So happy we choose to stay at Aratinga Inn. Convienient for the town but in a peaceful tropical location. Rooms spotlessly clean with everything you need for a most comfortable stay. Rennie the Host/Owner ensures you get the best from your stay with her excellent knowledge of the Island, beaches, boat rides and restaurants. Her hospitality is genuinely warm and helpful. Breakfast was delicous and an added bonus of afternoon tea for the guests each day. Arantinga Inn also has a lounge where you can leave your luggage, and freshen up if you arrive early or what to leave later in the day which is really helpful. Also Rennie can arrange very reasonable private transfers back up to Rio which we did. We arrived to the Island from Paraty and used paraty tours for our transfers coach and boat also recommended by Rennie. Big thank Rennie for a lovely stay and many thanks to your staff too for all their hard work. Lastly I recommend booking direct with Arantinga Inn for the best information from Rennie.

Our chalet, the lovely and sweet host Rennie, the breakfast, the afternoon tea, the recommendations given to us, the ambience at the Inn - it all deeply enhanced our experience at Ilha Grande. The staff is extremely attentive and sweet, providing their utmost to perfect every detail in every corner of this beautiful oasis. Rennie always answered quickly in our booking process and helped us with anything we could imagine and a little extra. This hotel provides the definition of service delighters - to provide that little extra in every aspect of our stay. If we could give 6 stars we would.

We stayed 4 nights in this marvellous spot, very well hold by Rennie and her staff. Rennie will give you all the information you need to make your stay perfect on the island. I.e activities according the weather, the beaches to go, the good restaurants .... At the breakfast you can enjoy a home made cake and fresh juice; different every day - in addition to that they offer a tea time with again wonderful home made cake, tea, coffee, fresh juices which are just what you need to recover your hiking day. Last the rooms in the middle of an exotic garden are very well equipped with confortable bed, pillows and nice linnen. An hotel with good vibration that will contribute to make your stay at Ilha Grande unforgettable.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a nice review of your stay at Aratinga. I'm really happy that you were cosy and comfortable in your room and that you appreciated the comfort of the bed and beautiful bed linens. Zélia does a wonderful job as our Laundry Manager and she takes great pride in ironing the sheets which are scented with a lovely lemon grass fragrance. Camila and Regina will be beaming when I let them know that you liked their delicious cakes at breakfast and tea time. I am trying to resist a little bit and enjoy lots of the other healthy options on offer, but it's hard! What is especially nice is your comment that Aratinga has a Good Vibration! I really think it has, but that's because we have the best guests in the world who all bring such a wonderful energy here. :-) I hope that you will have long and very happy memories of your stay on Ilha Grande and with us at Aratinga. It was a real pleasure to meet you and to have you here.

I arrived to ha going orchids in front of the reception, so stunning I didn’t think it was real. Greeted by Rennie, gave us many suggestions on what we could do on our two day stay. We did very little but fell in love with the Inn. A very short walk from the pier, tranquil place, so many humming birds, colourful birds flying around. Hammocks are provided to relax and enjoy the peace. Rennie also provides afternoon tea everyday, the homemade cakes are incredible. Recommend, I go back in a heartbeat.

After searching we confidently chose Aratinga which exceeded our expectations in every way. On arrival we were instantly surrounded by beautifully kept tropical gardens, a very easy walk from busy downtown area which is a silent haven at night & were brought cold scented facecloths. Aratinga's owner- Rennie -is the most wonderful, amazing, accommodating woman you will ever meet. Our gorgeous chalet "Frangipani" was stunning with it's own wee balcony, hammock, table/chairs, spotlessly clean and well maintained. Bed/pillows perfect, beautifully pressed scented linen. Rennie has compiled a folder of useful info on the property, tours, walks, restaurants etc, but will willingly answer any queries you have. She even lends her own snorkel/mask, towels/sarongs also provided complimentary. One night we had a bottle of wine to have on our balcony & Rennie quickly ensured she gave us correct (red/white wine) glasses for. A lot of care has been taken to include so many incredibly beautiful touches that make your stay complete bliss.Breakfast is amazing, great variety of fresh food - you have to try "afternoon tea" with yummy homemade cakes in afternoons. All the staff are so friendly/helpful also, taking pride in their care of guests & the property - you feel like you're with family. Luckily we stayed 5 nts, but next time longer, you don't want to leave. You'll truly regret staying only 2-3 nts. Thanks Rennie & all staff for helping create precious memories. Hugs to Luci the cat too.

What an amazing review of your stay with us at Aratinga. Thank you! Thank you for taking the time to write such nice things about your stay. I am very grateful for your generous praise. On a really hot, tropical day it is nice to be welcomed with icy cold scented face cloths to wipe away the sweat and stickiness. I, too, love to have a cold towel to cool down after a long day of shopping on the mainland! After all of the Spring and Summer rains the gardens really are looking beautiful and the flowers are attracting hummingbirds and lots of other little parrots. It gives the feeling of being in a little oasis. I'm really pleased that you were cosy and comfortable in your chalet and that you appreciated the quality of the bedding. The heart of a good Bead & Breakfast must first be the bed, and then the breakfast! :-) I hope that other guests reading your review will take great note of your tip about the length of your stay. There's no question, a stay on Ilha Grande must be at least 4-5 nights. There is just so much to do and so many beautiful places to explore, a stay of just two nights leaves guests sad that they didn't have more time here. I will let the staff know that you felt well looked after and that they made you feel at home. They really do a wonderful job... and just tell me about those yummy cakes! It's impossible to resist them! So, my dears, I hope that you both have long and happy memories of your stay on Ilha Grande and with us at Aratinga. The Gate is always open!
