My daughter and I stayed for a couple of nights during our travels around India in January and had an absolute blast at The Village Guesthouse. The owners Janet and Goran are just fantastic - massive fun and very kind and attentive. Our room / bathroom was lovely and the guesthouse is just a short, five minute walk to all...

Well there is Goran, Janet, (big boss) and Yogi. Plus the lovely cleaning staff of course. If you like socialising with alcohol Yogi's cocktails are great. Add Janet and Goran into the mix with the variety of friends and former guests that pop in you are in for some fun. Goran's humour is unique and an acquired taste 😀. Honest...

I arrived at the Guest House in Goa as a solo female traveller. I loved this place & really didn't want to leave but they were fully booked & had no choice. It is ideally situated, close to all amenities & the beach. The accommodation is quiet, relaxed & v clean & the hosts could not have been more welcoming...

I can’t recommend this place enough. The rooms are large and spacious – especially the showers – and very clean. The owners, Janet and Goran, are the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve met – they really go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. He even gets up at 5am every morning to make fresh bread for...

I stayed here in March for 5 nights after a 11 day your for Holi, which was full on and lots of moving around and early morning starts was looking for some R&R. My friend that I was with Vicki had stayed a couple of years before and whilst I was adamant that I wanted to stay on the beach...

We have returned to the Village Guesthouse several times and will be back again next season. What we love is the luxurious comfort of the place, which is not always easy in India. But Janet and Goran work hard to maintain their level of service. The rooms are huge, immaculate and quite sumptuous. We enjoy reading the local papers and...

I stayed at The Village Guest House for a week in February and had a great time. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff friendly and the atmosphere is very convivial. Best of all perhaps is the barman Yogi whose cocktails will set you up nicely for a night out in Palolem or nearby Patnem. All in all a...

Stayed a week in this beautiful guest house and wish it could have been longer! Our room was large with canopied bed and a fantastic huge wet room shower en suite. Very comfortable and esthetically pleasing. Breakfast was served in a gorgeous courtyard and any request out of the ordinary was collected and delivered by the owners, for whom nothing...

I love Palolem, partly because of this gem. I visited for my second time recently and it really is a little piece of luxury very close to the gorgeous beach. The hosts are amazing and very welcoming...somewhat eccentric but in a good way for us. We were taught to moped, shown and taken to a local restaurant and talked all...

Village Guesthouse is lovely - nice clean rooms, all en suite. It's only 5 mins walk from the beach and main street in Palolem. Was with a friend who had been to stay 5 years previously and had raved about it - the praise was well deserved! I will definitely go back. Janet and Goran were great hosts. Was lovely...
