We spent a day at this beach around a week ago, which has a great view and clear water. Not to mention the fact that we dinned at one of the nearby restaurants which offered mouth watering wood and nice atmosphere.
We weren't sure where to go due to quite a strong windy day , we took a chance and despite the initial disappointment of being no beach . Just a beautiful bay with concrete benches and such to settle on , we enjoyed it , this plays grow on you , we drove past the bay to the car park at the top , sun bathed on towels , then had lunch at a great restaurant in the bay .
Nice quiet and quaint . Stunning cliffs . Nice cafes / restaurants on the shore and above the village . Great to visit for a drink and stroll or to eat good food in the many eateries , Lovely sunsets of the cliffs
We were on a coach touring the island of Gozo and just stayed here for half an hour just long enough to get an ice cream and a walkabout. I don't think We needed longer here but with a small sandy beach and play area probably good if you are a young family with children
No beach and several restaurants with the same meny. The visit was a disapointness. The restaurant Te Katarina behind ”The Boathouse” saved to nights from frustration. God food and nice staaf. No more to say.
Amazing place for kids and thrill seeker adults alike!! If you visit the Island of Gozo, this place is a must. The bay had a giant inflatable play area in the sea which was free of charge and a giant wooden harbour post which people and myself walked along and jumped in from (fell) it was amazing. You will need a car to get to Here.
The food may be good in some of the restaurants - but this seems to be an overly built up small town and has lost the beauty it might have had. The big crane doing some work until 7pm in the harbour was off-putting
Went to Xlendi bay today, was very disappointed. Building works all over, the smallest beach if you could even call it a beach was a corner. Big rocks and stones in the water. Just didn’t enjoy it at all. I can imagine that it’s a lovely place at sunset with the restaurants. Just not during the day ☹️
Malta main island has lots of fantastic and famous attractions less well known is the other nhabited island of Gozo which is just a 20 minute car ferry ride from Malta its worth spending several days there Gozo has the oldest man made construction in the world Go local and rent a lovely farmhouse from local office of Baron Group Farmhouses.. the houses are spacious, well equipped and the majority with a swimming pool This summer we rented The Almonds with friends and had a wonderfully relaxing holiday Xlendi and Marsaform have wonderful restaurants by the water Recently the Citidal in the capital Victoria has been reopened after major restoration project . the limestone in the area ensures beautiful turquoise water all around the island Worth a visit gocheck it out…
The sandy part of the beach is minuscule and the rest is solid rock with lots of people trying to make themselves believe it’s comfortable there. There are some bars and restaurants in the vicinity but to call this place a relaxing spot would be a misunderstanding. On the plus side, the giant rocky hills surrounding the bay give it a wild mysterious touch.
