Fantastic! The sign at the check states, '2021 Best of the Best' and it 100% lived up to that. We stayed in the ocean room with a main floor and upper roof deck that has the jacuzzi. This was so much fun as we used the jacuzzi every night and it is a wonderful place to turn off the lights and stargaze. The property is immaculate with the capacity to hold only a small amount of guest, which makes it feel like you have the place to yourself. The check in and service was so easy and provide you with a WhatsApp number to text for anything you want or need. We did use this option and they are very quick to respond and provide you what you ordered. The rooms are so nice and cleaned twice a day. They provide you water in the room and a place to fill up in the lobby. The breakfast was included and you have the option of two restaurants onsite, both were fantastic on food, drinks, and service. The hotel is very secure, only allowing for hotel guest. They provide you with your own daybed on the beach it the hotel is located next to great restaurants, day clubs, and activities. The spa and gym onsite were very nice with the usual workout equipment and sauna, steam, and cold plunge which were a game changer after a night out in Tulum. Oh ya, yoga is also included every morning and they provide you a yoga mat. The yoga studio is very nice and the yoga class was great. We highly recommend this place and would stay here again 100%

Stayed at The Beach Tulum for a quick getaway. The hotel itself was very clean (followed all Covid-19 guidelines) and they offered hand sanitizer everywhere we went. Had their complimentary breakfast every morning (would recommend Ziggy's for their view and the food was delicious). We got the Junior Suite with plunge pool, with a walkway onto the beach with provided beach beds assigned to your room. They had security patrolling so you can leave your items on your beach bed without too much worry (still wouldn't leave valuables in sight as it's still an public beach where anyone can walk by).
The location of hotel was perfect walking distance to the popular beach clubs (Taboo) and bars (Gitano) or restaurants (Rosa Negra) in and around Tulum (fyi it is located on the main narrow road which can experience traffic during the afternoon and dinnertime when other tourists are coming in and leaving and the current construction. They provided bikes if you feel like exploring around town.
Overall, wonderful stay with friendly staff. Would definitely recommend staying here if you're looking for a place to stay, whether it be for couples or friends!

I rarely write reviews, so apologies that this one is so delayed! We stayed at The Beach back in January, for the first 8 nights of our honeymoon. We woke up on our first morning, New Years Eve to the sound of crashing waves right outside our room, and the sun rising at the end of our bed. Stepped outside onto the soft white sand and watched the sun rise. It was the perfect way to end a special year.
The beach front room with plunge pool was stunning. You are literally ON the beach, on which you have your own reserved double sunbed for the whole stay. The room was really spacious, bed was amazing, 2 person bath, coffee maker with the best fresh M exican coffee every morning, house keeping were so attentive every day. The staff knew it was our honeymoon, so when we arrived the room was decorated beautifully with roses, a lovely card, and a bottle of fizz on ice! So sweet and thoughtful.
The Location was spot on. Right in the middle of all the action. Easy to get to all the restaurants, shops and bars in the beach area either by foot or the free bikes you can use at the hotel.
We walked the length of tulum beach several times and always felt certain we'd chosen the best hotel! This area of Mexico gets quite bad seaweed build up on the sand. However at The Beach you would never know, as the staff clean it up at sunrise every day (something that most of the other hotels do not do - even the ridiculously expensive ones). Also there is 24/7 security patrolling the hotels section of the beach. We always felt safe
Breakfast was incredible. Choice of 2 restaurant menus, and can order whatever you like, and as much as you like! They are both really amazing restaurants too, which we would have gone to even if we weren't staying here.
The best thing about the hotel has to be the service. One of the most friendly hotel teams we have ever met. They were so helpful and attentive. Arranged all our taxis, reservations, excursions etc. They made our honeymoon so special and memorable, for which we are sooo grateful. They started a whatsapp chat with us prior to arrival, which is how we arranged our airport transfer. You can then use this throughout your trip for room service or any other requests. We loved this! Probably used it way too much and drove the staff mad, but you would never know as they were always more than happy to help.
Everything about this place was PERFECT for us. We're so thankful to have had this special time in Tulum before lockdown, and will definitely be returning to The Beach as soon as we can :) Beth & Dan

