We've stayed at the Hapuna Beach Prince many times over the years. The things that have kept us coming back are the beach, breakfast and the staff. The hotel is going thru a needed renovation and when we stayed there over Thanksgiving we found that...More
While I understand that the hotel is being completely renovated, it was sad to see the large number of trees that have been cut down at Turtle Point, at the North side of the resort.
Why? None of the trees were close to the buildings....More

Noisy construction trucks are in and out the site. Hotel staffs are reduced to just one or two, so no response from receptionist. Due to...More

The hotel is a big construction site. There is no restaurant, no bar, no pool. it is extremely loud. There is construction noise from 6:30 in the morning until sunset. Also on the beach the noise is very loud.
The only building available is frontage for the access road between the main construction and the construction staging area. It's a "catch-22"; you can either have the main pool, etc construction, or be out at the staging... More
The only building available is frontage for the access road between the main construction and the construction staging area. It's a "catch-22"; you can either have the main pool, etc construction, or be out at the staging area which ALSO by the way is the receiving dock for hotel (NOTE: the loud "beep" of trucks in reverse will get old quickly). Construction generally been running 8-5:30 Mon-Fri, Sat early AM (woke us at 7:30am), and a few guys showed up Sunday to work. Hotel receiving dock starts about 6am (wear earplugs!!!). Lower floors (5th-6th) getting massive levels of dust/red dirt. Love this place, but definitely AVOID
