This was good hotel, not great not bad, just good. They have repetitive staff so you come to know faces with even a short amount of time there which is a really nice. However this hotel caters a lot to Chinese tourist or tour groups who are very loud. The room was good and comfortable and a great non smoking room. The pool was well maintained and the food was good. We added breakfast on when we got there for approximately $30 AUD for two people which is a good price, we also took advantage of the room service, however they would forget to collect plates when the room was tidied. Overall a pleasant stay at a good price.

We stayed 1 night at Dara hotel. we arrived already quite late for check-in (10pm). We got a room which smell like smoke so we turned on a fan and tried to get rid of the smell which didn't help. We asked the reception for air purifier but got send a quite rude house keeper who just barged in and spray our room with some even smellier spray which made the room stinkier. In the end we need to ask to switch room but got told that they were fully booked. The receptionist came up to check on the room and probably could smell the smoke+spray too so he agreed to switch room for us (two room next door when said un avail before?). We really didn't know how to feel about the situation but we were too tired to argue so we just switched room and went to bed and check-out early the next day. We will probably stay here again since it's in pretty prime location and the price was good but wouldn't recommend for anyone looking for good service.

I travel with my partner in town. Discuss to stay one night in Phuket. Find hotel by main road and fround Dara. Hotel provide parking., servive good. Look fansea., hotel room nice look new room, we stay feeling good. Breakfast No coffee matchin that my dissupointed.

We stayed at Dara hotel for just over a week and were very happy with the amazing customer service (especially from Tita and Tiew!).
I will say that the hotel is quite far from beaches, which we didn't mind as we had a bike and could drive to any of the beaches in anywhere from 30-45 mins. If you stay here, definitely check out Central Phuket! Go to the Shack for a smoothie bowl for breakfast... so delicious!
Overall great experience. I will also just say that laundry was a little more expensive than we had expected, and it's cheaper to hail cabs than to call them from the hotel.
ALSO! Go to Blue Elephant for dinner, quite pricey but the best food I've ever had in my life.

Cannot believe this hotel generates guests. The hallways are filthy and the pool area is so untidy often having guests making shouting noises after 1030pm. The lift is like a dustbin and was never clean the days we regrettably stayed The breakfast is a joke serving cold greasy food. Saying that the coffee is good. Had a couple of issues with the room which the receptionist ignored including the TV not working and the safe in the room having been pulled away from the wall. We were informed that was common practice in Phuket…..absolute rubbish!! We and non of my friends will stay in this joke of a hotel again.

Ms Numwan of front desk is very cheerful and helpful. She inspired us about our travel plans and gave us helpful information about transportation and good restaurants. The hotel is old and noisy due to travel group people talking loud. Breakfast is below average standard. Restaurant's manager is a man who was quite impolite when directing us to take our seats with square face and fingers. I asked him if why he behaved like that and he apologized insincerely.

From check in at the front desk with rude and abrupt staff to being taken into a room smelling of damp. Even the lift we were taken up in had rotten corn (food) in the corner.
Spent all of 2 minutes in the room before going down to demand it was refunded. They issued the payment & refunded the money - however I was alerted that the same hotel had tried to process the payment again after I had left. Thankfully my bank refused.
The hotel was dirty, no unkeep, rooms were large but dirty and old.
Very unhappy.
We booked into another hotel 5 mins away and such a stark difference in the 2.
Be warned of this hotel.

The smell of the room was awful and we told reception and they didn’t move us to a different room. The desk weren’t friendly at all or welcoming. Breakfast wasn’t great either. Overall really disappointed and i wouldn’t recommend. Location is good.

If you want to stay not far from shopping mall here is a good place and room size is OK with the size but forget about service, hospitality is yes as Thai but no standard of service. Disappointed! Send dirty laundry to wash and get the dirty clothes back. Talk only no action. I want to meet GM the answer was GM off from duty only Sales Manager who I met and only said we admitted we are wrong.... that's all! To meet their management also not easy, staff trying to avoid you to convey what really happen. Basic service and communication was super error...

Dara hotel is a great choice for the budget hotel traveler or business traveler. Breakfast is versatile and good. They have a nice pool area and a surprisingly good fitness room too. Friendly staff that is happy to help, the manager was super friendly and every morning wishing a great day to us.