If you are thinking about booking this hotel, do it! It was the best hotel I have ever experienced. It was impeccably clean, and the decor was beautiful and high quality. Nothing felt cheaply made; they take no shortcuts. Everything feels luxurious. We stayed in one of the rooftop rooms, which we felt was perfect because of the privacy and because we loved stargazing from the rooftop and relaxing in the hot tub at night. This was my first time in Tulum, but after walking up and down the beach I have concluded that The Beach Tulum sits on one of the nicest beachfronts. The short itself is a perfect shape and there are beautiful palm trees providing natural shade on the beach beds. Another thing I loved was that this isn't a party hotel. Much of the beach strip in Tulum has crowded hotels with club music playing all day. This hotel offered actual paradise and respite. There are benefits to the location of this hotel relative to the rest of Tulum - you can walk to most of the highly recommended restaurants in Tulum, and there's lots of shopping nearby. Lastly, the best part about this place is the SERVICE. It was AMAZING. Everyone was kind and attentive. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and like the staff was truly happy to have us. I liked being able to use Whatsapp to communicate with room service and the front desk. Also, we ordered food from Ziggy's for almost every meal and it was delicious. Creative, inspired dishes - a little fancy for my usual tastes, but perfect for this vacation. I say book this place - don't even think twice.

We had an absolutely amazing time for our honeymoon here at The Beach Tulum. The customer service was our favorite part- this really feels like a luxury hotel. They really go above and beyond here. We booked a 2 story room with the tub on the roof. The rooms are kept immaculate and the turn down service at night really makes it feel cozy and romantic. On arrival we also had a bottle of sparkling wine and rose petals waiting for us! It rained most of the time we were there but we were able to use our personal beach bed once and hung out at the pool for a few hours. The resort kept up with the seaweed problem very well and they were always working to keep the hotel clean after the rain. The included breakfast at Ziggys was amazing too! They also have included breakfast at Frescas but we ate at Ziggys every morning since we loved it so much- they also delivered it to our room one morning when it was pouring so hard we didn't want to leave the room. The told us the wifi might not be the best but we had no issues with it and were able to download books to our iPads. My husband and I travel for fun quite a bit throughout the year and this has honestly been our favorite hotel we've stayed at. We couldn't get over how amazing our room was and how beautiful the hotel is. But what really sets them apart is the customer service! We loved that they had texting service available for the concierge and room service too. I wish every hotel did that! We cannot wait to go back!!

So to start, there is too much to say about this hotel experience and not enough space to write everything, so I will sum up here best I can what we loved about this place:
1.) Our original booking was in March 2020, right when COVID hit hard here in the states and everything shut down. We reached out to see if we could switch dates and they were very accommodating. We finally made it a year later and so glad we did. 2.) All the concierge staff that we corresponded with via email and while we were on property were responsive, professional and kind. 3.) Drinks & food on property was delish and very high quality. You could order whatever you wanted via WhatsApp from your beach bed, your room or even on the way back from being out. Your only worry is which cocktail to order because there are so many amazing ones to choose from. 4.) Two words: JUNIOR SUITE. Just splurge for it. Save up for a while. Do whatever you have to do to get into that suite. We did the beach-level suite and you had your own beach bed, plunge pool and pool bed. Heaven. 5.) Place was immaculate and I felt comfortable bathing in their gorgeous soaking tub. Housekeeping requests can be done by WhatsApp and well and super fast and responsive. 6.) Free yoga every morning where you feel like you’re the king of the jungle (see pic). 7.) Couples detox treatment at the spa was excellent and so relaxing. Eli and Noelin were our therapists and they were both amazing. The 1-hour use of the plunge pools, sauna and steam rooms were also a great way to start the relaxation process. The receptionist (sorry, forgot to write her name down!) was also very pleasant and made sure we felt taken care of and not rushed. 8.) Location was very central in the hotel zone and you can walk to all kinds of amazing restaurants. 9.) You don’t feel like just another number or guest there. You feel like they treat each guest like a friend. 10.) Overall, best hotel experience I’ve ever had and we can’t wait to go back.

We came to Tulum for a week during our honeymoon. Prior to booking, I made a spreadsheet comparing the most highly rated hotels in Tulum and settled on The Beach, as it had the most beautiful atmosphere (from photos) and amenities (e.g. yoga, daily breakfast, pool, beach bed). Throughout our week, we were consistently blown away by the staff’s attention to detail and desire to provide my husband and me the best experience. The staff is incredible — The ladies at the front desk gave us bug spray and ensures our hot tub was filled, while the cleaning crew even replaced the tea candles after burning them by the bath tub. When I stay at hotels in America during the pandemic, the staff is consistently lazy, blaming everything on “covid.” The staff here was quite the opposite.
Do not look any further for a hotel in Tulum — stay here. Walking up and down the beach, we found that a lot of hotels were very loud and trendy. Online they look cool, but in actuality, we could not imagine staying somewhere with an everyday party. The Beach was quiet, peaceful, and comfortable. Get the rooftop room with a hot tub! Loved watching the stars every night.

