Atmosphere
Lively
The hotel offers a lively atmosphere with music, entertainment and activities for adults and children, though some guests found the music too loud or repetitive.
- kezmindaAug 2023 • 73 contributions...The entertainment at night was unlike what we’ve experienced before- 8.15 for the childrens disco is late, but we just changed the times we did stuff with our children to fit in... Tip- venture up to Mehellia town (taxi 8-10 euros) the most beautiful churches, views, sea view cafe with playground, quiet streets with atmosphere...
- Julie BrookesAug 2023 • 3 contributions...The best part about this has been the service we have received all of the staff are friendly and most of them very attentive breakfast is not as busy as the main restaurants and the whole atmosphere is more relaxed...
- Wil HAug 2023 • 48 contributions...DB also seems to believe they are running an initiative to save the environment by not offering straws with drinks, clearly unaware that the rest of the world has discovered paper straws...
- Gates Logic TechJul 2023 • 3 contributions...Despite the fact that it can get very warm within the dome, we greatly liked the evening performances. The mattresses were comfy, and the family room was roomy and tidy...
- M7114YXkarenlJul 2023 • 3 contributions...The second one is it would be lovely to have music off or very quiet when there isnt aquagym etc...
- Kay EJun 2023 • 3 contributions...Now your bands if you upgrade (we did not) you get the proper drinks on top shelf I could not justify the extra money just to have proper drinks... At night we'll it dies go on till bout 11 music and people drinking outside never bother us ...
- Dawn HodgkinsonMay 2023 • 4 contributions...The adult only areas are nice and peaceful, the family and childrens areas are well thought out, you don't feel crowded, we always have a terraced room so that we can sunbathe there if we choose...
- ggsendMay 2023 • 7 contributions...I feel the soft furnishings and tables in the lobby need to be replaced as they are looking a bit tired, otherwise the hotel looks great...
- Stephen JApr 2023 • 1 contribution...The evening entertainment seemed to be the same act put to different music which gets a bit repetitive after a few days...
- Nicola EMar 2023 • 43 contributions...We enjoyed the evening entertainment every day and the dancers and singers all put on a very professional show...
- ClaireMar 2023 • 2 contributions...The only thing I would recommend is the kids disco is on a bit too late for small children I'd say 6.30-7.30 would have been better as also 30 mins felt too short...
- Nick_Mitchell1978Feb 2023 • 36 contributions...We were given an 'upgrade' to a family room which was bright and spacious... This was significantly better and I would urge anyone who stays at DB Seabank to ensure they have this type of room...
- Tony MFeb 2023 • 168 contributions...Sound system so loud that music drowns out voices of singers...
- KDB97Dec 2022 • 24 contributions...There was a huge brass band playing outside by the pool area as you were getting ready. Live entertainment, streamers, fireworks at midnight, dancing until the wee small hours.... The rooms are large and are kept spotless...
- JoeNov 2022 • 307 contributions...The room was clean, modern and spacious... Didn't take part in any daytime activities as we were out all the time but the singers and dancers in the evening were excellent and put on some great shows for all ages!...
- Erica POct 2022 • 82 contributions...Only downside was the entertainment starting at 930 ... Long time To sit and wait when you have older child who doesn't do mini disco Would recommend...
- jp2Oct 2022 • 11 contributions...The kids disco was repetitive with the music they played so we only went 3 times...
- LLGS08Oct 2022 • 3 contributions...Shameful and even a five year old can see that they have jumped on the environment band wagon to help maximise profits...
- bgee123Sep 2022 • 106 contributions...My wife enjoyed the pool activities and the entertainment team were very good , organising games for children and adults which meant that there was loud music most of the day...
- Kathryn MSep 2022 • 3 contributions...The only draw back for us was the constant playing of fast paced disco style music around the pool. We found there was about an hour over lunch when they turned the music off and it was a relief... I wouldn’t have minded more chilled tunes!...

