had all the lotions and potions you could wish for. The rooms are maintained spotlessly clean and refreshed daily. Breakfast is served at the pool area under the ever watchful eye of Pili. The choices were vast including a cooked to order breakfast. Each day there is a new dinner menu exclusively for guests. Antonio engages with all the guests in a very friendly manner and is a great source of local Intel. Marta and Mylvia serve with a smile. The paella was particularly good and beautifully presented. All areas of the hotel are maintained to a high standard. The pool area has plenty of sunbeds with complimentary towels. Twice daily complimentary sorbet is served which is a touch of difference. Overall we had a very positive experience; if you want to recharge the batteries Hotel Cala ticks the box. Look forward to returning SOON.…
Just returned from a 4 night stay, our 2nd visit to this lovely Hotel. It didn’t disappoint, I firmly believe it is the staff who can make or break your holiday, the ladies and gentlemen here are lovely and couldn’t be more helpful. On arrival we were greeted as if long lost friends. The Hotel gets it just right, no one rushing to reserve beds by the pool, just a relaxed breakfast which is plentiful and varied. The rooms are large and balconies a decent size to sip a beer at the end of the day as the sun goes down. My only slight gripe was that a lot of the weights have disappeared from the gym, I couldn’t be bothered anyway 😂. See you again soon I hope.
Just a wonderful stay. Check in at 2am after a long day was fast and friendly. My room (404) was as outlined in the website. Spotlessly clean (Clarins products in the bathroom) and in close proximity to both the pool and the restaurant where I had breakfast and dinner for my entire stay. I can’t speak highly enough of the staff that I met - Marta, Antonio, Andru, Pili and all the breakfast team. Breakfast had lots of choice and was of top quality. Dinner by the pool - I just can’t recommend enough. Good choice within the menu, excellent house wine and not forgetting the mojitos. I ventured out of the hotel just once when I caught local bus to Pollenca … lovely to wander around the streets…. Stop for tapas and take it all in. The resort itself is low-key but for me the Hotel was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The rooms are clean…decor isn’t the most modern I admit but the team and their can do attitude makes it a place where you feel welcome and pampered! Nothing you ask is too much trouble. For the 2nd part of my trip I stayed at a 5 star just outside Palma at almost twice the price per night and I can honestly say it came nowhere near this hotel - the management team of the 5 star could really visit Hotel Cala san vicenc and learn what makes a great hotel. I am already looking forward to a return visit and the opportunity to eat dinner by the pool!…
Although I have reviewed this hotel before it deserves another review as it is truly wonderful. The service is second to none and the hotel offers truly five star accommodation. The highlight for us was eating each night on the terrace, something that we. had tried on our last visit and found so relaxing as well as of a very high standard that we decided to do a dinner bed and breakfast option this time and we were not disappointed. Sue on reception was very helpful and I would also like to mention Antonio, Marta, Pili, Jaume and Juan but I know there were other staff who also offered superlative service. We are due to return soon and can't wait!
