My cousin and I stayed in this eco-resort for a short 3D2N holiday. After a standard 2 hours public speed boat ride from Marina Ancol Jakarta, we arrived and greeted warmly by the staff. Immediately, we felt like as if we're at home with friends and family. The rest of our stay was just simply fabulously perfect. The meals were... More

Don't expect luxury sheets and room service. This is an Eco resort and it offers the basics in a very special and beautiful surrounding. You are paying for seclusion and respite from the chaos of Jakarta We seen Dolphins, Swordfish chasing prey, sea horses, coral, flying foxes, iguanas, bird life and even the local cat was friendly. After staying at... More

A great escape from Jakarta far from the traffic and hustle and bustle. This is not 5 star hotel accommodation but all the better for it. Many of the cabins have stunning views and access directly to the sea. The food and drink is good with a small selection to meet most people's needs. There is great snorkelling with clear... More

Tiger island is the perfect getaway for a night or two! I absolutely loved the accommodations and the island was well taken care of. My only complaint is that many of the wood furnishings and ladders (leading in and out of the sea) are very jagged and rough. My legs were completely torn up by the end of my two... More

It's back to basics here - but in a good way. potential guests need to know there's no air conditioning on the island, the rooms (which are mostly huts) are well appointed, very chic but basic - our hut (the zen hut) had a ensuite Loo and shower 'room' this was partially covered and partially out in the open, bedroom:... Stayed here with my fiancé for 3 nights. Stayed in 'Island Hut' the first night - big with own bathroom and three beds which double as sofas during the day and own deck on waters edge - then 'Driftwood 2' hut which is just one bed with shared bathroom block. I personally preferred the smaller hut as better airflow and... More

Spent 3 days in Pulau Macan with my husband during our honeymoon in Indonesia this June. When I look back, I think there could have been no better place to start our trip! Pulau Macan really is a little piece of heaven which you would never believe you could find at only 2 hours boat from polluted Jakarta. Once we... More

We stayed here for two days and I was in awe by how smoothly everything went. The boat trip was easy going, once we arrived I was surprised to see all the facilities packed into this island. Cannot believe the food ! It was amazing and the staff went out of their way to ensure I all needs were met.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
We are a simple island based lodge / eco resort in an unbelievably gorgeous location (especially considering how close we are to Jakarta). We have 6 open air huts and 3 cottages with two rooms each on our main island. We also have two small camp sites - one on our main island and one on our little deserted island. We do our best to be eco-friendly and are experimenting with efficient energy initiatives, natural building techniques, island based organic farming, coral planting, rain water harvesting, water efficiency, and local educational and economic initiatives to boost quality of life for the communities in our region. We also prioritise food and do our best to keep it delicious AND healthy. Ultimately, we hope to make you feel at home and hopefully inspired by a little pocket of bliss on the doorstep to Jakarta. ... more   less
