Stayed here for 6 nights on our honeymoon. Below is a list of goods and bads.... don't get me wrong it's a nice hotel however for the price and the stars I think some key elements need improving! The rooms did feel a little tired and in need of some love - the blinds are not in a good state... More

What a great place to holiday, so relaxing and tranquil. Really well laid out eco-resort, with fantastic pool and spa. Great proximity to Sri Lanka's ancient wonders. Really good service from the fantastic staff.

We spent our anniversary at Ulagalla and I must say it's worth every penny you spent and I would say, it's the BEST out of ALL hotel stays in SL for me. Great, friendly staff who were polite and, absolutely exceeding expectations. They've got the BEST staff I've found in a hotel so far. Awesome surroundings and facilities. Superior quality... More

We arrived at Ulagalla Resort after 7 days aboard a new (and extremely disappointing) boat taking us to swim with whales. We were apprehensive, as this part of our trip had been organized by the same people. But, the resort is a shining star! The rooms are huge ... with private dip pools. The staff worked very hard to ensure... More

I almost never write reviews but for Ulagalla I will make an exception :) It was such a lovely experience I was actually sad leaving the resort when just before I arrived to Ulagalla I was dreading our trip in Sri Lanka due to the previous hotels, but Ulagalla managed to change my perception of Sri Lanka so thank you... This resort has everything you would want in a luxury hotel. To the spacious villas with private plunge pools to the wonderful staff, especially the managers-Francisco and Vijey. The Ulagalla was an amazing experience-especially horseback riding in the jungle with a very knowledgeable instructor. The stables and horses were in better condition than any other horseback riding facility I've visited.... More

It's hard to nail one specific detail about Ulagalla. My favourite memory would definitely have to be one early morning breakfast on the terrace watching a muster of peacocks parading around the pool. Stunning!

Beautiful grounds and property… located off the beaten path surrounded by authentic village life, manmade reservoirs and jungle, so one should expect all sorts of wildlife. Try the sunset martinis, cooking class or the BBQ at the center part of the resort… all beautiful experiences. The team is eager to please and assist and the food is great, with a... More

My husband and I stayed at Ulagalla as the first stop on our honeymoon. We had such a lovely time that we were sad to move on! Ulagalla is well positioned for exploring the Cultural Triangle and visiting sites like Sigiriya, Anuradhapura, Dambulla, Wilpattu, and Minneriya. But, once you arrive at the beautiful 55-acre property, you probably won't want to... More

Spacious rooms with separate bed and living areas. Nice blend in with nature and lot of opportunities for capturing nice wildlife photos if... More
