So it's a difficult review due to a couple of reason.. firstly staff in restaurant and pool area were amazing.. friendly and nice.. even with the mask on ( which in my opinion is a waste of time due to most of the guest not obeying social distancing ).. the food was nice and a good selection.. unfortunately our room has the smell of a very bad toilet and smell.of urine was unbearable during the night so we kept the door shut and used the reception toilets. We told the reception staff this but again nothing was done so we decided to leave earlier than expected..
Loved the Solana. We came here for a couple of days after a stay at a 5-star hotel, and found our stay at Solana better in many cases. The rooms are spacious and modern, the rooftop pool area is really stunning and the food on both the rooftop and in the downstairs restaurant was great. The staff members were also friendly and welcoming. Mellieha is a busier built up area of Malta and there is plenty to do nearby, it's also good to hire a car if you are a tourist and explore the quieter spots such as Dingli cliffs, Mdina, although we didn't feel the need to leave the hotel in our 2 days. It is also great value for money. My son loved the pool and it was nice and relaxing for me too. We would definitely stay again!
Today i had plesure to visit Nataraya Spa. Santina at spa reception was amazing and always with smile and i need to mention Jana, she did amazing job and i will definitly be back. Thank you for everything. Love you.
We stayed in the “Luxury” suite, was a nice big room and balcony but the bed was two single beds pushed together which you would not expect in a luxury room. The pillows were absolutely rock hard, I didn’t even know pillows could be purchased that firm. I ended up using the cushions from the couch. We tried to use the pool but we’ve never seen a pool so busy, every lounger taken and the entire edge of the pool taken with people sitting with their legs in, lots and lots of kids. I fully appreciate it’s hot and they offer great value day passes for families, but wow... we stayed the weekend to use the pool and couldn’t get near it. Shame. The service at the front desk was very good, very friendly and professional. The breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold food.
Overall very good experience.good value for money.room very nice spacious, kitchenette in the room which has everything you need including hotplate, microwave, toaster, minibar, sink etc... breakfast buffet ,with a lot of food to choose from, including sweets and fruit.