Rooms
Spacious
Various guests appreciated the spaciousness and cleanliness of their rooms, although a few had issues with air conditioning, noise, and maintenance. Some were dissatisfied with their rooms' location and view.
- Melissa KJul 2023 • 2 contributions...Reception staff very accommodating we where put in a room overlooking the main road with having children we asked to be moved and within 24 hours we had a room we where happy with, they moved all out things for us also... Family rooms are perfect my girls have proper beds not sofa beds ... There’s room service now which is great but not tried that yet...
- Martin GJul 2023 • 1 contribution...But thats clear with so much rooms an guests... Technicaly spoken: The corridor to the rooms is very noisy and the doors of the rooms don't really isolate the noise... The guests cannot shut up for a minute, when they get to the rooms late at night...
- JimJun 2023 • 5 contributions...The resort’s reception area is climate controlled to perfection but the rooms are left like sweat boxes all under the guise of being eco friendly. I feel that after a long day in the sun you should be able to go to your nice cool room shower in comfort and relax but that won’t happen here, you get out of the shower and perspire instantly because your room is so dammed hot and humid... I see staff running around with additional electric fans taken to rooms but a fan doesn’t cut it as it only moves the hot air around...
- JkayMay 2023 • 2 contributions...Currently staying at seabank at on arrival were told the family room we had booked nearly a year ago wasn't available due to an electrical fault on the whole corridor but not to worry as we had been upgraded to seafront rooms. The first room was too small and no where to put a bed for our nine year old so switched rooms to another seafront room...
- Helenr9092014Apr 2023 • 21 contributions...Our seaview room was perfect with views across the bay and harbour and the bed was so comfortable, sleep came easily every night...
- Ineta KMar 2023 • 2 contributionsThis hotel gave lovely experience for me and my friend... If you request to clean your room, you will find it spotless, smelling nice, fresh towels and even closed curtains like you just came in your room for first time, really brilliant...
- BriannarosaMar 2023 • 28 contributions...We stayed in a Seaview room which was very quiet at night and had a lovely comfortable bed... We found the staff at the hotel very friendly and always ready to help, especially the room cleaning staff, who always said hello as we were passing...
- Nick_Mitchell1978Feb 2023 • 36 contributionsMy wife and I stayed at the beginning of February. We were given an 'upgrade' to a family room which was bright and spacious... However, the room looked out onto the road and the road noise was horrible, so much so that, even with a white noise sound generator, we couldn't stay another night in the room... We spoke to the incredibly helpful Milly, and then the equally helpful Karen, and our room was changed to one with a pool view... This was significantly better and I would urge anyone who stays at DB Seabank to ensure they have this type of room... Our return to Malta will be bed and breakfast at most, we'll then eat out...
- Scenic704439Jan 2023We stayed at Db sebank hotel Late Jan 23 for 7 nights all inclusive.. I booked this hotel to celebrate my wife's birthday... Huge inside and ample space for guests to sit and chil... We were allocated a sea view room and it was so spacious with twin beds... we asked staff for a double bed and they were very responsive and they combined the beds which made our stay very confrontable as a couple... The only thing that I wish could be better is the AC in the room...
- Bernd KDec 2022 • 1 contribution...We had reserved a family room with 2 individual bedrooms for the two of us. When we got there we were sent to a room with a king size bed and two bunk beds for kids... The room could not be securely locked because someone must have manipulated the lock before and it was now only held in its place by a flimsy screw... All the other 3 rooms that we were "granted" as a result of our complaints had other serious deficiencies, the most common were clogged up sinks, moldy bathrooms (with the especially dangerous black version of it), non-functioning appliances to control the flow and the temperature of the water when taking a shower ... and so on... But the worst of all was the fact that the rooms could not be kept warm enough because the management of the hotel would not allow the technicians to turn on the central heat...
- Sue MDec 2022 • 30 contributions...I stayed here for 3 weeks all inclusive in December with a large group Hotel is spotless , rooms are great with everything you need including a great bathroom although in a sea view room you don’t get any sun on the balcony as it is north facing . I changed rooms due to this and I found the staff in reception very helpful As a large party with lots of room numbers it wasnt easy to book the speciality restaurants on the machines in Reception or on your phone so I had to ask reception to do it when we all wanted to eat together ...
- Stephanie GoellerNov 2022 • 1 contribution...We booked a family room and got one on the 5th floor with 2 separate bedrooms and 2 balconies with a fantastic sea view. The overall impression of our room was good... Some tiles in the barhroom were broken and the toilet flush button leaked... We were extremely content with our room cleaner who let us enjoy an absolutely spotless room every time he came to our room...
- EtienneOct 2022 • 1 contribution...The room was spacious but there was an intermittent problem with air conditioning. The room was also not very quiet with road noise easily disturbing especially in the early morning and the balcony door amplifying any wind noise to a considerably loud whoosh... Rooms too were kept relatively clean...
- LLGS08Oct 2022 • 3 contributionsThis hotel is not an eco friendly hotel as it claims... They should not be allowed to advertise this as part of the deal and then not allow for electronic bookings...
- Dex LSep 2022 • 1 contributionStayed here 21-28 sept. We had this holiday booked since June last year so was very very excited for this trip but tbh was a little underwhelming... I feel if music was on round the pool all day instead of just here and there it would of had a bit of something We arrived around 12pm but couldn’t check into the room until 3pm which normally wouldn’t be a problem but as we had a baby with us we thought they might of sorted out room quicker than they did...
- Heather ASep 2022 • 17 contributions...The rooms are nice with possibly the biggest bed we’ve had in a hotel before. The rooms are well equipped and cleaned every day... We were here the day of the queens funeral and they were showing it on a huge screen in the dome theatre although we chose to watch it in our room...
- Mel ISep 2022 • 1 contribution...Rooms were spacious, we booked family room, was really good size... This hotel was really good value for money, I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years and this one has the best selection of facilities without a doubt...
- Michael JSep 2022 • 9 contributions...Firstly, they are supposed to designated smoking areas, the ignorance of travellers here is unbelievable, even when staff ask people to stop smoking in non-smoking areas, they are ignorant and continue, I was travelling with someone who struggles to breathe so they were stuck in the hotel room for the duration of our stay. We managed to move to 3 different rooms in one day, as originally the balcony sliding door was broken and after trying to be fixed it was made worse so we were made to move rooms, which was smaller and had a lot of faults, every room we were in had a faulty safe and after being repaired was still faulty, the third and final room we moved to was slightly bigger than room 2 but was a further walk which was a struggle for some of us...
- JulesG24Aug 2022 • 31 contributions...Our room was on the top floor at the far end over looking the pools, it was about 20degrees hotter at that end so would ask for a lower floor in the middle if possible. We spoke to others who had rooms at the front or on the left hand side (facing the hotel) and they said it was really noisy...
- James TJul 2022 • 24 contributions...The hotel is only 30 mins private transfer, checking in was quick, friendly and efficient and the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean (also the rooms could be divided with a screen so at night we could get the children settled in bed and have a drink on the balcony without disturbing them)...

