My wife and I enjoyed our 4 night stay at CoCo Zen Zone. It is tricky to find a reasonably priced hotel on the beach in Tulum these days but CoCo turned out to be great value. When we checked in Martha and Gibran were helpful and eager to make our experience a good one, so thank you to them and all the other hard working staff. The room itself was steps from the beach and it was nice to hear the wind and waves and sound of birds in the morning, very peaceful. The club next door plays loud music at times which is not CoCo's fault but be aware it may at times interfere with your Zen. The room was what I would describe "rustic chic", very simple but had the basics and was cleaned every day. For the most part the wifi worked very well, only one night we could not get it in our room. The AC was great and so were the breakfasts. We liked that you could walk 5 mins down the beach to their sister hotel coco Limited and use the pool because the seaweed is so bad at this time you couldn't swim to cool off. There are some good restaurants within walking distance, one recommended by the front staff called Kitchen Table turned out to be one of our favourites of the trip, so good a must try. Overall great stay, thanks CoCo!

My partner and I recently visited Tulum but booked an airbnb in the jungle, aprox 20 min from the beach. On our first day in Tulum we happened upon the Coco Beach club. We loved the vibe, service, location, friendly staff, drinks and food so much that we booked a night in a garden villa, we loved that experience so much that we booked a 2nd night.
The room was perfect, cozy, steps from the beach and the incredible sunrises. The ac worked amazing and the bed provided both of us restful sleeps. There is no tv but the wifi is sufficient to watch Netflix etc. should you want to. It was also my partner's birthday and i arranged with the front desk to have flowers for our arrival, they not only assisted with choosing and picking up a beautiful arrangement but had it waiting on time, the room smelled like a tropical drink!
The outdoor space was lovely, 2 big chairs and a hammock, a perfect spot for a glass of wine and a nap after a day on the beach.
Initially I was hesitant about the shared bathroom but found it was charming with its conch shell faucets and bamboo showers, it was always clean and restocked.
The location cant be beat, close to great dining, bars, convenience stores for alcohol, sunscreen, and snacks, and a private parking lot across the street. The room rate that we had also included breakfast, it was delicious but also saved us $40 cad daily.
While we initially booked the hotel because of the location and great beach club, we stayed because of the staff; From the attentive beach club staff to the front desk team, all were like friends by the time we left. One staff member offered to buy us a soft drink with his own money from the staff area when we found out that the hotel didnt have a vending machine. We were always greeted with a genuine smile, used our names, and always asked what they could do to make our stay even more enjoyable.
We have booked a return trip for March 2022 and can't wait to experience this little slice of paradise for a week!

Beautiful Eco Boutique Hotel.
Letā€™s start with check in: you walk into an open lobby let me tell you Mexico itā€™s more advanced in the Covid protocols the lobby has a small area with a sink for you to clean your hands before you walk to the front desk. The staff at the front desk are very friendly and ver nice. Elizabeth went above and beyond what we expected at check in. She explained what type of hotel this was Eco and explained the areas of the hotel beautifully. This eco hotel was like being in a jungle with a hint of Greece in it. Very cute!!!
The path are sand walkways to each room like walking between treehouse in the jungle. This hotel is seriously is a beautiful ego boutique hotel.

The room: rooms are built on the sand donā€™t worry it has cement floors. The room is roomy, the bed has a canopy around and plenty of pillows and very comfortable. It has 2 glass bottles of water that you can refill, the bathroom very room the toilet paper has a rosy scent to it and you have to put the dirty paper In The waste basket, no TV in the room, the AC works perfectly, the room have a small patio with 2 chairs with a table and a rack to hang clothes to dry. Rooms 1-3-20 have an amazing view because all doors are glass so you can enjoy the sunrise from your bed and enjoy the moon light at night. The sounds of the waves can put you to sleep or wake you up.
The beach: omg!! White sand, warm water and plenty of sun. Absolutely amazing!! Seaweed it depends what season you go you will find a lot of it or none at all. We were lucky this week was perfect.
The Juanita Viola restaurant at the hotel was very good. Breakfast was delicious and plenty of options so was dinner. The people here were also very friendly and very nice.

Be aware that they do maintenance so sometimes they shut if the power but most of the time you are out of your room and donā€™t even notice but you might run into that donā€™t worry it last maybe 2 hours.

This hotel was amazing my group of 6 love it!! Will recommend 100% we love it!!! Amazing place, amazing people!!

Stayed here for a full week January 2020, so got a good feel for everything here. First the good. The location is great, really nice spot on the beach. The place is very clean, Wifi is good around the grounds (though didn't work inside our room), the staff is nice and helpful, and you can walk to a lot of restaurants. However... for the price the shared bathrooms are defiantly not ideal. There is a club next door that 4 of our 7 nights blasted EDM music until 3:30 a.m. making it impossible to sleep until then. The hotel bar is unreasonably expensive,100 pesos (almost $6) for a bottle of Corona IN MEXICO!! You can go right next door to the beach bar / hut and get the same thing for 55 pesos (2 for 1, from 2 p.m. - 3 p.m.) There is no reason for the hotel bar to cost this much other than they try and price gouge you. There is no refrigerator in the room so you can't go to the store and keep anything cold. We ended up buying a cheap cooler and constantly buying bags of ice to store drinks in. (The hotel restaurant will give you a small bucket of ice as well.) Many different options in Tulum. Not sure i'd rush back to this one.

