We visited here 7 years ago and it was fantastic so decided to come again, unfortunately though we can now only say the hotel is average. We were in a superior sea view room that was good in size. However the pillows were awful, the handle of the kettle gave you 3rd degree burns if you dared touch it, the banging noise upstairs would keep you awake and when it was windy, which it was the door would whistle dixie! Fruit was left in the room which went mouldy and not removed, until we did. The min bar was replenished every other day, if you were lucky and unlike stated in the holiday brochure. The food in the buffet was the same day after day, beef in a sauce, chicken in a sauce, lamb in a sauce. On occasions the sauces were switched between meats for variety. Very little fish options available as well compared to our last visit. The whole buffet room feels like I've been transported back in time. It's very dated and needs desperate refurbishment. The sports is set in 1990 along with the last time it was decorated, worn and stained carpets can be found in various locations. Dirty worn wallpaper, wonky lights, a TV that has dark steaks in the screen giving the impression of looking at it through bars. There is a pool table which will cost you €2 per game. You need to go to the reception for a token, just hope they have change when you go! The Marco Polo bar is pleasant, especially the outside area. Staff are great but need further training. One prosecco and one gin and tonic ordered for the two of us and we end up with 3 gins and one bottle if tonic. The al la carte returant now consists of booking at the reception 24 hours in advance, being handed a pice of paper with a menu on and being asked to tell them what you want to eat the day before you eat there which is very poor, we have never known this at any all inclusive before. We go to the restaurant and get 4 courses presented to us in which can only be described as world record breaking time of 50 minutes, in no way a pleasant relaxing meal for 2! I would also avoid the cheseboard option. Stale soft biscuits, a 1cm square of blue cheese, the same with the brie and a white and red something with no taste, oh and lots of fruit to outnumber the cheese and to fill the plate, it was a first to have pineapple on a cheesboard I must say. The weather has not been kind, cloud and galeforce winds with the only shelter around the pool would ideally be in one of the cabannas, however even though we paid nearly £3000 all inclusive, to use one of these would be a further €40 per day. No guests were using them due to this ,so we made windbreaks from other sunbeds and their cushions, looked more like the scouts were camping around the pool. On Wednesday, they even decided to open the pool bar an hour later than usual, no reason, they just did. Perhaps customer service is less of thing on a Wednesday! All in all, very disappointed. Very good hotel, staff go all out to ensure you have the best experience. They love their jobs! The sun down drinks invite a must to go to. Spa really good had massage by Martina excellent, and fully recommend taking up one of the full body massage offers. Went out feeling really relaxed. Also used hairdresser very reasonable blow dry and again excellent high standard for what I paid. Zumba class great fun. The bed really comfortable and choice of pillows! The best sea view just beautiful! Self service restaurant really good choice and tasty food clearly labelled for food intolerance. Me and my husband are gluten free and found a good choice every day and lots of treats on offer especially at the gluten free table at breakfast. We preferred this although served restaurants excellent too. I can’t recommend highly enough and would love to return.…

This is a lovely hotel with staff who are attentive and go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. We had a late evening arrival and a cold plate (mixed meat, cheese, olives, salad and bread rolls) was available for us. The food we have had so far is very nice too. We can't find fault with the Tui Blue Pioneer Beach Cyprus. Phenomenal stay.

Stayed here for the first time in March, have to say what a fantastic hotel. Not as modern as some these days but what a lovely relaxing place to stay. Everything very organised, calm and tranquil. Staff absolutely amazing. Lovely welcoming reception staff upon arrival along with a glass of fizz. Had a medical incident while here and the girls at reception could not have helped me more, from arranging my taxi to hospital and checking up on me for days after. Really reassuring as i've never had to go to hospital abroad before and was quite anxious. Restaurant staff could not have been more helpful and along with the two male managers that came to chat everyday. Food was varied with plenty choice. Poolside restaurant was menu choice and again absolutely delicious food. Entertainment excellent, even though was pretty quiet in the hotel they had everyone involved in the show. Tui reps at the hotel everyday and always ready to have a chat and make sure everything going ok. One criticism would be the staff were too eager to take plates in the restaurant between courses, no sooner put knife and fork down they were gone. Then again in the height off summer they probably have to be that bit quicker. defo need to download the Tui app to find out whats going on each day. Weather wasn't great but thats no ones fault lol. My wife and I stayed in this fantastic hotel at the end of the season in October... One of the best hotels we have stayed at which was refreshing as it was our first trip to Cyprus. The hotel is beautifully situated on the beach front and has a lovely pool area too. The food in the Buffet Restaurant was amazing, huge choice and cooked to perfection. Service was beyond fault and all the staff greeted us with smiling faces and were so professional. We were all inclusive and can't fault the package. Room was more than adequate and well serviced too. Fantastic holiday huge thanks to tou all and we will be back very soon with family.