Value
Inconsistent
Overall, travelers found the hotel's value to be inconsistent. Some praised its affordability and found it to be cost-effective. However, several guests were frustrated by hidden costs and the need to pay extra for certain amenities or services.
- Dave CMar 2023 • 6 contributions...Main buffet restaurant is good but can get both busy and quite noisy at times probably best to avoid peak times Location is great and with bus stops right outside the door so easy to get around using Malta Transport buses which are reasonably frequent and inexpensive at EUR 2 per trip and even more so with a week bus pass which gives unlimited travel around the island and Gozo which is well worth a visit via the short ferry trip to see the citadel in Victoria (Penny)...
- Ddjj232703Feb 2023 • 11 contributions...In the buffet restaurants food choice is minimal and it’s cheap food!, Alcoholic drinks are good when stocked up but the tea coffee and juice in plastic cups is watered down loads... Don’t get a pool view room if you’re sensitive to loud noise because the standard karaoke entertainment is loud !... There isn’t much to do in the surrounding area so either hire a car or get buses because €20+ for one way taxis to st Julian’s and Valletta etc will get expensive... The bay is beautiful and is an attraction right on the hotel doorstep but I wouldn’t return here...
- Justyna KFeb 2023 • 11 contributions...cleaned daily drinks for which you pay are the same as in the all inclusive offer (not worth not paying for them) the breakfast we had early in the morning (before departure) was served in a dirty room with dirty tables and there were only a few rolls and a few slices of sausage...
- Nick_Mitchell1978Feb 2023 • 36 contributions...However, the room looked out onto the road and the road noise was horrible, so much so that, even with a white noise sound generator, we couldn't stay another night in the room...
- Frank SJan 2023 • 6 contributions...2 Euros gets you a ticket to go anywhere and you can use the same ticket for the return journey if you start it within two hours of purchase...
- michelle jJan 2023 • 2 contributions...Everything is dry and no taste and some of the food was raw...
- Heather TJan 2023 • 20 contributions...So there have been some major changes, however we rented a car and were able to see most of the island and Gozo which was well worth the short crossing on the ferry and cheap too...
- Uglyd0gDec 2022 • 48 contributions...On paper, it represented good value for money but, as a seasoned traveller, I expected the worst... Bus stops located outside gives modern and cheap access to the whole island and Gozo... Our trip included flights from our local airport and an all-inclusive board at £260 each... Return transfers were extra at £10 each through Holiday Taxis... You won't find us there in the height of summer but, for an out of season break, it is fantastic value...
- Sue MDec 2022 • 30 contributions...Similarly the main bar shuts quite early ( midnight) There is not much to do in Mellieha bay itself but the local buses stop right outside the hotel enabling you to reach the whole island They are cheap ( 2 Euros for up to 2 hours and you can change buses as many times as you like within that 2 hours ) The buses do get busy at peak times so I would avoid coming back from Valetta in the rush hour ! You can buy a discounted bus card in the hotel shop Overall I was very impressed with the hotel and it was certainly good value for money ...
- Jet28099488491Dec 2022 • 16 contributionsIts a well run hotel and as we were off peak travellers, we got brilliant value for money... The bus service is very cheap and goes right around the island... You csn purchase a 7 day bus pass for about 22 euros from the shop...
- Andy MNov 2022 • 111 contributions...I must give compliments to Chef Godfrey and his team, Jonathan who was front of house and many more... The token system unless you’re all inclusive is absolutely dreadful, forcing you to go to reception to “top up” with tokens to buy drinks... It’s purely pointed at making you feel like you should pay for all inclusive...
- Bianca BOct 2022 • 2 contributions...Reception could not find our Booking (Expedia) when we arrived and they wanted us to pay 2 days at 100 Euros before solving the problem but we refused and they finally found our names in their system after a second person looked into it...
- jp2Oct 2022 • 11 contributions...You need to buy a 10euros per towel card from the shop, which you take to the towel shack for the towels and swap back at the end of the holiday for before you check out from the shop...
- TravelmanOct 2022 • 40 contributions...Note that due to the popularity, families are restricted to one booking per 7 night stay only... Overall an enjoyable stay and if you book at the right time, you might be able to grab yourself a bargain like us which made the trip even better!...
- Stewart WSep 2022 • 7 contributions...For us the large dining rooms are unattractive and noisy and we would have been happy to pay extra for better restaurant options...
- Dan MSep 2022 • 14 contributions...It was dated, the bathroom was grubby with mouldy sealant around the bath/shower... This wasn't even a cheap holiday, I expected much much more from a 4 star hotel...
- Mel ISep 2022 • 1 contribution...Used Spa had 80mins Asian mix with full body massage, body wrap and Indian head massage for only 80EURS - was really nice - also have sauna and steam room which can be used... Needed to pay 5 EUR a day for chairs which was a shame but guess this is not part of the hotel so nothing could be done... Shame we had to pay extra for the ice creams at the pool bar, would have been nice if these were included... This hotel was really good value for money, I’ve stayed at many hotels over the years and this one has the best selection of facilities without a doubt...
- bgee123Sep 2022 • 106 contributions...We booked an all inclusive holiday with the chance to eat in different restaurants... One restaurant was fully booked for the whole of our stay but we did manage to reserve two other restaurants which were no way as good as we were expecting... If you want a quiet holiday then this hotel is not for you... Next time I will be looking for a smaller, quieter hotel...
- LittlevSep 2022 • 85 contributions...We had a 10 day stay at this Hotel; we are so disappointed as it in our opinion not 4* It did not help that we had to change rooms twice, three rooms in all... We got so upset that we spoke to the on-duty manager who offered us a nicer room, we were back to climbing in the bath to shower... The food at this hotel was awful, fish was dry meat was tough... You couldn't even get a decent coffee... The buffet restaurant was equivalent to an unruly school canteen...
- 436margaretLMay 2022 • 21 contributions...Would recommend getting a 7 day bus pass, easy way of getting around and cheaper than some of the 'trips'...

Cleanliness
Immaculate
Travelers consistently appreciate the hotel's cleanliness, highlighting consistently well-maintained rooms, public areas, and pools.
- Emma0276Aug 2023 • 26 contributions...There are water fountains on each floor and the shop sells the refillable water bottles for just €2.50 so well worth it...
- JaniepAug 2023 • 2 contributions...Every member of staff was polite, always welcoming in the restaurants and cleaners were fantastic, always smiling and saying good morning... Top tips, book The restaurants when you arrive via the app, take a refillable water bottle, water stations all around the hotel makes it so easy to have constant fresh water...
- Paul_Marshall_85Jul 2023 • 13 contributions...Fridge had bottles of water in which you fill up at the many water stations which I thought was a good idea...
- evelyn sJul 2023 • 1 contributionWe have been coming here for the past 12 years, there have been other family holidays in between but we always end up visiting at least once a year because the hotel is faultless...
- Helenr9092014Apr 2023 • 21 contributions...We usually stay at quieter times of year, but were there over Easter this time and were relieved to discover that the restaurants, bars and public areas were still spotless and restaurant tables especially were quickly cleaned and made ready for the next diners almost seamlessly...
- Tracy CMar 2023 • 1 contributionWe loved the Seabank so much, we are already looking at booking in later in the year. The staff are all so friendly & efficient, the rooms are kept lovely & clean. The food was just great, so much to choose from & all so fresh, we were very lucky to get a booking in the Middle Eastern restaurant, when we tried the other ones they were booked up so book early to avoid disappointment. The pool area is kept pristine, our Granddaughter loved going in the indoor pool because being March the outdoor pool was a tad chilly...
- SunshineMar 2023 • 1 contribution...I went to all of the speciality restaurants and booked mine on the day of arrival, had no problem getting into these restaurants as I booked them the day I arrived. I enjoyed all the speciality restaurants especially the Salia as it was waiter service and it made a nice change and the food was delicious The rooms were kept very clean daily with fresh towels, tea coffee, sugar and milk... Last time I was here I left a phone in the room and Strutthi who cleaned my room on the 4th floor found my phone and handed it in to reception, she is great at her job and chats to everybody, asks you how your day has been... Everywhere is kept very clean and the staff are willing to help...
- Ineta KMar 2023 • 2 contributions...Housekeeping impressed me the most, I wouldn't see a single corner or sill with dust on. - Peajoe79Mar 2023 • 3 contributions...Very helpful staff and helping you to get buses or taxis, very polite, always want a conversation good entertainment at night time very clean...
- Mark BJan 2023 • 132 contributions...The hotel was continually being cleaned from early morning and throughout the evening (it was the best hotel we have stayed in for cleanliness and we have travelled far and wide) So a big thank you to each and every member who did that job...

