First room offered dreadful - cramped overlooked , traffic noise . Second room OK but paid upgrade - music in bar a deterent to spending any time there. One playlist - with abysmal sound system . Hotel looks to have been designed by Salvador D on drugs- nothing adds up. Random lifts go to labyrinthine corridors to no particular pattern or purpose. Food quite good without reaching particular heights but the music and sound system in that bar would stop me from returning .. ever

Hotel's Favorite
My wife and I stayed here for four days and it was the perfect getaway. The hotel was very accommodating and always endeavored to make us feel comfortable and welcomed. The front desk was incredibly helpful and responded quickly to requests. The restaurant breakfast was superb. The waiters were not only fast, but friendly and personable. The head waiter went out of his way to talk to us every morning and ask (and remembered) how our previous day was. We also had the set menu dinner twice, and there was tons of choices. Considering this trying time of COVID, the hotel made us feel safe and valued

Despite a horrible welcome from the Covid team at Malta Airport which resulted in our booked Taxi to the Ferry terminal leaving without us,all was not lost. The wonderful Pauline on reception called me at the airport asking me where i was!!She redirected the taxi and soon enough we were on board the efficient Gozo ferry. At just over four euros return,it is a bargain!.The Grand is only a short walk up the hill.Pauline was there to greet us. We had a wonderful room overlooking the pretty harbour.Shortly after checking in,a bottle of wine was delivered to our room to celebrate my partner`s birthday.Bravo Grand! From breakfast to Dinner, all the staff are welcoming and cheery, especially the young lady serving the buffet breakfast. We stayed for three nights and had Dinner once with the Pork Loin particularly pleasing. The other two evenings we dined just behind the Hotel at Ta`Philip which is a definite one on your list. The owner,Philip is an incredible ambassador for Gozo and serves wonderful fayre. He even took us both on a three hour tour of the island the next morning.Gozo Tourist Board needs to reward him handsomely. It`s a great island and well worth a visit from the more touristy mainland

Great hotel with great facilities, the staff are good and will help you with anything. Excellent location, comfortable and the food is good. Not too busy at this time of year and a mix of guests from all over Europe. Weather is good at this time of year but there were a few light thunderstorms. Ideal for relaxing but and things to do, ideal location for shopping, boat trips to Comino and surrounding beaches, snorkelling , diving and excellent restaurants around the harbour (10 minute walk). The hotel is of a high standard but good value for money, the food is also good value in the hotel and high quality, worth every penny. Restaurants in the surrounding harbour are not cheap but the food is excellent. The Spa also has excellent indoor facilities and treatments. The view from the outdoor pool is stunning. Real Mediterranean experience. Loved it and will return.

The lighting was poor and dark Room basic 2 single beds pushed together to make a double Breakfast was same every day and was luke warm or cold. Thank you for taking the time to write a review about your recent visit to the Grand Hotel. I am delighted that you enjoyed your stay, and we have noted your comments about the corridor, which we have are addressing. The outdoor pool area is one of the next renovation projects and work will start in the coming months. I have also shared your comments with our Breakfast Team. We look forward to welcoming you back to the hotel in the near future. Warm Regards
