This hotel catch my interest due to its antique looking. It is an old building but the furniture inside is not bad, with me it is quite cozy and comfortable. The room keep original design from decade ago, with basic furniture and very clean, the bathroom has hot shower. Service is good and staffs are very friendly. A good experience... More

Just read the last review and i don´t really agree with it. I think this hotel is very nice as you´re staying in a Malay house who has been standing there since 1929. and is still in a very good state. Off course you don´t have the comfort of a new modern hotel, but if you´re looking to have an... More

According tot the Lonely Planet this hotel is reason enough tot stop in Pekan. Well, if you're into mediocre hotels with bad service you should defenately go! Bed was okay, bathroom had the worst shower I had in Malaysia and the service desk couldn't call us a taxi, nor provide us with any information about the city/busses. No wifi. On... More

I like this place, it does indeed have a certain charm. Some rooms are more original than others with the worst having the wooden walls covered with faux wood plastic panels. Basic but clean. I do want to offer a word of advice though; it is a wooden house and as such quite noisy, unless you are the only ones... More

This is probably not everyones cup of tea, but I loved the guesthouse. You can see that the guesthouse was build before electricity and running water were a commodity: water pipes, electricity wires and air-conditioning have been added at a later stage and are mounted on the walls. The showers only have cold water. The building is a weatherboard, and... More

This is a one-of-a-kind traditional resthouse built in 1929 by the Sultan of Pahang. Service has declined markedly over the last 10 years, but the resthouse is still fantastic value at 55 ringitts per room. For this, you get a large rattan and iron bed, ample space, excellent bathroom and good facilities. It is well worth booking in advance as... More