- Mike TravelsDec 2022 • 18 contributions...The hotel staff do a wonderful job in keeping everywhere clean and tidy... Room was cleaned everyday and for anyone who would like to see some more of the island, the bus stop of opposite the hotel, with a regular service every 20mins or so to Valletta... Would highly recommend hotel and Malta in general, such history and well kept country, will come back again...
- Stephanie GoellerNov 2022 • 1 contribution...We were extremely content with our room cleaner who let us enjoy an absolutely spotless room every time he came to our room...
- Tilt-scale-gyroNov 2022 • 381 contributions...I saw nobody leaving towels on loungers probably because there were loads of them around all the great pools...
- jp2Oct 2022 • 11 contributionsVery friendly and helpful staff, very clean rooms, plenty of food and places to eat, although the booking system for the restaurants is taxing as they get booked up very quickly, as we were a party of 10 (6 adults and 4 kids) we couldn't always get tables together and only managed to get into 3 of the 5 restaurants ... You are able to take the hotel towels across the road to the beach and exchange them on return for dry ones... You need to buy a 10euros per towel card from the shop, which you take to the towel shack for the towels and swap back at the end of the holiday for before you check out from the shop...
- Heather ASep 2022 • 17 contributions...Clean pools and the areas around them are too... The rooms are well equipped and cleaned every day... Staff in the restaurants were very efficient clearing used plates and cutlery and replacing anything super fast...
- Bronte25Sep 2022 • 76 contributions...The rooms are kept spotlessly clean by the hard working cleaners, the reception and duty managers are friendly and helpful and the animation team work very hard thank you Shannon,Bekim,Hesham,Selsa and Alex for all the energy you put into the activities every day and night...

Noise level
Noisy
Travelers frequently report noise issues, from road and traffic noise, loud entertainment, to noisy corridors and machinery.
- Martin GJul 2023 • 1 contribution...Technicaly spoken: The corridor to the rooms is very noisy and the doors of the rooms don't really isolate the noise...
- Brian85361Jun 2023 • 319 contributions...There are no noise problems with the doors closed and the air con on though...
- BG12348May 2023 • 6 contributions...The main restaurant was so loud that you could hardly talk over the noise, food and used napkins all over the floor, huge queues only to eat budget food - the orange juice machine dispensed an inch of juice and then water, sausages at breakfast were appalling, meat dishes were fatty made from cheap cuts and I suspect that the food served the day before was then reheated as potatoes used in cold salads and in dishes were hard and inedible...
- Nicola EMar 2023 • 43 contributions...We had booked a sea view room which we did have but unfortunately we were right on the corner of the hotel over the roundabout so there was quite a lot of traffic noise...
- Ddjj232703Feb 2023 • 11 contributions...Don’t get a pool view room if you’re sensitive to loud noise because the standard karaoke entertainment is loud !...
- Nick_Mitchell1978Feb 2023 • 36 contributions...However, the room looked out onto the road and the road noise was horrible, so much so that, even with a white noise sound generator, we couldn't stay another night in the room...
- Scenic704439Jan 2023...A bit difficult to operate and when you turn it on it makes a lot of noise all the time...
- EtienneOct 2022 • 1 contribution...The room was also not very quiet with road noise easily disturbing especially in the early morning and the balcony door amplifying any wind noise to a considerably loud whoosh...
- 616rosie88Oct 2022 • 137 contributions...The generator noise, no hot water...

Service
Inconsistent
Most guests praised the service at the hotel, describing staff as helpful, friendly and efficient. However, there were some complaints about unresponsive staff and issues with room booking.
- MarenJan 2023 • 1 contribution...The food was nice and the waiter was very friendly. He handed us a voucher for the sports bar that is connected to the hotel... The voucher said that we could do a free round of bowling up to 6 people... The person behind the bar told us that we were not able to use the voucher, because we were only with two people and not with six...
- Никола ЈDec 2022...I'd recommend to anyone who is thinking about visiting Malta to defitnely choose Db Seabank Resort + Spa as the staff are super friendly and patient always asking you whether you need any further assistance in any queries you may have. The hotel is cleaned thoroughly everyday and the staff will clean your room if needed to... The rooms are perfect, beds are comfy with a selection of TV channels... Would like to vouch for a certain person (Milica) who from when arriving to the day we left was always talking to us asking us how we are, what we've done today and do we need any help with any enquiries we may have...
- Bernd KDec 2022 • 1 contribution...We had reserved a family room with 2 individual bedrooms for the two of us. When we got there we were sent to a room with a king size bed and two bunk beds for kids... In other words: Everybody could open this door from the outside by just pushing it open with minimal thrust... Dead light bulbs were only replaced when one asked for it...
- oscar141002Dec 2022 • 12 contributions...I reported this on Monday I was told it would be fixed by 3pm and a bottle of sparkling wine would be delivered to our room. By Wednesday neither had happened and we are now being told the pool will be fixed today...
- Karen SDec 2022 • 191 contributionsWe have just returned from a week away at this hotel. We had a fantastic stay. The room which overlooked the beach was spacious with loads of storage space with a large comfy bed with good quality bedding. The room was very clean and the cleaner kept the room very clean during our stay. All the staff were very friendly nothing was too much trouble and all staff were very smiley and looked happy to be at work.We had a couple of spa treatments that were great... The location of the hotel is great right opposite the beach, the bus stop is right opposite with buses running regularly to all areas we also walked to the church up the hill with fantastic views of the bay...
- Stephanie GoellerNov 2022 • 1 contribution...Because we booked directly on the db website, we had a free airport transfer which was nice to have... We were extremely content with our room cleaner who let us enjoy an absolutely spotless room every time he came to our room... We always felt very welcome here by all of the staff members... We especially want to mention Ena and Jonathan from the Coral restaurant... They both made our stay extra special by being so kind and lovely to us and our twins...
- Daniel CNov 2022 • 27 contributionsThe positives: My room was spotless, bed comfortable, tea and coffee, in room safe, excellent... The staff I found friendly and helpful... The negatives: The main restaurant is a buffet style affair necessitating several visits to collect bread, soup, drinks etc...
- Meg HNov 2022 • 9 contributions...Majority of staff are friendly and helpful... What really naffed me off were the staff who were waiting at the restaurant to give out guest feedback forms... When we went to give the feedback form back, it was clear to the female that she had done her job... When I asked where to leave the form, her and her female colleague were so engrossed in reading the feedback and were so disinterested, she just said "Put it there" without even looking up... Credit where credit is due for the hard working staff, but can someone please give that member of staff some feedback, nasty woman who needs some training in Customer Service...
- Pat PNov 2022 • 70 contributions...I found the hotel to be very welcoming, the reception staff are always helpful, especially when I had problems booking the specialist restaurants. There were always people cleaning, and the room was comfortable with a stunning view...