Coco Tulum was a lovely looking hotel with great access to the beach. The staff were very attentive and friendly, and the rooms are a great size for the price and compared to other hotels in the area. Our room had an outdoor spa which was lovely, however, we never really got to use it because the mosquitos would have eaten us alive if we went outside its no clothes on! ;-)

The food at the hotel was okay, nothing special, but I don't really stay at a hotel because of the quality of their food, especially with so many good food options in the area.

The only thing that really let this hotel down was the sound from a DJ playing across the road. This seem to go on from midnight to at least 3-4am and the bass from the music could clearly be heard despite wearing ear plugs. We thought we would just have to deal with it, being a Friday, and then Saturday, and Tulum does like to party, however, the music kept playing until the early hours on Sunday as well, which wasn't good, especially as this hotel is located away from the main party/bar/club area. I'm not sure what the hotel can do about this, but unfortunately we would not stay there again due to the noise, which is a shame because its generally a great hotel with great staff.

This resort was like staying in a treehouse in the sand on the beach. The room was just so cute!! Whoever built out the ascetics of the room really has a good eye. We had a little canopy thing over our bed that had a glass window / door for the entire side of the wall in front of it that looked into the jungle and our balcony. Our balcony had two chairs a small table and a hammock. I walked around barefoot everywhere as the resort is completely in the sand. It was cool to walk through all the treehouse structure in the sand to get to the beach. The beach had hammocks and lounge chairs. There are two sides to the beach, you can hang out on the one side that has the lounge chairs and relax or you can go over to the beach club to get food and drinks (although they will serve you on the other side if you want). The shared bathroom was just adorable!! The sinks were conch shells. It had a big straw hut roof and ceiling fans with some music going in the background. Showers and bathrooms are very nice. They had big bottles of shampoo and conditioner which was nice because I always use more than the little mini bottle of conditioner. Lastly, the AC was excellent. Just an overall great ambiance.

we really liked the place for being close to the beach, very rustic in the middle of nature, but we were very disappointed with the breakfast. Limited and ends up forcing you to pay for something different because you have few options. the shared bathrooms the doors do not close properly, making privacy very complicated.

I was supposed to stay here for 5 days, but upon arriving, I was ready to go. The staff was nice at the front desk concierge at first and then began to get frustrated with my concerns. It started SHARED bathrooms, which I thought my 2 rooms would share the bathroom however it is communal bathrooms. Next was having to put used toilet tissue in a woven plastic lined basket. To pay over $1k for 5 days and I have to put my used tissue covered in human waste in a b a basket is unsanitary. My biggest concern was our room key, it was a Phillips screwdriver with etching on it. Anyone with a screwdriver could have popped open our door. I travel all the time and if the hotel was more upfront about it amenities I would have stayed elsewhere. I stayed in developing areas at my choice because I knew ahead of time what to expect. This is why the hotel has a bo refund policy which is unethical if you don't disclose everything upfront. I work in the service industry and cannot believe how fast service changes when guests have concerns around being safe or unsanitary room conditions. Please do not stay here unless you know what you are signing up for. I will visit Tulum again but I will NEVER stay here.

To be honest, I had huge expetations for this place before I came here. It is ridiculous how much they try to charge from turists in here because they know they can. I just wanted to come to the beach club, because instagram made it look like it was an amazing place. Well... they said i have to pay 50 USA DOLLARS or 800 mexican pesos for ONE chair and then the prices in the restaurant were also very expensive. Tip is included in your bill and tip is waaaaay tooo much. Food looked pretty, wasnā€™t special + long waiting. This was just a huge dissapointment. I hope the other tourists will also realise how ridiculously much they try to charge you. This ks only because they know peple want to come here and take pretty pictures of this place. (Manu bloggers are here) For example in paradis beach, Tulum, one chair was only 100 pesos and the besch is as beautiful and this

Dear Aurora, We are sorry to read that we couln't met your expectations We would like to clarify that the 50 dollars you mention are not only to obtain a space on the beach, that amount works as a credit to use for food and drinks in our beach club. In case our external guests just want to have a drink, they can use our famous beachfront swings and enjoy the view This is done because, we are not only a Beach Club, but a hotel and we take care of the atmosphere to be quiet and exclusive for our guests. Hope this information has been helpful Kind regards Maria Suarez

Three of us girls were there for 5 days in February and we were thrilled with the hotel. To begin with, the whole front desk staff was so helpful, smooth check-in and they were always eager to attend to our needs. Isaac was especially great, making sure we were taken care of. The grounds are beautiful and our room was clean, modern and super comfortable. The staff of the beach/restaurant also made our trip even better. Mario is amazing, we don't have enough good things to say about how he took care of us. Our breakfasts were fresh, plentiful and tasty, always served with a smile. We appreciate the whole staff and we will most definitely return to this hotel. Thank you Coco Limited!!!!!!!!!
