We passed through Phuket seeking a quiet stay away from the party crowd. The grounds really blew us away. Clean, and chic. Wow coordinated activites and transportation to our next destination for us. We didn’t have to think about a thing! She genuinely made our stay. She’s incredible!!! She really knows how to make guests happy! And we could tell that she genuinely cared. Thank you Wow and thanks to Como for a great stay!
Amazing resort and the service is 10/10. Couldn’t fault it. All the staff are super super friendly and helpful especially Elle and Ang. Amazing room, fab breakfast and the pool is outstanding. Beautiful views and I enjoyed the gym too.
We stay 4 night at como and highly recommend it for their great services and views. Friendly stuff, great breackfast with special menu. Beautiful architecture and so clean, the only peoblem was the location that was far from town and the high price of spa and restaurant, but no issue if u have a car or u just want to relax in hotel... The idea if putting every day different kind of fruit and suite was so nice.
Never stayed anywhere that had literally has a 360 degree view—staff was great. Off the beaten path —this was fabulous for us as we had been traveling hard for a month. Nice spa —steam and sauna great for rejuvenating
Stayed the first time. Came by our own car from Bangkok and touring the South. The hotel is very beautiful, great rooms, good services, and just absolutely fantastic breakfast. The view from the rooms are stunning (on top of a hill with good views on a bay). Its a bit away from everything though - Phuket is fairly large. We had a car so we like it that way. A beach to swim in is a bit away and the staff would use a golf cart to bring one - we haven't tried it, just wanted to mention.
The good: - the hotel is beautifully designed, well-maintained and carefully thought out, befitting the COMO brand - rooms are also beautifully appointed, with good water pressure in the shower - staff are always helpful, friendly and professional, thoughtfully giving out iced water and ice lollies for poolside guests during the day - food at La Sirena is amazing (must-try: Thai Style Bacon and Eggs at breakfast!) The not-so-good: - COMO needs to decide if Point Yamu is going to be pitched as a family-friendly or couples destination - right now, the "Quiet Pool" is not quiet at all, as children are being allowed to run all over the place, screaming, shouting and eventually crying - parents with young kids also have many better options for the money they are spending, with many other hotels that have more kiddie-friendly facilities and programmes, and no guests giving them the side-eye because of their kids - staff are not able nor willing to intervene, resulting in an idyllic environment of lapping waves, cool breezes, and the occasional cawing bird, punctuated by screams of children throwing tantrums - the whole point of Point Yamu (supposedly) is that it's far from the crowds, giving a different vibe and feel for guests who desire peace and quiet - if COMO wants to have their cake and eat it, they're going to end up with dissatisfied couples and families who all don't get what they want…
We stayed for 2 nights at COMO Point Yamu on November 2022. This is to mark our tenth wedding anniversary. HOTEL - To get to COMO Point Yamu, you must book a private transfer from the hotel itself, as we cannot find any third-party private car rental that goes to the hotel area, as the hotel is quite secluded. They have several choices that can meet your needs. For budget wise, not really as it’s more expensive than the third-party prices but we don’t have any choice here. It takes about 20-30 minutes to go to the hotel. Check-in was seamless and we can go to our room in less than 30 minutes. The hotel staffs would take you around the hotel before going to your room and explain everything, which is quite nice. ROOM - We stayed at their pool suite. The room was very big for the two of us and the pool also very spacious that we can swim freely without fear of bumping into each other. Also let’s not forgetting the view from the pool, it was gorgeous! SERVICE - Their in-room dining service was fantastic, all the food that we had ordered taste delicious. From the snack bites to the heavier dinner. We also did not have to wait for a long time for the food to came. Great service! FOOD - COMO Point Yamu has several restaurants. We tried their Italian food restaurant, La Sirena, once for lunch and the pasta quite a downside. Breakfast is mediocre, but their coconut water is the best! POOL - COMO Point Yamu has one big pool that connect an infinity pool on one side. Gorgeous pool view! Overall, to be honest, we did not expect too much from this hotel. However, after experiencing the hotel ourselves, we must say this was one of the best hotels that we ever stayed.…
The Como property does not wow you like W hotels. But it focus on the need of the guest. Privacy is superb. Even though the property is full, it does not feel cramp. Very thing is spacious and sparse. The weather was excellent but that also mean the water in the pool is very cold. I learned a cold dip is very relaxing when you get up The breakfast spread is nice. The Thai restaurant is nice but it is only for dinner. Most of the dinning is in the Italian restaurant. There are fantastic food outside and takes about 15-30 mins. Great and cheap Thai food. Great recommendation from concierge. There are public transport that brings you to the location and wait for your return. It’s not cheap but extremely convenient The property slowly grows on you and the night scene is very lovely. We stayed in a pool suite which is lovely. Why 4 & not 5? The 2 restaurants is limited and there is a lack of choice. More choices of food is only available from 15 mins drive. In the restaurant, there are no snack menu like chicken wings & satay which is great for finger food by the pool or in the room. At our floor (pool floor) when you exit the lift, there is a bad odour. I hope that can be fixed Finally, in the suite, the bedroom does not a curtain separating the living area. For older couples like us, we hope the living area can allow us to have different activities. My wife sleep late & I go to the gym early in the morning. I will disturb her if I switch on the light Hopefully this can be fixed. A curtain will help Otherwise, there are many merits here and is a nice getaway…
This was our second stay in the Como Point Yamu; we were well looked after by the whole team with warm smiles; food was delicious and room facilities are extremely comfortable. I would definitely recommend the Como Point Yamu and let them pamper you.
I went to Phuket mainly to stay at another hotel and booked Como Point Yamu as just another place to spend another night on the island. However, it was my stay here that turned out to be the memorable one. The resort had caught my attention for a while, but based on pictures of it that I had seen, I was not sure if it would turn out to be fabulous or boring. Luckily, the resort turned out to be fabulous. I booked the cheapest room and was prepared to stay in a small room without a balcony. However, I was assigned to a huge room with a large balcony and magnificent views. According to the staff, each room category actually consists of rooms of many sizes and shapes. The resort is not brand new but everything appeared to be well kept and still worked very well. I like the room's minimalistic but cozy design. The bed was comfy and the Shambala bathroom amenities smelled amazing. Pools were huge, staff members were attentive and the made-to-order breakfast was fabulous. The staff was also kind enough to show me the room that I was prepared to stay in upon my request. The room was a lot smaller that the room I was given, but it looked nice and I would have been fine with it. Food, however, was expensive than any hotels or resorts I have been to. Caesar salad, which normally costs around THB350++ at other places, cost THB520++ here. I forgave this one because it was super tasty, but the same level of satisfaction was not produced by the truffle pizza (THB740++) or the cocktail (THB340++). At dinner, I didn't want to waste money on mineral water so I ordered a tequila sunrise for my drink. Even so, the waiter (who I ordered the cocktail through ) still kept asking me if I wanted sparkling or still water. I said I already ordered a cocktail but he would not stop asking. At that point, I came to think this water must be free or it must be a requirement for every table to order one, so I went for still water and ended up with another THB290++ for mineral water that I barely drank on my bill. Apart from food prices and the mineral water incident, I love everything about the resort, including its location, which is probably one of a kind in Phuket. I would probably come again when I have the chance.…
