Peaceful. Tranquil. Private. Lush. The Aman Rimba Private Estate in Janda Baik, Pahang is all this. And more. Just 50 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur city centre, Aman Rimba (which means Serene Forest in Malay) nestles on the quiet edges of Janda Baik in the district of Bentong, surrounded by abundant tropical greens and bathed by the cool hillslope air. Designed in the timeless craftsmanship of a traditional Malay "kampung" (village) along the banks of the sparkling Sungai Benus river, this private estate is perfect for both fun family weekends, and insightful, energised corporate getaways. It offers a stunning backdrop to the romance of charming weddings, and is a perfect canvas against which great ideas are born. A variety of entertainment and leisure activities that draw from the communal village living of yesteryears makes it a perfect setting for reunions of friends and families. It has six private villas spread over three undulating acres, and can comfortably hold 20 pax, and up to 35 with rollaway beds, in thoughtfully-designed private rooms. Aman Rimba's well-trained and discreet staff see to all its guests needs around the clock, while a team of village chefs offer a variety of beautifully prepared Malay dishes made from the freshest ingredients. Don't forget to pre-arrange your meals when you make your booking so that we can ensure a meal you won't forget. Best of all, a stay at Aman Rimba means having the entire estate to yourself; no one but your guests will have access to the estate during that time. Take a step back in time, let the beauty of nature soothe your soul and inspire your mind. And enjoy the intimacy of being in this very private estate.

Detailed Reviews
Our group of over 30 people condisting of senior citizens, young families and children from 7 families, spent a wonderful weekend from March 3 to 5 at Aman Rimba Private Estate in Janda Baik, Bentong, Pahang. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, especially the kids
The 7 kampong style modern chalets set in a traditional kampong setting providing a superb back to nature very green atmosphere. The resort comes complete with modern amenities like wifi, karaoke and a games room. The surau was a nice touch for Muslim guests. The training center is a convenient facility. The nearby natural stream and a swimming pool was an added attraction especially on hot days.
The pre-arranged food is superb with a wide selection for every taste.
The 2 live in staff, Nawi and Abon, were very attentive and very friendly although there are short handed at times.
Being only an hour away from Kuala Lumpur, Aman Rimba is most suitable and highly recommend for
big family gatherings, meetings, weddings and such. It is a value for money proposition.

Cool weather, fresh air, excellent facilities, what's not to love? We enjoyed a very relaxing weekend stay. They have karaoke facilities, game room, swimming pool, bicycles, and pristine river just across the main gate. Staff attended us excellently.
Having said that, you will need to book the whole resort so you need to work out a budget for 20 to 35 of your family and/or friends. It is worth every penny though.
My family shall return one day.

A group of 22 of us (ranging in age from 2yrs -42yrs) spent 3 days 2 nights on the estate. We would not hesitate to recommend it to big groups of friends and family.
Firstly - the full board option makes life very easy for everyone. The food was delicious, and too much! (We honestly felt we could have fed more people!). We had a few dietary requests from the group and they were accommodating to our requests.
The estate is in extremely good condition, and is very well maintained. If I had to pick an area of improvement it would be that they upgrade the bicycles and for them to have a few more comfortable lounging chairs by the pool area and the dining area. (The dining area by default became our central hang out point - so while very functional for meal times, not so great for in between times).
Service was excellent - a very attentive Estate Manager - (En Ashaari) supported by his team.
This place is great for groups of all ages but not if you need wheelchair access.
Note:
1. If you want to hike, you need a permit that takes at least 3 working days so please enquire in advance.
2. Bring snacks and drinks for kids (and adults!). No near convenience stores, and once you are in the estate you won't want to leave. There are no fridges in the rooms so you will need to ask for ice to store drinks in the cooler. (Perhaps they could arrange for a common fridge in the dining area for guests to store drinks etc)
3. The river is very accessible and clean. But I recommend to wear water shoes as stones are slippery and can be sharp.

Christmas Eve, our son's wedding, and we were in the most amazing place. Both of the families and friends arrived from different places throughout the world and all were met with helpful, kind staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them, no matter the time of day, and all helped towards an amazing wedding. We were there for three days and can thoroughly recommend Aman Rimba as a venue, the wedding photos were pretty amazing too with such a wonderful setting!

We booked the entire residence for our extended family retreat - we were a family of 22, a mixture of adults, teenagers and small kids. The resort was ours for the stay and we were greeted on hand by the manager who patiently waited for the entire group to trickle in. We started off with lunch which was a traditional malay buffet at the central eating area. There was a good AV set there and Balinese music was playing as we feasted. We were then taken on a tour to visit all the rooms so that we could decide where each family was going to stay.
The 2 biggest villas were Kantan 1 &2 which had high end furnishing and finish. The 2 villas could be opened up to become one big villa and accommodate up to 10 people comfortably.
The Sireh has a huge lounge which accomodates a large collection of books and was the best villa to just sit back and relax. Our family members had their traditional massage in that villa - their masseuse were not altogether bad!
The younger kids were in and out of the pool whilst the bigger kids were in the games rooms having a grand time what with the snooker table, TV for you to plug in your playstation, table football and mahjong tables provided.
We also had a telematch organised by the resort and that was pretty cool too.
The best part of the stay was definitely the food which never failed to impress. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. We would definitely be back again!

This is not your typical resort. This is a place where your privacy is their no.1 priority. Hence why this is called private residence. Sitting on 3 acre land, Aman Rimba has various villas which combines modern and Malay/Bali traditional architecture. It has a mini swimming pool, a pond with swimming fishes, ducks and swans where you can row a boat on it, volleyball/basketball court for sports, game rooms/karaoke facility to keep you entertained and even a trampolin! The best about this place is the nature..beautiful river and various exotic plants. You can immerse yourself in nature or take a short escape from the city life as Aman Rimba is just one hour away from KL. Fully recommended. I will definitely bring my family here for a short getaway.

I went there two weeks ago for a weekend with family friends. Love how they preserve the old trees, each villas are well maintain and clean, the local food and BBQ night was amazing. The kids were happily entertained themselves at the games room and there are outdoor activities that organized by villa manager. We didn't get a chance for a massage experience because the masseuse were fully booked. 2 nights of doing nothing, simply just re-energize ourselves. I love it Coz it's only 45 mins from KL town and the place is easy to find. Will definitely come back there with my family.
