We stayed at Knockderry from 9 to 11th September for our friends wedding. We stayed in room number 2 and ut is an exceptional room. The Hotel is fabulous and the staff are both friendly and helpful. The wedding went down great. No comments about the organisation other than excellent. Food was exceptional answer all wedding guests were greatly impressed.... More

I had discovered this hotel on a business trip and found it to be not only aesthetically charming, but the standard of service was extremely high. So I decided to return for a short break with my wife and I wasn't disappointed. The hospitality of the staff and the standard of service and cuisine is exceptional along with the quality... More

This hotel is situated in a breathtaking area with views to die for. The room we stayed in was large and very comfortable but the food and dog friendliness disappointed. As is often the case, hotels say they are dog friendly when really they are dog tolerant. Yes, they provided a treat and a blanket but when we anted to... More

We arrived at Knockderry in an open top car, in pouring rain. Soaked to the skin, we found open fires and a warm welcome. Our room was fine, the bathroom a bit disappointing. Dinner was excellent. Unusual flavours and a lot of trouble evidently taken. Sadly no room for dessert. Breakfast the next day was spot on. My only issue... More

I didn't stay at the hotel but was lucky enough to be invited to a Friday night pre- wedding party and the wedding day/evening on Saturday 10/9. It was a delight. Such a comfortable and luxurious ambience from the log fires to the lighting. The staff were professional and attentive. The food generous and delicious with the highlight being the... More

Our stay was highlighted by the friendly staff. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable even though we were only there one night. It began by being greeted and then seated in the living room with a nice fire. We had all of our needs met. The room was comfortable and clean. Dinner was fabulous. We had... More

We came here to attend the Loch Lomond Food Festival and needed a dog-friendly hotel nearby as we were travelling with our two small terriers. Knockderry House seemed to fit our needs, and it met our expectations ... Imposing building, pleasant grounds, great views over the River Clyde estuary and set on the water's edge amidst other large stately homes.... More

Spent a night at Knockderry having previously visited in April and wasn't disappointed. Once again the staff were very polite and friendly. Went for the early evening menu where you get a fantastic quality meal for a very reasonable price. The wine menu is extensive. Rooms are clean and beautifully fitted out. Breakfast sees the same quality of food and... More
