Stayed here for a weekend recently which was very enjoyable. The room was clean and tidy, the bar had a good selection of beers and the locals were friendly. The food was of a good standard and was always served hot. My only complaint was that one of the cleaners told my girlfriend off for letting the cat in, which apparently was not allowed. This was a little confusing, as on two nights of our stay the cat had its own chair in the bar which had been turned to face the fire so that it could warm itself! I would respectfully suggest that your staff learn how to talk to customers, after all we are helping to keep you in a job! All in all I would have no problems in recommending the Nevill Arms Inn.

I'm sorry you felt you were 'told off', our Housekeeper was trying to retain some balance, we (our staff & regulars) loved 'Gupta' and were happy for him to be in the bar by the fire, yet we would try to restrict him from any passages / stairwells leading to the bedrooms. Notwithstanding, we've now 're-homed' Gupta as we received too may objections from customers about the presence of a cat in the Inn, so no more confusion. Sincerely Mark Kempe ps - He wasn't even our cat!

Ate here this afternoon with my Wife and Mum and Dad. Manuel was extremely accommodating, agreeing to serve us all lunch despite being right at the end of service, 2.30pm. Our black labrador dog was welcome too. Lunch was 2 risotto, a beef and a lamb. All very much enjoyed our meals. Thank you

The girlfriend and I try to come the this pub as much as we can. The locals are very welcoming and the staff are fantastic. Great to sit out by the river in the Summer and cosy to sit by the log burner in the Winter.

We had the full English with a pot of tea. Wow, it was superb and reasonably priced for the quality. It was cooked to perfection and there is plenty of seating inside and in the courtyard. The staff are friendly and the service was quick. We will definitely be returning in the future!
