We were very impressed with our stay here. The upkeep of the property is evident in the swept sand every morning on the beach, meticulous grounds which made you feel you were in the rainforest, and spots to wash your feet of sand, so you don't trek it into your room or the pool. There was an impressive fire show on the weekend and use of sandbag type cushions on which to lounge, during the day. It's a 5 minute walk to restaurants, shops and massage parlors. Tip- walk to the main street minutes from the hotel and flag down a red truck to take you to the airport and nearby towns for ridiculously cheap prices. And go see a Thail boxing match while on the island.

This hotel is made up of small bungalows around the pool and gardens with some also facing the beach. it is idylic to see and no room is a bad room. It is based at the end of a street directly on the beach. It is a quiet hotel. Breakfast is served on the beach front and has a good choice for all tastes. The staff are very helpful. There is a small swimming pool which is in good upkeep. It is a 5 to 10 inutes to shops and restaurants. There are plenty of things local to see but you will need to arrange trasport. Our room was simple but quite comfortable and facing the swimming pool. We had a double slding glass door onto a balcony. Plenty of storage space. Comforatable bed although was slightly firm.

Hotel located directly on Lamai beach on the south coast of Koh Samui. The bungalow has a nice terrace with chairs and table and all comforts (air conditioning, safe...). Bathroom products for two people would have been appreciated because those present were not enough. The pool area was beautiful and we took advantage of it as the sea conditions were not optimal. Excursions can be booked directly at the reception but must be paid for in cash (I recommend the one to Pig Island). On foot you can quickly reach numerous restaurants, bars, supermarkets and shops.

If you are looking for something in the lower price range, this is the one for you, a great location in Koh Samui on the Lamai beach. With the main streets close by giving you access to plenty of bars, restaurants and shops.

All the staff here are very friendly and helpful, I had breakfast in the restaurant most days which I had on the beach.

I did a lot of day trips whilst here and all the trips I went on, picked up from this hotel at no extra charge

The rooms were a good size and cleaned daily with fresh towels and bottled water supplied each day by the friendly staff

The Wi-Fi is good enough to stream Netflix from if wanted

Yes - I would definitely stay here again

We stayed in a garden bungalow. The room was clean, the shower had good water pressure, the ac worked. The breakfasts were okay, nothing amazing but decent. Lamai can be a bit hectic but the bungalow was far enough from the main road that we werent bothered by noise. The beach is across the street from the garden bungalows (and the pool) but it's a quiet side street and not difficult to cross. We had no problem walking from our room to the beach in our bare feet with a two year old in tow. The beach itself is okay - the waves were pretty big and the sand is a bit gravelly. You get people. peddling stuff and occasionally loud drunks, but nothing too alarming. Our daughter wasn't a fan of the beach but she loved the pool.

I have stayed at the Lamai Inn a number of times. My last visit was in 2017 and then I thought that the rooms needed a little bit of an update. As I've always enjoyed staying inn the complex I suggested that our group stay there to finish off our holiday this year.
While I really enjoyed my stay here, there doesn't seem to have been any updating of the facilities since my last visit 7 years ago. The furniture is a bit tired and although we had a number of garden villas for our group, none of them had the same furniture. Some had 2 bedside lockers some had 1. One of the bathrooms had no plug in the sink and none was available when requested.
We could only find one TV channel in English and that was 24 hour News.
The towels and bed linen could do with being renewed.
The pool area does not seem to have been updated since my first visit in 2009.
I love the location as its right on the beach. The restaurant has been extended and there are now tables beanbags and umbrellas on the beach, we really enjoyed the umbrellas as there was a heatwave and they were really needed.
Other hotels in the area seem to have been refurbished and updated and are charging similar prices to the Lamai Inn

Great location right on the beach. Clean white linen and towels, soft pillows and a comfy bed. Kettle and cups in the room, being English I need a cup of tea in the morning (although I always bring my own tea bags). The fridge did rattle somewhat so we switched it off over night, but everything was still cold in the morning so this is not an issue. Lovely quiet resort, kept nice and clean and a reasonable price, Koh Samui is a bit more expensive compared with mainland Thailand, however its an island and this is to be expected.

We stumbled on it in desperation and came across this small 3 star hotel on the beach - rooms across the road and restaurant and bar on the beach.

Courteous and friendly staff - basic room but clean.

Food is great ! Location is central and every taxi knows it.

Room was very good, with A/C, TV, balcony. Shower and toilet good and clean . Every day changed towels, cleaned. Quiet place, not noisy. Few meters to nice beach, few meters to street with bars, restaurants, shopping. Excellent location. Really recommended.

I stayed solo here for two nights. It was a fantastic location right on the beach and surrounded by greenery.
The pool was OK, nothing special.
Room was clean, spacious. The lighting was a bit disappointing but the balcony was cool!
The staff were very lovely and helpful.
Overall, you get what you pay for, it was quite cheap.