- Pencoe1Nov 2022 • 3 contributionsWe stayed for three weeks and all inclusive and it was the most relaxing and pleasant stay ever. The hotel is kept very clean , the beds are comfy, plenty of outside space , all staff are very friendly, the food is great to suit all tastes the drinks are good and plentiful... I am a coeliac and require a gluten free diet, Chef Godfrey and his staff were most excellent in all restaurants with making sure I was catered for and if there was nothing I liked they would cook a fresh meal for me, not once in 3 weeks was I poorly... To a coeliac that means the world so I am most grateful to him and his team and thank you all very much...

- ladybirdWiltshire_Oct 2022 • 15 contributionsWe are currently staying at the Seabank and wanted to leave this review to say thank you to the staff for their hard work, despite this being an extremely busy family hotel the staff manage to maintain it very well... The hotel also provides one of the best vegetarian variety of foods I have had with lots of gorgeous vegetables, salads and vegan pies such as pumpkin walnut and cheese... The room is clean and tidy and housekeeping are efficient and polite...
- Grace HOct 2022...I can't recommend them enough, they have everything you need and more. The staff are all so very friendly and efficient and always make you feel very welcome, from the receptions at the admission desk to the catering staff, just everyone in general... I'm sure it takes a very large team to run it so very efficiently and they do so fantastically... We even got to treat ourselves to relaxing spa treatments...
- Heather ASep 2022 • 17 contributions...We hired a car so he could explore the island... Clean pools and the areas around them are too... The rooms are well equipped and cleaned every day... The drinks were plentiful and great for me as a non drinker... Lots of sprite and coffee available all day... Staff in the restaurants were very efficient clearing used plates and cutlery and replacing anything super fast...
- LittlevSep 2022 • 85 contributions...We had a 10 day stay at this Hotel; we are so disappointed as it in our opinion not 4* It did not help that we had to change rooms twice, three rooms in all... 2nd room walk in shower Whoopee!... The hotels answer to the problem was that they knew the shower leaked as the floor had been laid wrong, therefore they provided us with towels to soak it up... We got so upset that we spoke to the on-duty manager who offered us a nicer room, we were back to climbing in the bath to shower... The restaurants were all good especially the Italian, a treat to be served...
- YorkshirebhoySep 2022 • 182 contributions...After 45 minutes we had still not been served and when we did get served the Lamb was the fattiest i have ever tasted...
- Mel ISep 2022 • 1 contribution...Rooms were spacious, we booked family room, was really good size... Massive shower and body wash supplies... Iron available at reception on request... Used Spa had 80mins Asian mix with full body massage, body wrap and Indian head massage for only 80EURS - was really nice - also have sauna and steam room which can be used... Staff were really helpful and friendly also...
- James TJul 2022 • 24 contributionsDB was the perfect destination for our first sun holiday with our two children (4 &2). Jet2 were excellent throughout the whole trip and we would definitely book with them next time... The hotel is only 30 mins private transfer, checking in was quick, friendly and efficient and the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean (also the rooms could be divided with a screen so at night we could get the children settled in bed and have a drink on the balcony without disturbing them)... There was rarely a queue to get drinks (although a soft drinks bar by the kids pool would have been handy)... The best part of the DB though is the staff who were always polite, friendly and eager to help... A particular shoutout needs to go to Jonathan in the main restaurant who was absolutely lovely, he made a fuss of the children at every lunchtime and even got the chef to make a particular pizza for our little boy who had been unwell... Nearby Kitchen & co cafe in Melleha town is a great spot for a drink and snacks with children; the owners were very kind and welcoming... Overall, if you are looking for a chilled out family holiday in a welcoming and well-run hotel you can’t go wrong with the DB Sandbank...

Amenities
Comprehensive
Guests appreciate the varied amenities with emphasis on the clean pools, diverse restaurants, convenient location, and kid-friendly facilities. Some noted minor issues with facilities.
- JoeNov 2022 • 307 contributionsAfter reading a mixed bag of reviews I have to say we had a great time, for the cost of the hotel its everything I needed/expected and more. Food options were great with different themed restaurants plus different buffets to go to during the day and night... The room was clean, modern and spacious... The area is a nice area by the sea with nice views and short walk to restaurants and a shop etc... We hired a car so spent most days out and about sightseeing, al the major attractions and towns are within around a 30min car journey or there are also busses which stop right outside the hotel... I would happily stay here again if/when returning to Malta...
- Stephanie GoellerNov 2022 • 1 contribution...Because we booked directly on the db website, we had a free airport transfer which was nice to have. We booked a family room and got one on the 5th floor with 2 separate bedrooms and 2 balconies with a fantastic sea view... The overall impression of our room was good... We were extremely content with our room cleaner who let us enjoy an absolutely spotless room every time he came to our room... Our kids enjoyed the indoor and outdoor kids pools and the small indoor playground in the Jungle restaurant (which could be used from 9:30- the evening)... But it would have been perfect to have an outdoor playground as well... Most of the time we ate in the Coral restaurant which had lots of great food choices ( a lot of fish, meat, vegetarian and vegan food)... They have a kids food corner and ice cream for lunch and dinner... The beach with amazing clear water is right across the street which was one of the reasons why we chose this hotel... We always felt very welcome here by all of the staff members...
- Paula CNov 2022 • 14 contributions...Good location to explore the islands. Outside pool was cold but was actually advertised as being shut in November so was a nice addition and once you got adjusted was a great size for swimming... There’s a heated indoor pool which has adult only slots too... The sea was much warmer though 👍 Staff all friendly and food very good... You can scan a code at the hotel and do it from your phone... Entertainment ok, depends what you like... One night more geared up for families with a Disney theme...
- Palmal1Nov 2022 • 125 contributions...Love this hotel the staff are always friendly and the hotel is extremely clean. Our room was perfect, pool view with what was more of a terrace than a balcony... We were on the 6th floor so the views were amazing, we had a view of the pool the surrounding countryside and best of all a view of the sunset... We were very fortunate with the weather, we had beautiful blue skies and it was 24 degrees, we swam in the outdoor pools and used the pool bar which was being built last time we were there... It rained one afternoon so we made use of the indoor pool which is lovely and warm as is the jacuzzi... The main Coral restaurant is always vast it gets a bit samey samey and it a bit noisy like a canteen but you have the option of a late breakfast in the Laguna restaurant which is a lot quieter, the outdoor part of the Coral restaurant was also open and that's a lot more relaxing too... There are 3 bars to choose from in the evening the main one which offers indoor and outdoor seating, there's one in the entertainment dome and there's a traditional pub downstairs with TV's which show sports, it also has a bowling alley next door...