The staff is wonderful and so helpful. We had everything we needed and more. I booked this trip for my wife's birthday and wanted a different feel than a big resort and I was amazed, so beautiful. We love it here and was actually sad to have to leave. We used whatsapp to communicate with room service and the front desk and they always answered back quickly and made sure we were completely satisfied. The room had it's own private day bed right on the beach and staff would take our orders from both Fresco's and Ziggy's, which are connected to The Beach Tulum. Breakfast is included and you have a choice between Ziggy's or Fresco's as well. Many of the statues and the world know Jungle Gym is in walking distance so no need for a taxi. I took morning runs on the beach and walked with my wife after as well . Then I would take a dip in the private pool to cool off before laying out on the beautiful Tulum beach. Whether you want to relax or party this hotel is centrally located to everything so you get to choose. The hotel staff was so friendly and did not mind going above and beyond to make us happy. Forgive me for not knowing the names but the tall lighter skin gentleman at the bar was always super helpful and took care of us a few times. He's awesome. And everyone who took our orders while at our day bed or to bring us ice was always so prompt and happy to help. I wish I could name everyone one by one but just know the staff is wonderful. They made sure the room was clean always and for my wife's bday they decorated the room for her to make her feel special. The front desk staff kept everything running smoothly for the hotel and responded to all whatsapp messages and in person to any questions we had to keep us at peace. I could go on and one about this hotel but I'll end with saying I can't wait to go back. I'll pay a little more to feel like a king any day.

The Beach Tulum was the perfect location for me and my fiance to stay in after our proposal. It is a super intimate and private hotel along the shore, not to mention it has one of the most stunning views. We were helped with our luggage and received amazing drinks from the bar upon entering. It was a truly magical location and the staff went above and beyond from the moment we checked in. The rooms were super clean.
The staff arrived in minutes with any type of help we requested; they even helped coordinate our beach photo shoot with our photographer! Our junior suite included a day bed on the beach, a private hammock and a private heated pool which was the perfect addition. While we were out for dinner, the staff came in a decorated our room with rose petals and candles (a big thank you again!)
Small details that were greatly appreciated- his/her yoga mats & flip flops, outdoor shower before entering room from pool, foot-washing area before entering room from beach, candles, robes just to name a few. Ziggy's was also great with their food service.
I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to get a true experience of paradise!!!

We stayed at The Beach in mid-August, 2021. The entire experience was fantastic. As soon as we arrived, every effort was made to make us feel comfortable, relaxed, and at ease. When a minor hurricane hit the Yucatan during our stay, the staff accommodated a quick room change for one night that made us feel much safer during the storm. The staff was so calm and accommodating that it made the whole experience of a major national disaster a complete breeze. The primary room we stayed at opened directly on to the beach, which felt incredibly luxurious. Daily breakfasts delivered to the room were expertly prepared, full of fresh fruit and local flavors. The bar produced fantastic cocktails, and both restaurants were both delicious and competitively priced. While Tulum has a range of amazing places to eat, you could spend the whole trip at The Beach and still have a fantastic culinary experience.
Finally, on COVID safety: virtually the entire hotel is open air, including reception, the bar, restaurants, the pool area, yoga, etc. Staff are universally masked and conscientious about the virus. Testing for return to the US was accomplished at the hotel for a modest fee. We felt totally comfortable with the experience the entire time.

Hi. Yes. It was "out of the norm / unusual" in our opinion but apparently not unusual for Mexico. We opted to pay The Beach Tulum via PayPal with credit card. It all went smooth as silk. This hotel has the strictest no-nonsense payment requirements we have EVER encountered anywhere in the world. Pretty much NON-refundable PERIOD. It's a little intimidating; lol. It came recommended by friends who frequently stay there so we were advised of these things ahead of time and we were not concerned about it all. We also experienced this payment process for a private tour / transportation company we used while we were there. This hotel is lovely in every way... We were blown away and would LOVE to return someday.
"Get off site more, we found many places to eat and shop that were less expensive but still very good, Checkpoint pizzeria , and Mr Shmokey within 10 min down the resort."
