We had the most amazing experience at Ulgalla.. ❤️ From the moment we entered to the property we felt like home. All the stuff very well trained, humble, attentive and extremely friendly. Should specially mention the buggy drivers they’re an asset to your company. Nipuna and Prabath were the best out of best.. So glad we got to stay at Uga Ulagalla! 😍

The best stay we had during our honeymoon in Sri Lanka! The villa was very large and luxurious. The food was really great and the staff very friendly. They even surprise us with a diner at the pool :-)

After two hard weeks dealing with some difficult things, Uga Ulagalla was the balm and tonic we needed. My sister and I, and our two husbands, booked two of the deluxe villas for a much needed recharge. It far exceeded our expectations. Beautifully designed and decorated villas with an amazing attention to detail. A relaxing lap pool for.each villa, lush planting that gives privacy and a superb level of housekeeping throughout. Then there's the food. The restaurant, room service and the magical, open air Kamatha set in the middle of paddy fields, shaded by Kumbuk trees and hung with woven lampshade globes of grasses. Serving beautifully prepared traditional and international dishes. The restaurants run smoothly from the Manager to the kitchen staff. They are attentive and eager to .are the food and the experience of the highest standard. You can even have rhe experience of cooking over open fires in clay pots, plucking what you will prepare from the organic kitchen gardens. Everything about Uga Ulagulla shouts luxury with a caring hand and a love of the natural world. All of the experience is top notch, and the .let outstanding is the warmth, care and attention of all the staff. A testament to the management team and to themselves.

We started our trip to Sri Lanka with a 4 night stay at Ulagalla and wow we were so impressed. From arrival we were welcomed so warmly, from cold towels and the welcoming ritual was such a nice touch. We were then taken to our villa by buggy. The buggy service team were so helpful and kind. Our villa was amazing. The best we have ever stayed in. We had a plunge pool, the rooms were huge and the beds so comfortable. The food was incredible and had such an amazing choice and was delicious. We did horse riding and kayaking and the guides made sure that it was the best experience for us. Everyone was so informative and friendly. We were very sad to leave. The staff made sure that we had the best time. Thank you 😊

This eco lodge set on 58 acres is very well designed with private villas privately spread amongst the surrounding rice paddy fields. They also have a nature research center that engages with the local community to create harmony with the villagers and animals. Delicious meals and the well trained staff that is synonymous with the Uga brand. Relax in the privacy of your villa amongst the fresh air while surrounded by wildlife and take your complimentary bicycles around the property to find your own hidden and secluded oasis.

Stayed there for two nights with my wife and my 10months old son and enjoyed every bit of it. The checking process was really smooth and they gave us a detailed introduction to the property and the activities. The villa was really nice, clean, calm and relaxing. Lot of animals and birds were around the villa and we experienced a total getaway from our busy life style. The private pool was also clean and nice and my little one enjoyed it a lot. The food was delicious. The mutton curry(spicy warning), crispy calamari, waffles, homemade butter and ice cream are must-try items in their menu. They provide in-room dining as well but I prefer the restaurant since the variations in the in-room menu were limited(something for the management to check). In addition to this, they also prepared food for my baby upon our request. The restaurant team followed our specific instructions and prepared the food as we expected. Ulagalla’s differentiating factor form most of the hotels in Srilanka is the staff. They were friendly, helpful and well coordinated. It’s not just the customer facing staff, all the members including cleaning, gardening, restaurant, farming, security, etc worked as a single team. They all were so genuine and had the right attitude. Kudos to the management for creating this team. I should specifically mention Mr. Thisal Karunaratne, front office supervisor who helped us throughout our stay. Finally, thanks team Ulagalla for making our experience a memorable one..!!

Stayed for 2 nights, but wish we had stayed longer. From the moment we arrived we were treated to a unique welcoming ritual. The setting of the lodges were stunning. The staff made you feel special and went out of their way to be helpful and friendly. The food was outstanding, Michelin quality. We used the spa, and the setting was so tranquil and treatments were so calming. Did a pre breakfast canoe on the lake with Kalahiri, she was very knowledgeable and funny. The pool was set in stunning scenery, plenty of towels and a clean spacious changing room. The staff offer to bring you drinks out to the poolside. It was our 30th wedding anniversary and the chef made us a beautiful cake and our room was decorated, a lovely touch. I would definitely return to this piece of paradise. So much to see and do and yet so relaxing. A real gem in a beautiful country.

What can I say, from the second we got greeted at the airport to the day we left we were treated like royalty & couldn't have asked for any more! Our tour guide, the staff & locals were all beyond welcoming. We literally could not have had a better start to our honeymoon and we will 100% be back.

If you want to relax from your busy schedule this is the number one recommended place for you. I must say the staff was really kind and friendly from the beginning to the end of our stay. The food was amazing and perfectly served. Villa we stayed in was super clean and spacious. We had our own privacy at the villa surrounded by a calm and quiet environment. I would recommend this place to anyone without any hesitation.
