If what your looking for is a quiet, relaxing, romantic, Ohana get away... the Mauna Lani Hotel is definitely a place to check in. First of all, it's the only place on the Big Island that truly knows the meaning of ALOHA. First impression of the property 5 stars. You are greeted by warm and friendly valet workers. Valet is...

Beautiful grounds and beach. Great place to take a stroll along the beach and visit the fish ponds filled with Yellow Tang, Blowfish, Awa and Puhi. The hotel room was comfortable and exceptionally clean. Being treated to a bottle of champagne for our anniversary was very special.

This big hotel didn't feel like a big hotel. No lines and people remembered our names and faces. The breakfast buffet was outstanding, with all kinds of food from pastries to traditional Japanese breakfast foods. It was pleasant to sit outside and even though it filled up, it never felt crowded. Ditto the beach. There were plenty of chairs and...

Stayed here with our two young boys (5 and 6). We purchased the Family Package where the 2nd room is half off and included breakfast (other perks as well). Daily $30 resort fee per room but well worth it (free parking, cabana use, snorkel gear, 2 free water bottles per day per room and wifi). Wonderful, friendly staff and also...

An older and quieter and VERY RELAXING place right next to the ocean. We stayed a week while a convention was there and it was still wonderful. Cons & Pros: Even though it was all delicious, the big downside was the food options at the resort. Great burgers and Poke at the Ocean Bar & Grill (10% off) near the...

This was my first time staying in the Mauna Lani Bay. Our rooms were the west-facing on the end. Let's just say it was perfect. You could watch the whales straight from your lanai. They moved north to south right in front of you. The grounds are kept with care. The winding paths take you all over the property including...

The resort was an older resort but still very pretty and comfortable. Our rooms were quiet and we were able to shut out the light for late sleeping. The staff have been there for many years and seemed to know returning guests. The beach on the property was beautiful. There was no extra charge for securing a chair and umbrella...

We enjoyed staying here very much. The hotel is beautifully maintained. The service is excellent. The grounds, beach, and scenery are gorgeous. They have wonderful fish ponds throughout the hotel and ground that even have hammerhead sharks, turtles, and a wide variety of fish. Lots of walking trails where you can walk to other beaches and resorts, and even to...

This was such a beautiful hotel. Our room was large, gorgeous with a balcony and a couch. The sunset view from the balcony was stunning. I made a postcard with it. The bathroom had separate his and her sinks and a great shower with a removable shower head. The grounds are lush with flowers and koi and fish ponds We...

The hotel and rooms are nothing special or fancy but are very pleasant for a laid back vacation. While there is a resort fee, it actually includes some worthwhile features including bottled water, bicycles, clam-shell loungers by the ocean, restaurant and spa discounts, valet parking and free snorkel gear. The grounds are really beautiful and incorporate the pre-existing Hawaiian fishponds...