It would be fare to say that this is the best hotel we have ever stayed at.. On arrival we had been upgraded to a superior room so had wine and fruit awaiting us and a larger balcony. However this room had the shower over the bath. When I went to check if the spa had walk in showers, I couldn't climb over the bath side, Christina was most helpful and insisted that she would speak to Valia the room manager. We returned from a walk to find a note under our door. We were offered, and accepted, a room change. We were even offered a porter to help us move. The new room was slightly smaller but had a walk-in shower and a sea view and would probably have been a more expensive room than we booked. Big thanks to Valia and Christina. The food was amazing. We only used the buffet restaurant but each night had a different variety of fresh food. We didn't have the same meal twice. The Cypriot nigt was a real experience and very tasty. All the staff from reception to the waiters and waitresses were extremely pleasant and couldn't do enough to make our stay something very special. …

This was our 2nd trip to the Pioneer Beach hotel, following our 1st trip in 2019. We would have been back sooner had Covid not arrived! Another great experience at the hotel - the trip yet again being made special by the incredible staff that work here. A special shout out has to go to Flory who remembered us from last time, made my husband his favourite dessert (which was no longer on the menu) and always came to chat with us. Flory is a huge asset to the hotel - so friendly, always smiling, happy and always going the extra mile for customers. The bar staff are amazing and work so hard all day and evening long. By the end of our 10 night stay they were remembering what drinks we liked and everyone was very friendly. Food was excellent in the buffet, a la cartes and the pool side options - plenty of choice for even the pickiest of eaters. Everything was always fresh, hot and delicious - I’d definitely recommend coming all inclusive! The choice of drinks is good, although as I added in my last review I would like to see frozen cocktails on the menu. Pool is excellent with comfortable sun loungers available, although you do have to get up early if you want a sun lounger directly poolside. There are plenty of others available on the grass area and by the beach if you are happy to sit elsewhere. We quite enjoyed sitting by the beach as you get the breeze! Hotel itself is always spotlessly clean and the card system for ordering food/drinks has been upgraded to contactless so you no longer have to physically sign for food/drinks, although you still have to sign digitally but the whole process is much quicker! The hotel could do with a general upgrade to the interior but everywhere is comfortable and clean. Beds are super comfortable and hairdryer works well! The entertainment team did a great job every day offering a wide range of activities and were good at getting people involved. Evening entertainment was good and low key. Music/bands/singers in the evening were good in the Marco Polo bar and the Cypriot night was great, as before. The sports bar however could do with replacing the dart board/darts and it’s worth noting to use the pool table you have to pay. We had another fantastic stay here and I’d definitely recommend coming if you are looking for somewhere to relax with friendly, helpful staff and great food. Look forward to our next trip already!…

Our third time at this wonderful place. Rooms are clean tidy and cleaned daily, any problems are quickly dealt with by contacting reception. Branded drinks on all inclusive basis is a bonus and no need to join queues to obtain your drinks, service is first class in all areas of the hotel. Beach area is a relaxing experience with waitress service available. Evening entertainment is varied and better than most hotels we’ve stayed in. Food in all of the restaurants is good and there are a couple of live cooking stations too, a la carte is outstanding. Staff are helpful and pleasant and are more than happy to chat and interact with guests. Nikos and Valia go out of their way to make sure hotel guests are kept happy and no issue is too small. While we were there the hotel had a Christmas event with Christmas drinks, food, entertainment and Santa Claus bearing gifts for the hotel guests, all free of charge, this was an unexpected and successful afternoon event. Best recommendation I can make is that we will be returning again next year, and the hotel is the standard we use when comparing hotels. Keep up the great work Nikos and Valia.…

This was our 4th visit to this hotel and it never disappoints. Excellent service, especially at the pool bar and restaurants. Evening entertainment vastly improved since our last visit in 2019. Spotlessly clean in all areas. We got engaged whilst we were there and have already booked again for our honeymoon in August 2023.
