I stayed in this hotel in September. A quiet place in a quaint street, supposedly it used to be a ceramic factory. The rooms are clean and spacious. The food in this restaurant is tasty and well prepared.
It's a very good accommodation and the staff and service is friendly. A lot of good restaurants are in the nearby vicinity as well. As far as the pricing is concerned, i thought it was a good value for money considering not so many options around.

At the begining of December we decided to spend our business event in Hotel Majolika in Modra. The building of the hotel is a protected technical monument after reconstruction. Interior of the hotel is pretty nice but not corresponding with 4 stars. In my opinion hotel did not reach the quality of 4star rating. Example, double rooms are really small. On the other hand hotel offers quite atmosphere, pretty good wellness, proffesional stuff, quite good cuisine, conference rooms, etc. But still is something missing to be a 4star. We had private event in separate rooms with banquet. Food was delicious. We had also wine tasting prepared by local wine producer. Hotel bartender was really smart. He prepared a lot of quite good drinks. And he also showed us how to prepare some of mixed drinks from hotel menu. Waitress were kind but should be more professional regarding communication and servig the food. Bartender was tip top. Overall we were satisfied.
I recommend this place also for bigger groups, events, family parties etc.

Nice hotel in quiet town/village, we found the staff friendly and helpful with quite good english which was a bonus. Not far from Bratislava, it is a nice place to get away from it all and just do nothing. There are some good local bars and restaurants in the area and the food in house was not bad either. There are facilities for kids to keep them occupied whle you relax with an in house massage or lie by the pool.

This is a very well presented hotel run by amateur/inexperienced staff. Everything went wrong from start to finish. We were shown an apartment and told it was a double, then there was a charge to use the swimming pool which we weren't told about at check-in, then the swimming pool was locked, then locker keys were delivered AFTER we'd got in the pool, then they said our friends' room (the apartment we had been shown) was double booked so they were moved to a double (the hotel was empty), then the locker keys were retrieved from my room while we were out later (couldn't they wait?)
The rooms come complete with a book of rules and penalties, there's a message with the water "Enjoy your stay.....that'll be 2 euros" ... was that for the water or the greeting? who knows... after reading the rules I'm not sure. No air conditioning. The breakfast met with expectation but we were definitely the only guests in the hotel.

Charming hotel with beautiful and quiet courtyard where is also small lake with fish and turtles (kids could feed them)! Staff was professional and helpful, so we were feeling really well. I recommend you to visit their Wellness, it´s the right place where to relax after a long day, and for kids there were trampoline, table football, billiard… And I really appreciate free parking places around hotel.

Very nice hotel in the centre of Modra. Helpful staff with excellent service. Great location with easy access to everything, and yet no disturbing noises from traffic or the street. The interior was modern with an elegant and rustic feel. Spacious rooms. Great breakfast with a variety of choices. I will return to this hotel on my next trip to Modra.

Second time at this hotel and it was the last time for sure. We have booked the apartment as the regular rooms or suites are just awful (as we have learned from our first stay few years back when the services were far from professional as well).
1st issue: We were accommodated in the suite, despite the fact we have booked the apartment for 142 Euro / night which more than price for a five star hotel where were arrived from in the city of Bratislava. After careful confirmation of the facts (as the booking was made back in September when we were planning out trip) I have contacted reception and advised them that I think there was a miscommunication with our room and we were given suite room instead of the apartment as the pictures from booking.com aren't reflecting what we have been given and we are also missing a kitchen. The lady at the reception (she would have to become professional if she wants to be addressed as receptionist) advised us that room assigned in fact is the "apartment". We have insisted to be relocated to the room which was used for the photos on booking.com. After much discussion we have been relocated to “bridal” apartment which was better, however still missing a kitchen which was advertised on booking.com. “Receptionist” bluntly claimed that she does not see any difference between the rooms provided and still claiming that the room we have been originally placed in was the “apartment”. The difference between the standards of the rooms was significant.
2nd issue: we have returned to the hotel after a busy day around 10pm and found the “bridal” apartment was not cleaned at all. Didn’t go down to the reception that night as we were tired of arguing and didn’t see anyone there on the way up (despite the fact they offer 24 hour reception on booking.com). We have complained about this in the morning, lady at the reception claimed that the room was cleaned by her colleague previous day which was another lie as not even bed was made up. I can only presume the change of rooms where not communicated to the house keeping staff, which is another example of unprofessionalism. To add insult to injury, they charged us 142 Euro / night! I have offered to settle the dispute regarding false advertising and lack of basic services (such as cleaning!!) with offering to pay 89 Euro / night which was declined. Therefore I’ll be also raising a formal complaint with the management and other parties involved.
Summary of issues / misleading information on booking.com website (I understand the hotel is responsible for these, not booking.com as per the terms and conditions on booking.com website): - Hotel is advertised as four star on booking.com and other websites, in fact the hotel has three star rating and is providing services equivalent to two star - Apartments are advertised with kitchen (there is no kitchen) - WiFi is NOT available in all areas (it’s not like there is weak signal, it’s just not there at all. And they are aware of this at the reception as they provide you with the Ethernet cable on arrival) - There is NO room service - There is NO breakfast in the room - There is NO city view (unless you consider looking at dirty communist built block of council housing “a view”)

The first time we went by car to Bulgaria we stopped somewhere half the way at a nice and cosy hotel in Slovakia called Hotel Majolka. We arrived at 21:00, booked a room within a couple of minutes and went straight to the restaurant for a nice cold beer and some food. I took some kind of fish with potatoes and salad. which was delicious. My fellow travellers enjoyed their food as well, and the prices are still Eastern-European! The room comes with free wifi, airco and a huge balcony which you share with other rooms. The price for a double room is 50 Euro, a Trippel 75 etc. Breakfast costs 5 Euro a person and is very good as well. This may will be the 5th stay at this hotel and we will definately be comming here every time we drive to Bulgaria!

We stayed for two nights. The management was not interested in listening to our complaints about the quality of the rooms' facilities - for example, lack of a fan during summer, no jug for tea making. We had to leave the windows open in order to get some air. However, we were inundated with mosquitoes and the noise from the flats on the opposite side of the road made an uncomfortable two night's stay. We paid for 1 week but got no refund. Read the fine print on the website very carefully.
