Recently stayed at Wormald House for the Great North Run. Lovely welcome from David, couldn't have been more helpful. Nice little touches like providing fresh milk for tea in our rooms each day, and made us porridge for breakfast before the run even though it wasn't on the menu. Was more like staying with friends, made such a nice change... More

The hosts are very warm and gracious, and the house is very nice as well. Wylam is a very pretty town on the Tyne--don't miss getting some great ales at the Boathouse--and this house is in a great location. Breakfast was excellent.

My husband and I stayed at Wormald House just one night, but it is enough to rate this place one of the cosiest and loveliest ever! David is one of the kindest person We've ever met and he is genuinely interested in his guests and their relax. The room prepared for us was tidy, clean and comfy, and even if... More

Hello David and John, we want to say thank you for the very good start into our first hiking tour in great britain. Clean and big rooms, excellent service, good breakfast, hints for the tour and good talks. 5 stars earned. If we have the chance we will come back for sure :-)

We stayed here one night on our walking trip along Hadrian's Wall, and it was one of our favourite b&b s of the trip. David was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed; he brought up fresh milk in a mini thermos for our tea tray, and booked us a table for dinner at a nearby pub,... More

John and David Craven, father and son, offer a lovely accommodation just a few miles from Hadrians wall and a 5 minute walk from the Wylam rail station. David and John served up a sumptuous breakfast catering to every need and concern and the pack lunch was delicious....the sandwiches served us superbly while walking the wall. This was the beginning... More

I stayed here for 1 night, out of 7 in total, whilst walking the Hadrian's Wall path. This was my favourite stay of the week because of the wonderful hospitality shown to me by John & David. The welcome and advice from David was great and he was right about the excellent pizzeria next door. Breakfast was really well cooked... More

What a warm welcome! John and David are the most accommodating hosts. Our room was cozy, the bathtub was a treat after a long day of walking, and breakfast was lovely. John suggested a walk up to the Black Bull for dinner and he was right... It was delicious! We strongly recommend this B&B! -Jody and Jerry; June, 2016

Simply the friendliest place I have ever stayed at. David and his dad made us feel very welcome and nothing was any trouble. We felt like we were visiting family. We would most definitely stay there again.

Our second visit and just as we remembered it from the first one. The welcome was warm and the atmosphere friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious too. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for John and David.
