It's back to basics here - but in a good way. potential guests need to know there's no air conditioning on the island, the rooms (which are mostly huts) are well appointed, very chic but basic - our hut (the zen hut) had a ensuite Loo and shower 'room' this was partially covered and partially out in the open, bedroom:... Stayed here with my fiancé for 3 nights. Stayed in 'Island Hut' the first night - big with own bathroom and three beds which double as sofas during the day and own deck on waters edge - then 'Driftwood 2' hut which is just one bed with shared bathroom block. I personally preferred the smaller hut as better airflow and... More

We stayed for 1 night at Tiger Islands Village & Eco Resort on July 2016. My husband thought that we could get a little escape on this long holiday, so we decided to take a trip to Tiger Islands (a.k.a Pulau Macan) in Thousand Islands. HOTEL - Tiger Islands Village & Eco Resort, as they already mention in the Hotel’s... More

Spent 3 days in Pulau Macan with my husband during our honeymoon in Indonesia this June. When I look back, I think there could have been no better place to start our trip! Pulau Macan really is a little piece of heaven which you would never believe you could find at only 2 hours boat from polluted Jakarta. Once we... More

We stayed here for two days and I was in awe by how smoothly everything went. The boat trip was easy going, once we arrived I was surprised to see all the facilities packed into this island. Cannot believe the food ! It was amazing and the staff went out of their way to ensure I all needs were met.

Rates are very reasonable by Western standards, and include transit by boat to the island, all meals, snacks, coffee, water, tea, and juice, pool table, ping pong, badminton, snorkeling, and other various entertainment. Tank scuba diving is extra. Bar with cocktails and beer. Nice common areas where you can hang out and socialize with other guests. Huts are nicely appointed... More

I was asked by my friends to book holiday trip at thousand island. First I think it is an easy task, but actually not so easy, because there is no island has all the criteria that we want: nice room with AC, white beach, blue water for snorkling, water sport, less sea urchine and price not too expensive ^_^ Finally... This place was perfect for a peaceful getaway from the city. I only spent one night here which was just right as this was a tiny island. Our sunset hut was perfect for viewing the sunset and I woke up early, walked across the island in 3 mins and caught the sunrise. This place is basic and not for the... More

This place was a unique experience in itself. Clear waters, rustic and friendly. Here is what I will cherish about this place - 1. Loved the set up! An island with rooms opening out to the ocean. Crystal clear water. Few people. It felt homely. 2. This was my first time in the coral reefs and you have plenty in... More

This is the best Island in Thousand Island. Small Island with a very good eco-accommodations. I took the Island Hut, and the room is very cozy even they don't have Air con in the room, but still good inside. At night would be hot or breezy. a lot of food and very delicious. The price is worthy with all of... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a simple island based lodge / eco resort in an unbelievably gorgeous location (especially considering how close we are to Jakarta). We have 6 open air huts and 3 cottages with two rooms each on our main island. We also have two small camp sites - one on our main island and one on our little deserted island. We do our best to be eco-friendly and are experimenting with efficient energy initiatives, natural building techniques, island based organic farming, coral planting, rain water harvesting, water efficiency, and local educational and economic initiatives to boost quality of life for the communities in our region. We also prioritise food and do our best to keep it delicious AND healthy. Ultimately, we hope to make you feel at home and hopefully inspired by a little pocket of bliss on the doorstep to Jakarta. ... more   less