- Julie MNov 2022...Beautiful, clean, modern hotel. Polite and helpful staff who do their utmost to keep everyone happy... There is daily entertainment for kids and for adults in the evening... Something for everyone, including bowling... There are several lovely pools, a gym and massage Parlour... The beach is on the doorstep and Transport is readily available to all parts of the island for very little cost...
- Ksenya BNov 2022 • 1 contributionReally lovely hotel - we chanced it with a November booking but got super lucky with the weather, only 1 rainy day out of 5. Outdoor pool was chilly but we braved it a few times, and the sea was still an enjoyable temperature... There is a spa and an indoor pool, plus a sports bar so plenty to do within the realms of the resort, I wouldn't bother staying here if you're going to do lots of exploring around Malta, it was hard to tear ourselves away from the comfort of the hotel at times... Seabanks also has lots to offer in terms of food and entertainment, I can see it getting very crowded at peak season but for a lazy break in mid November as a couple this was ideal!...
- LouiseOct 2022 • 1 contribution...Travelling with a baby and toddler, has its own worries but the kindness of the staff and hotel’s amenities which were excellent and catered for all, took any stresses away. The indoor pirate ship pool was a real hit with both of my children... It’s the perfect size and depth for little ones... There was always plenty of choice at meal times and we were able to visit several of the themed restaurants... The staff in the restaurants were very attentive and kind to my children and so patient of any mess... The location of the hotel is great for accessing the beach and the short walk to the mini market & boat yard was nice and an easy one for my toddler... Our room was spotlessly clean and large enough for all of us... The balcony and view over the ocean were also brilliant... We had a truly excellent holiday at this hotel and would definitely visit again...
- TravelmanOct 2022 • 40 contributionsEnjoyed a nice 7 night all inclusivr break during the October half term in Malta... It was also only 6 minutes away from Popeye Village, the set for the 1980 movie starring the late Robin Williams... Seabank is big hotel so they can accommodate a lot of guests which was very noticeable during the breakfasts where queuing was generally required... The kids favourite was The Jungle primarily because it had a small softplay which allowed the kids to burn off some much needed energy after dinner... In terms of amenities, Seabank has 4 main pools... An adult only pool, 2 interjoining main pools and then a heated pool inside... Not sure if it was because of the travel season but the water in the outdoor pools was as cold as ice!... Seabank provides daily / nightly entertainment throughout the week except Tuesdays... All the kids enjoyed getting involved in the poolside activities and the evening discos...

There were a lot of options if you were hungry during the day after breakfast it was only a couple of hours before lunch in the Coral or Laguna (unless there was a private function) and then again at four o clock the main restaurants would reopen before dinner was available in all of the restaurants from six o clock... We went in September so there were plenty of sun beds around the main pools however the smoking areas are not segregated away from the non smoking and some people didn’t take any notice of the signs anyway...
- manuela bSep 2022 • 2 contributionsThe hotel in all was nice but for the price we paid, we expected much better. Hotel's Favorite
Wow just got back here from our lovley week away for some November sun and to celebrate my friends birthday.
If you to stay in a lovley hotel in a nice area book it now! Lovley staff here from management to all the bar tenders and restaurant staff, entertainment and animation team. Special shout-out to Hisham for always making me and my mum enjoy all of the sports especially archery. They even gave me a certificate after feeling left out on my last night🤣 also thank you for embarrassing my friend on her b'day and bringing her on stage!lol she loved it really..lol
I also want to shout out the main bartender at the dome bar AZay? You always remember what drink I'm having without saying anything that is talent as even in November it is busy lol I highly recommend the Peach CoCo cocktail!
The evening entertainment is outstanding. My favourite show was the Disney show but they all are amazing and work so hard. Special Shoutout to Vitor his voice should be in the west end it's incredible 🙌
The hotel is very clean and the room gets cleaned every day with fresh towels. My only thing I would say is our hot water didn't work for 2 days but when I asked about it they sorted it straight away. There is also a free safe and kettle in the room which is great with free WiFi. The bed is the most comfy bed I've ever stayed in abroad and I travel quite a bit.
My main tip is book the restaurant's the first day you arrive as they get full quick. I couldn't work out how to do it in reception but you can do it on your phone aswell just write down Ur days and times so you don't forget.
The story time is the most posh one as it's a sharer menu and every other one is buffay style but they are all amazing.
I would say this is the best food and drink all-inclusive I've ever had at an all-inclusive and the cakes are insane with full English fry ups in the morning too. I've definitely put on a stone this week lol
The jungle restaurant has a water fountain and looks amazing. There's 3 main bars but the one near reception shuts the latest at midnight.
My only thing I would say Is if you are a young person looking for good nightlife this is not the hotel for you. But if you want a nice chill gateway this hotel more suits family's with kids and couples if I didn't have my friend with me I feel like I would of got bored quickly but that's my only downfall other wise it's a lovley resort on a quiet place in Malta. It's literally across the rd from the bus station to the main city aswell and there is a cute little beach oppsit where the water is clear and you can see the fish.

