Jestem zadowolona z pobytu, Na pewno tu jeszcze wrócę. Wygodny hotel w dobrej lokalizacji. Smaczne śniadania. I am satisfied with the stay. I will definitely come back here. Comfortable hotel in a good location. Tasty breakfasts.
I had my daughter's confirmation party at The Cave Bar yesterday evening and I have nothing but praise for all the staff who handled the event! From the early stages of booking, Jonathan has been extremely helpful and going out of his way to accommodate my requests. They have also assisted with the decorations as I had no time to do it myself on the day. Food was exceptional, mouth-watering and quite large for finger food items, surely did not let my guests down and everyone left with a super full tummy! Elena who assisted most of the time during the party was very sweet and helpful with anything I needed. I recommend this venue for any private functions that you might have!
My wife, myself and a friend spent 9 very enjoyable nights at the Pergola Hotel & Spa having had to change from our regular September holiday in Egypt due to the pandemic. It was a bit of a rushed decision to choose this hotel but we were all glad we did so as we were made most welcome from first arriving and we found everything to our liking. Our rooms were on the 7th floor, but in reality, only one floor up as the hotel is set on a steep cliff-face and is built on different levels. We faced onto the quiet pool, and we used it throughout our stay, it really was very quiet, unlike the more popular pool down by the Cave Bar where locals could come for the day. It was busier, but not overly so, and we quite enjoyed the idea of mixing with the locals whenever we were there, all Covid safe, of course. Our rooms, 7012 and 7013 were large enough, with a very good bathroom including a walk in shower which all looked very recently installed. The water was plentiful and piping hot. Both three quarter sized beds in each room were comfortable though the excellent Air Con did make it necessary to use the blankets provided. The balcony was a reasonable size, all three of us could sit out in the evening quite comfortably for our regular game of dominoes, but little sun fell on both our balconies until 5ish, but that didn't matter to us as we spent our days by the pool. We were there on a full board basis and found the food at each meal good if not great, but, if unlike me, you like fish you'd probably be more than satisfied. Still, we never went hungry and on a couple of occasions the restaurant was closed for lunch and we had to use the Cave Bar which serves excellent classic bar food so that was a plus. The alcoholic drinks are all good, and reasonably priced. There is a limited menu included for for guests to use the bar as an alternative to the main restaurant and it's easy to arrange through reception. Mellieha is very hilly, and the hills are very steep, so we didn't venture out to bars outside of the hotel but did enjoy very good meals at Ta Randi and the Villager By Munchies. We also found the local wine, rose in our case, much better than we expected, both in the restaurants and in our hotel. The staff were all very polite and helpful and worked hard keeping up with the Covid regulations, in which Malta excels. One tip for first time guests. The steps at the side of the hotel that are seen in many photos are very steep, someone told us she'd counted 110 steps, but there is a lift in the hotel that goes from the top floor all the way to the bottom of the steps. Unfortunately it's not very well sign posted and we didn't know about it until a lady told us how to find it, so I'd recommend every new guest to find out how to locate it before attempting the steps if you want to explore the town or visit one of the many restaurants only accessible from the bottom of those steps. People with bad walking problems might not find the position of the Pergola ideal, though regardless of what hotel you stay at in Mellieha you're going to encounter steep hills if you want to go walking, but apart from that I can't find any fault with this hotel.…
This is a quaint hotel, with lovely views. Smallish pools get a bit busy, and there aren’t really enough sun beds, but the rooms and food are excellent. A bit of a walk down to the beach, and even more of a struggle to get back up the hill again, but you’ll work off those extra pounds! The beach is wonderful - soft sand and a very gentle slope, so good for kids and under confident swimmers.
Spent 10 nights there recently, what a great place. From the front desk through to the staff in the restaurant and the Cave Bar they were all most welcoming. The room was clean although they did not service it on our second last day for some reason. I'd highly recommend this as a good value for money Hotel. Think I'd probably upgrade the room to get a view next time as it is perched on the hill overlooking Mellieha Bay - stunning views. Thanks Guys. Pete
