We wandered into The Brewery Tap for a quick coffee and stayed for a beer and a pizza. A reasonable range of beers and some good ciders. We shared a hot and spicy sitting at the bar and it was delicious. Friendly staff and comfortable surroundings.

We were just planning to go for a drink and move to another place for food. The beer was great and they had some unusual beers from local breweries. They also have a fabulous list of gins and the recommended tonics to go with them. Presentation was excellent with raspberries or blackberries depending on which gin was chosen. We also...

I really like this quirky little pub it has a lovely outdoor seating area and nice decor. We have only had drinks here so cannot comment on the food however the wine and beer is good! Looking at the menu and the food I have seen I would happily eat here.

We stayed for one night as we were going for one day to the Standon Calling festival. I contacted the manager, Nigel, before our stay to ask for recommendations of local cab firms as the Standon organisers were proposing extortionate prices. When I explained this to Nigel, he straight away offered to give us a lift to the festival and...

I'm probably a bit biased as I live very close, but I'm honest too. This place has changed so much since the new owners took over. It so friendly and has a great atmosphere and is almost always busy. The staff are really friendly and fast to serve you.

Came here with fiancé and his parents for lunch during the week. The pies are delicious, with lovely mash potato and gravy options. They rotate the available different pies and sides so you get a lot of variety. Will definitely return at some point

We go here regularly for great beer and superb home made pie and mash. Mort runs the place and he is a character who has been around Ware for years and knows how to run a pub. He will always welcome you and show you around this pretty old building if you have not seen it before. Has old tunnels...

If you like your locals to have a warm atmosphere, stereotypical decor for a town pub and great pies... Look no further, and make sure you get the mustard mash!!! They also have a music lounge downstairs but this part wasn't open when we dropped in. Still worth a drop in!

If you are interested in drinking/having an event here or just meeting friends then great! (skip the next paragraph) They serve pies here, all made fresh on the day. You will have a selection of three maybe four on a good day. You choose your pie (though it has happened a couple of times that they have run out and...