The hotel was very good value for a last minute discounted week away. It is very well run, spotlessly clean and has some good activities and entertainment on offer
It’s typical “package holiday” fare though, so if you like that, it’s a good option
We stayed half board. The buffet food at breakfast and dinner is fresh, plentiful, with good choices and of reasonable quality. It seemed that whether on half board or all inclusive drinks are included at dinner which was an unexpected bonus
If not all inclusive, you purchase drinks tokens for use at the bars where the prices are very reasonable
The pool areas are extensive with loads of sun beds. The €10 towel deposit is a good policy and it stops guests reserving sun beds
Staff at reception are very helpful and friendly
Car parking is free and underneath the hotel
There’s a convenience shop on site where you can buy essentials
We didn’t use the spa facilities
What could be improved? Bath towels are too small, or each room needs 4 not 2; The staff around the main restaurant and bars weren’t particularly friendly, but always helpful; we didn’t use the other restaurants as they’re not included on half board. The hotel was very noisy in the corridors at night with inconsiderate guests. Soundproofing could be improved
Not the hotel’s fault, but we found the surrounding area uncared for and dirty which was unpleasant when walking around
The beach isn’t great really, there are much better beaches around Malta and on Gozo
I wouldn’t stay here again, but that’s more about the location and the package holiday rather than any issue with the hotel

We Arrived at the Seabank hotel on the 20th December via jet 2 holidays all inclusive as it worked out very cost effective to do so over this period of time our transfer was quick and check in very simple and easy with helpful staff room 5302 lovely spacious room with a sea view balcony tea coffee facillities fridge tv safe wardrobe / air con was turned off but there was heating on in the hotel and we had the patio door open which kept the room at a nice temperature you room was attended daily by pleasent helpful staff . one draw back it is close to the lift and could be noisy at night and from 8am -9.30am from children and adults.
the main restaurant was coral which has an adult area only and helped a bit but the choice and selction of food in the restaurant was good steak /pizza fish /soup starters and dessert hot and tasty
the animation team were great very friendly and happy
the Laguna restaurant opens later in the morning and offers everything coral does but less busy
the indoor pool was ok warm and offered Adult only time from 3-5pm but was poorly managed by Higher managment team as it appeared to be on there low priority list
Katya the manageress was excellnt in doing what she could we spoke to the Hotel GM who then invited us to speak to the management team and address this
they have and did also we got a complimentary Massage and booked into the Al a carte restaurant
there are Al A Carte / The Jungle american style food ribs burgers Mac and cheese fries a Chineese which was very nice and an italian a great sports bar with bowling ally / the beach is just across the road we would come back to this hotel

Arrived at the hotel a couple of hours before check in, no problem, I had to wait for my room, but no problem, as the hotel gave me my wristband to use facilities, get drinks and some lunch. Food VERY good, great variety and changing meals for dinner every day.
Room very clean and tidy, all rooms have a balcony, which you can smoke on, no smoking in rooms though as €100 cleanup fine.
Room safe and kettle and fridge with water which can be refilled at the lobby fountain. While you can drink the tap water, it doesn't taste nice(quite metallic), bottled water is much better.
Bars were good, variety of drinks, if you want strong drinks, just ask.
You have the main restaurant (Coral) which you can visit every day (breakfast, lunch, dinner) there are other restaurants (Asian, American, Brazilian, Italian) that need booking, which can be done either at reception, or the touch screen computers in the lobby. If you miss the breakfast at the coral, there is late breakfast in the Asian restaurant, as well as afternoon snacks (late lunch) in the same place.
Cabaret shows every night in "The Dome" from 2130
Staff work exceedingly hard.
Once all inclusive finishes (Midnight), there's a couple of bars up the road, few minutes walk.
Bus stops right outside the hotel in both directions, one to the Malta/Gozo Ferry terminal, the other heading towards Bugibba/Valletta, if you want to go to Mdina for example, you'll need to get another bus. But tickets so cheap in winter, €1.50 for a 2 hour ticket, use on as many busses as you want in those two hours, just show your ticket to the next bus driver.
Even in January the hotel was busy, with people from all over the world checking in every day.
The hotel doesn't have much outside late at night, apart from the couple of bars up the road, so if you want nightclubs etc. Taxi needed.
I had a fantastic time at this hotel, great laughs, made great mates, and really lifted those winter blues!
Thank you Db Seabank for a great time!

Rooms clean with everything you need the tea/coffee is a nice touch, the bars are good and drinks ok especially the cocktails, the main restaurant food repetitive and not to my liking just typical all inclusive, late breakfast was good no rushing down in morning, the choice of restaurants was good enjoyed the Oriental and Italian didn’t try the others, didn’t use indoor pool as full of kids, downside booked this for NYE thought it would be really good band was very disappointing the act for NYE was Elton John tribute can’t stand him at best of times, found it hard to get a seat in the dome with selfish parents letting the kids have the seats, we ended up sitting on a window ledge, the tribute was so boring and looking at other people they was bored, it’s NYE you need a lively group to get people dancing not sitting listening to miserable candle in the wind, very disappointing, New Year’s Day had the entertainment group on and this was better than NYE. The resort is really large and seems busy but when you grab a drink and sit down there’s not really much else to, I found this hotel boring and disappointing I think the only time I’d like it is in the summer with my family, staying with just 1 friend I noticed everyone was either in couples or groups people didn’t socialise heads in phones aswell typical of today. Supposed to be coming back Jan 20th for 4 days it’s a choice between this and our regular hotel Bella Vista, I know which 1 it will be and it’s not DB seabank what a huge waste of money

Dear Kazz S, Thank you so much for taking some time to review in detail your holiday experience at db Seabank Resort + Spa. I am pleased to learn that you found that our bars are good especially the Punent Bar but disappointed to read that you did find the Resort to be big and 'boring & didn't enjoy the entertainment provided on NYE. I do understand that this could be a matter of personal preferences as you mentioned that you cannot stand Elton John. This particular Tribute Band was brought over from the UK specifically for db Seabank Resort + Spa in order to provide something special for the special evening. I am also saddened to read that you have felt that booking with us was a 'huge waste of money':luckily during the same time of your stay,we have received very positive feedback from the vast majority of our guests who have praised us immensely and have had a great holiday and pleased with from the services offered by our staff , Food, Drinks & Amenities providing during this busy Festive Season. We cut our stay short and checked out after one day. I was really shocked by what I found at the hotel as I had read all of the reviews here but if you read the reviews on fb it is more accurate for what to expect at the moment.
Firstly, although the hotel has followed government outlines and displayed stickers, posters, sanitiser, visors worn by staff etc none of this is enforced. There is no social distancing at reception, in restaurants, around the pool or while queuing. Management need to insist guests do this. It didn't feel safe at all.
Most of the restaurants and bars were closed and they stated this was to help but all it did was create ridiculous queues for the one pool bar open. As it is All Inclusive and there are many day guests you can imagine how manic this was. Drinks are in small little cups so you need endless refills and the cups are disregarded around the pool area. Staff couldn't keep up with the tidy up required as it was so busy. There are swarms of wasps in all areas around the pool and as soon as you put a drink down 4 or 5 wasps were on it.
You need to book all meals but there was never availability for the a la carte restaurant. You are supposed dine at you allocated time and present your ticket but no one checks so guests turn up any time which results in massive queues for cooked breakfasts and in the evening. Staff are supposed to serve you but guests were helping themselves regardless. The staff seemed unable to cope with the number of guests so it was difficult to find a clean table. At lunchtime the Laguna pool restaurant was a free for all. There needs to be more presence from senior staff to ensure procedures are followed and take control of the situation.
After a day we decided that we would move hotels as this one was not hotel advertised on social media as promised. The photos of spaced out loungers and promises to ensure guest safety are not the reality.
We were given a refund for the remaining nights and the assistant manager agreed with our comments about procedures not being adhered to but they didn't have any solution as to how to manage it. I'd suggest cut the number of bookings and day guests, insist on guests following the markings by stationing staff around busy areas to manage this and not look on helplessly.
After checking into our new hotel (Westin Dragonara) I can assure you this is not a reflection of all hotels in Malta. Here temperatures are taken before approaching reception. Loungers are distanced, guest numbers limited, all areas are clean and well managed. No queues for drinks or breakfast. Senior staff are very present and ensure guests are following the rules to keep themselves and others safe in a very polite and friendly manner. It's like night and day. So much more relaxed and finally enjoying our holiday.

