I've just returned from a fabulous yoga holiday at Tigmi. The rooms in the resort are spacious and built around secluded courtyards, each one different, with their own seating. There are also two pools with plenty of shelter and seating. The food was Moroccan style, delicious and plentiful with a good selection of wines and other alcoholic drinks. The resort...

Tigmi took me by surprise. Overall I would say this is more of a 4 star than 3, but the rustic nature of the buildings and staff to guest ratio probably keep it rated a 3. The hotel is located in a tiny Berber village a mere 20-30 minutes from the frenetic and wonderful city of Marrakech. The buildings and...

We stayed at Tigmi in May for a girl's weekend and could not have loved it more. The hotel is beautifully done up in a traditional style, the setting is stunning and the staff could not have been more helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back again next year and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a...

I spent a week at Tigmi on a yoga retreat. I was more relaxed that week than my entire lifetime! Great food, great staff, great location away from the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh. They offer complimentary shuttle into town if you want it.

Tigmi is truly a unique experience . Don't come here if you want flat screen TVs, piped music, cocktail bars and conformity. There are plenty of chain hotels world wide that give you that Tigmi is like nowhere I have stayed every room or suite is unique. The place is a warren of courtyards, terraces, gardens and towers. The location...

Tigmi is run with charm and efficiency by Jean Paul, the manager, and his very friendly staff from the local village. The decor is stylish, the rooms comfortable, the architecture is Berber and the food is fresh and tasty. An ideal place to relax outside 30 minutes from the bustle and hassle of Marrakech. Two lovely pools, overlooking the countryside...

What a lovely place. Everything you could ask for, great service, amazing food, individual & interesting rooms, couldn't fault it. Particularly liked all the little courtyards, balconies & roof terraces. The rooftop yoga studio was a real gem, with an amazing view of the mountains. Close & far enough from Marrakech to enjoy.

This place has everything - its far enough from the airport to feel like you're on a long trek into the desert. the long, dusty track to the hotel gives an even greater feel of remoteness and then the final stretch through the Berber village to the hotel gates pitches you into the dream. The leafy courtyards and rooftops are...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tigmi is a place of quietude to listen to silence, slow down and rediscover that precarious sense of wellbeing. The house sits on the brow of a Berber hamlet (Tagadert) in the Haouz plain, positioned between Marrakech and the High Atlas mountains. It is just 24 kms (15 miles) from the Medieval city, yet a world apart in the peace you will discover. A true retreat from the hectic lifestyles we have all become used to. Tigmi offers guests the opportunity to unwind and relax but is close enough to the Red City that guests can pop in and shop the Souk, see the Majorelle Gardens during the day and the Djemaa el Fna square at sunset. ... more   less
