Firstly the staff were wonderful here. Smiley attentive and friendly. Food was also excellent both at breakfast and in the two restaurants. Rooms are huge with nice bathrooms but are a little gloomy probably due an upgrade. It was very quiet and we enjoyed having a pool area with very few people. Sun beds have seen better days and the pool area looks a little neglected in some areas. All in all not quite 5 stars.
Apart from being a luxury hotel, the staff is exceptional. They really know how to make the resident feel at home. Food is great, ambience is great and so is the location. Additionally, COVID measures ensure safety without hindering leasure.
We came to celebrate anniversary. Felt welcomed and enjoyed the facilities here. The breakfast was varied and offered a big choice. Pools were clean however were cold outdoors. Indoor pool was a great alternative. Would recommend.
We stayed her for 3 nights as part of a two centre break to Malta and Gozo. The hotel was wonderful and the staff even better - every member of staff we met was polite and courteous. Our room was lovely and had a balcony which overlooked the pool, was spacious and clean, well-stocked with the all the normal expected hotel room items. The staff were inobtrusive however right there when you needed or wanted something, there was nothing they did not try to help with. The food and drink is of high quality, wide variety and thoroughly enjoyable (I left a separate review for one of the restaurants - the sublime L'istorja). We definitely enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to others. Thank you
On its own website, the hotel is advertised as a 5-star luxury resort. I had contact with the hotel prior to my arrival, and upon arrival and a room change (room 1 was too dark) I pointed out several times that cleanliness in the room was very important to me. My suite, which I finally moved into for an extra charge (35 euros per night), was unfortunately not clean on closer inspection. We felt so uncomfortable in the suite because it seemed as if no one had cleaned it properly for weeks. The hotel then offered us a change to a bigger suite, but we just wanted to check out as the vibe was lost and we felt uncomfortable. The beds were uncomfortable - I'm still wondering about whether the mattresses were too hard or just saggy. The bedding had nothing to do with luxury either and reminded me of a camping site. Then there was a party from 10pm to midnight right under our suite - with loud trashy music. So we decided to check out after 1 night instead of 2. As a apology, the hotel waived the upgrade costs of 35 euros ("ok wow!) Actually, I didn't want to leave a report about the hotel, but it is actually very surprising how the hotel talks about "luxury" on its own website. The only beautiful things are the pool and the outdoor areas. The dinner is also of high quality - the staff are all very friendly. However, they are sometimes overwhelmed when you have extra requests - especially at breakfast, the team seemed inexperienced. In general, breakfast is more like a trip back in time to the 90s.…
All so quite and wonderful pools for every level of swimmers! Pampered with all sorts of food savouries in breakfasts as well as restaurants..Staff members that really go that extra mile for your comfort. Simply no negative comments.
Fabulous resort, exemplary staff and service. We used the Kempinski as our base for both relaxation and sightseeing across Gozo, Comino and Malta over a fantastic 15-night break. Room was spacious and with high standard of furnishings. Spa, restaurants and pools impressive and never too crowded. Overall a superb experience- we loved it!
This is the second Kempinski we have stayed at, and it met our expectations. The room was spacious, clean, and we had a wonderful view of the pool area. The front desk and concierge were beyond helpful, helping us make dinner reservations, setting up our car service and ensuring our stay was perfect. Even before we arrived, we emailed back and forth and they were so responsive and quick! The grounds were f the hotel are beautiful as well. We primarily spent our time at the adults only pool. The pool bar service was a little slow, but the cocktail options and Spritz hour made it worth it. We ate at each restaurant for lunch and dinner, and all were great. Gazebo for lunch was by far the best! We recommend doing the half board or full board depending what your plans are for the trip. Totally worth it! Also take advantage of the indoor pool and sauna. Very relaxing after a day of activities.…
Usually I don’t really give any reviews, but for this hotel I had to make an exception. Directly upon arrival we felt at home. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a massive lobby and restaurants with beautiful views over the pools, palm trees and hills. It’s a fairly quiet beautiful architectural hotel. It’s location fits perfectly with the rest of the island. We felt sad that we had to leave, but if we ever go back to Malta we will most definately visit the hotel again.
Excellent service and extremely friendly staff. The hotel room was high standard and complete with all amenities. The breakfast was first class with a wide variety to choose from and very fresh. Thank you to all the staff, hope to see you again soon.
