We decided to visit Cyprus on 19/10 for a week as it was placed in the travel corridor at that time; we required to have a negative PCR test 72 hours before travelling. On arrival to Cyprus, airport staff were efficient and ensured they checked all paperwork in a timely fashion. Due to our package with Jet2/Indulgent Escapes, we were met at the airport by a representative and sent in a taxi to the hotel. Upon our arrival, we were greeted with champagne and canapes. We received an automatic upgrade due to our honeymoon - we had a junior suite overlooking the pool and gardens. It was lovely and quiet, the room was substantial in size, and the bathroom had ha wonderful power shower. They also gave us a complimentary bottle of champagne on the penultimate day of our stay, which was lovely. We were impressed by the friendliness of the staff - particularly Marios, Andreas, Janos, Livia who catered to all our needs with a smile. They went out of their way to make our experience lovely, and made multiple cocktails off menu! We enjoyed the daily lunchtime smoothies with a chat to the manager provided daily at lunchtime! The pool attendant went out of his way to make sure we had places that maximised the sun. The lawn and beach areas were well spaced, meaning that we felt extremely safe. All staff (and guests) were expected to wear masks, which were provided, in certain areas of the hotel. At the back of the hotel was the promenade which led to the port (approx 45 mins walk away), and the bay/beach, which was lovely area to swim. The hotel is the last on the promenade, which meant that there were not too many people waking past (public thoroughfare). The beach is adjacent to St Nicolas' chapel and sunset point, which is very picturesque. Having seen the hotels along the promenade, with the exception of the Amavi, I do not think the others come close to the quality of Asimina Suites, which stand out as an adults only hotel. We ate mainly at the breakfast/buffet restaurant and at Kymata. We opted for an all inclusive option, and the food was outstanding. There were lots of options at the breakfast buffet and dinner, which were delicious. There was also a night of traditional Cypriot entertainment, which was enjoyable. Each night at dinner we were serenaded by local musicians. The gyros and steaks were our favourites! The staff were also very helpful in organising a surprise trip to a local winery for my husband (would recommend Rikardos Winery, which is were they process wine, not a vineyard, approx 15 mins drive away from the hotel). We had access to a VIP and sports bar where we were well attended to until the bar closed approx 10pm. The break was a welcome escape from the horrors of covid in the UK; and we would be more than happy to visit again!…
This was our 4th visit to this hotel and it remains a wonderful place to relax. Despite COVID the standards in the hotel and restaurants remain very high and the staff are as friendly as always. Location excellent and the protected bay is wonderful for swimming.
This is an adults only hotel that deserves its 5* rating The staff have been very attentive at all times and the Covid rules were followed implicitly making it feel very safe. We only stayed bed and breakfast but if that was anything to go by the dinners would have been first class. As we weren’t aware of the dress code (closed shoes for men) we didn’t use the restaurant
My husband I chose to go to Cyprus as we knew we wouldn’t need to go into quarantine on our return to London. Not the case from Sunday. We didn’t think the front of the hotel looked very attractive when we arrived, but we were taken to a pleasant room overlooking the gardens and pool to check in over a glass of bubbly and canapés which was a good start. We were given a lovely suite on the fourth floor with beautiful views over the gardens, pool and sea. The suite was just a little dated in terms of decor but it was spotless and very comfortable with both bath and shower and a spacious separate sitting area with a desk and also a second unit to use for computing or whatever. There was a large balcony with two chairs and a table and, thoughtfully, a rail to put wet costumes etc. The staff in this hotel are wonderful. We dealt a lot with a lovely lady called Miruna. She was charming and very knowledgeable with regard to restaurants and suggestions for outings. We really missed her on her days off but all the staff were very kind and helpful. The hotel is built in two wings with the restaurant and a bar in the middle. The best rooms overlook the lovely swimming pool which leads on to the huge lawn area. There are many rooms with this view. The whole pleasure of this hotel is that it is child free. It was a joy to lie on sun beds well spaced in the gardens and not to hear piped music, traffic or screaming children in the pool. We were completely seduced by the whole atmosphere and it was exactly what we needed following a difficult two years. We like children by the way. Breakfast was full of choices with tables outside overlooking the pool. This area was also used for dinner. Another restaurant serving lunch was very close to the beach. There was a very nice promenade along the seafront which extended to a couple of miles for those who wanted to walk or run for exercise. There were lots of excellent restaurants with two miles of the hotel. We had hired a car which made life easy. I can not recommend this hotel highly enough if it’s calm and tranquility you seek. We loved it.…
After jumping through the necessary hoops (negative Covid Test), we flew on a completely sterile plane to Cyprus and on to the Constantinou Bros, Asimina Suites Hotel (Adult only), in the lovely Paphos, situated a good 30-40 minute level stroll away or just jump on the bus, right outside the hotel for €1.50, to the centre. What a wonderful and warm welcome we received and were shown to our suite with a sea view. The room had a double length balcony and was so clean. The bed was massive and extremely comfortable. The very big bathroom had a bath and separate shower. . The beach is lovely and there is a pontoon to get into the deep and warm Mediterranean. Waiter and waitress service was very good around the pool and beach and the staff were all so lovely. Breakfast had everything you could think off and was all delicious. Unfortunately, due to Covid and under occupancy, there was only the beachside restaurant open but the food served there was fantastic. I could carry on waxing lyrical about this wonderful, small hotel but I would just like to say that the manager should be so, so proud of the whole team that makes this place so special. We will definitely be returning and hope that you do too.…
