We booked the whole trip(hotel, flight and rental car) via costco and we are very happy with the whole package. Our vacation and stay was very relaxing and comfortable. We got upgraded to ocean front room. Very comfortable rooms, nice pool, very good service. Highly recommend it for people visiting Big Island, Hawaii. Its very close to Waikaloa village.

One of our favorite places to stay! It feels like they are family. They treat us so nice, and always try to give us the same room that we had last time. Great views. Easy access to the ocean and really nice pools that have been recently updated.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at. We spent 3 nights and I wish we stayed longer. The lobby and corridors were like artwork. Plants, fish, rays, little sharks. It felt like you were in nature, but without the bugs. The room was great. clean, modern. not much else to say about that. honestly you won't want to... More

Intro: My gf and I have gone to the Mauna Lani for 5-7 days every winter for the past 7-8 years except for last winter when we could not go. Since (the much more expensive) Kona Village Resort was destroyed by a storm a few years ago, the Mauna Lani is one of the best places on the Kona Coast... More

We are repeat visitors to the Mauna Lani. This trip we tried another similar hotel in addition, which reaffirmed our favorite. We were greeted and treated with aloha throughout our stay. The rooms, grounds, pool, restaurants are all in perfect condition. We did the snorkel sail again, which was lots of fun. We're able to snorkel with turtles. We will... More

Mauni Lani Bay was a Hawaiian paradise. Beautiful grounds, pool, comfortable rooms, great ammenities. Service was excellent. The place was tranquil & everywhere you look is gorgeous. We stayed there six nights and repeatedly said, "oh look.....it's yet ANOTHER beautiful Hawaiian sunset. The resort was booked , but never felt crowded either. Very peaceful. Also, adequate beach, enough cabanas for... More

I really like the outside of this hotel but the inside could use an update. This is the resort you would have visited with your parents back in the 80s at least that is what it looks like to me. The concierge never picked up the phone or returned my messages. The restaurant's menu didn't look appetizing. Yet I still... More

When most people think of a luxury hotel on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii they think of the Four Seasons or the Fairmont. But the hidden gem, and secret known to the locals & savvy travelers, is the Mauna Lani Hotel. On 30 lush, tropical acres with a GREAT beach, this hotel is very upscale but with... More

We spent 3 nights on Oahu and then 3 nights here. It was our first time to the Big Island and we were so impressed. I didn't want to be in Kona, I didn't want to be Waikoloa, this place was just perfectly private and yet close to amenities. We were ocean-view but not ocean front, which was fine -... More

The lobby area is gorgeous with cascading waterfalls on the sides of a central staircase. The place is impeccably well maintained. The staff all seem friendly and mellow. We've eaten at the Canoe House and the outdoor grill. Both were excellent if not pricey.
