Hollyhock mesmerizes you with its rich green forests, the wide blue ocean, the fresh air and delicious homegrown food. It is also a container that amplifies personal transformation, brings together some of the best minds in the world to learn, share and build partnerships for change in the world. I had a mind-blowing experience at the Summer Gathering at Hollyhock in July 2019. Can't want to be back!

This is a paradise-like destination. The grounds are magnificent and gorgeous, the location is stunning and soul replenishing, the views are sublime and the food is incredible! The various accommodations are lovely - they do have very nice rooms. Though both comfort camping and in the dorms (if you go with those options) depends on your gear and the awareness of your fellow lodgers. The staff are all heart-fully friendly as well. Hollyhock is an AMAZING place to host a retreat if your people can get there. That being said, the only downside to Hollyhock is the remote location (one if it's charms) also makes it hard and expensive to reach.

Wow, a great spot for a conference, or to attend one of their catalogue programs, or just for a getaway! It may seem far, but the journey is worth it. Very rustic, eclectic, with great ocean views, nestled against a deep forest. The food - delicious, delicious, delicious, mainly vegetarian fare. I look forward to returning soon.

Sadly we've not been in a position to attend any of the courses here (it's a very long way from the UK!) but we did get to visit this summer along with my brother who's run a number of courses here. A stunning place with a unique atmosphere, in a gorgeous setting overlooking the island, and an inspirational one too. We just got to look around, have a great massage each from some of the resident masseuses (in a beautifully tranquil setting in a wooden cabin-style massage centre in the woods, have a long walk in the woods, check out the stunning flower and vegetable garden, visit some of the extraordinary buildings and spaces used for courses at the centre - oh, and use the hot tub overlooking the ocean, and have an excellent vegetarian meal that evening. Small wonder that despite its relative remoteness this is one of the top retreat and course venues in Canada.

We spent 4 relaxing days at Hollyhock. The food was amazing- loved the fact you could get beverages, fruit and toast at all hours. The lodge is a beautiful inviting space. We stayed in the Orchard cabins which were lovely, clean and quiet, but far from the lodge. The grounds are well maintained, but there needs to be more light on the pathways. An outside light on the bathhouse would have made it much safer to use the facilities after dark. You absolutely needed to bring a flashlight. We enjoyed the garden and the benches that were scattered around the property. This is a wonderful spot for a conference or retreat. We will definitely be back.