Responded Aug 5, 2020
Dear bella_bella1, I am saddened to read your review to read your review that you chose to leave our Resort after just a day as it seemed that we did not meet your expectations. Reference is made to your comment about Covid social distancing and kindly note that markings are placed in various areas such as Reception , Restaurants & Bars, SPA and the Laguna Shop to indicate social distancing. It is up to all guests to abide by social distancing even though our duty managers do go around and explain the need to keep distance from one another. Bookings into the restaurants is done through 2 booking kiosks situated at reception area and these bookings are accepted on first come, first serve basis. It is a pity that you felt that our Resort was not your preferred type of place and chose to move elsewhere to spend your holidays and we can understand it is maybe a matter of one's preference. On the other hand, we get many repeat guests who choose db Seabank Resort + Spa for all amenities and services we are renowned for and this continues to motivate us to constantly improve our services. A party of 37 of us arrived at the hotel on 1st January, staying until the 5th. Check in was really easy and relaxed and we were able to use the restaurant and facilities until our rooms were ready around half an hour later.
This is a very big hotel set over several linked buildings and six floors so a little impersonal for our tastes but staff were always pleasant, friendly, smiling and helpful.
Food in the hotel was very good with a choice of restaurants to eat in. The Coral is open for everyone and serves a variety of foods to suit all tastes. If you are late arriving for breakfast, make sure you get your coffee/juice first as the machines are switched off very promptly and often before 10am. Sadly, the a la cart restaurant was closed whilst we were there but we did manage to eat at the Asian, Argentinian grill and Italian restaurants. All are buffet based but, again, very good. You do need to book for these and, unfortunately the booking system - which is via a computer screen - was not working on when we tried to book on the day arrival and you cannot book a table for the evening after 4pm that day. As friends had managed to book, we decided to chance our arm and turned up after the restaurant had opened and there were several free tables as people had booked but not turned up - so worth a try. There may be other ways to book but as we were there for only 4 days, we did not bother to find out.
Whilst there, my husband and I took advantage of the spa facilities and had a massage which was lovely. However, I would advise that you book this before you go if you want one as we had to settle for 2 x 25 minute treatments rather than the 85 minutes we wanted because they were pretty well booked up.
There is entertainment every day and evening and we sampled one evening in the Dome but it was not to our taste and the room was packed with nowhere left to sit. This being school holiday time, there were also a lot of children in the hotel. We were out and about sightseeing during the day so did not get involved in the daytime activities although some of our party did and enjoyed it.

We stayed here last week.
Excellent hotel, great staff, great food.
Spa and treatments are great.
We had a few problems, 2 water leaks and a humming noise.
Ahmed got the leaks sorted from the sink.
The humming noise started after 3 days.
Marian sorted this and we had a room change sorted within 20 minutes.
This just proves that even if something goes wrong with empowered staff the situation can be resolved and a 5 star review still attained.
Tips.
Pool towel deposit is 10 euro.
You get the token from the shop level UG (underground) then collect the towel from the fish man (there is a fish pedicure shop near the pools)
You can get a Bath Robe to use for your visit, this means you can go from you room down to the spa ready, you collect from the reception. 25 euro deposit.
There are numerous restaurants on site. Some of these can be used as part of the all inclusive package. You can book on the booking screens in reception.
We ate in “the jungle” and “ La Pellicola” food was excellent.
They have 2 booking times an early 18.30 - 20.00 and a late 20.30 - 22.00.

Not as described at all.
I travelled with my family with 2 small children in tow.
After a horrendous journey from the airport where both kids vomited due to the spiralling roads we asked reception to quickly sort our room. Bear in mind we were pretty much covered in vomit they refused and said we'd have to wait until 3pm even though it was already 2pm. It was also a huge shock that there was no bellboy service. Carrying 3peieces of luggage and 2 prams were no easy feat. Eventually our room was sorted and our request for double beds were completely ignored as were for any kind of surprise for my daughters birthday.
The issue I have with this hotel and why it'll probably never be a 4 or 5 star hotel is that it scimps massively on pretty standard details and features. They turn the AC off between 8am and 1pm. Guess this works for young folk but not so much for families with kids who are forced to nap in a 30c room. The grounds are decent the pool is big enough although very busy. Now onto another major issue. There are flies and wasps literally everywhere which swarm your face, your drinks and every surface in the hotel.,assuming this is down to the farms nearby which also make the hotel smell like utter crap all day and night. This is not really a beachfront hotel as its a public beach where you have to pay extortionate prices for a sunbed and umbrella so bear that in mind.
The food was actually decent and the staff especially Ahmad are excellent in seating you. For us specifically it was great that we were shown the halal selection of the buffet. Some feedback for the hotel maybe use waiter service for drinks instead of making people line up like we're all back at school. Carrying 4 drinks across the hall was not easy to do.
Didn't bother booking the other restaurants it was too much hassle. They do not provide water each day and housekeeping turn up at random parts of the day.
Location is not great Mellieha in general is pretty much cut off from there rest of Malta and cabs are not cheap. Ill definitely visit Malta again but won't stay in Mellieha or the Seabank again. This hotel has much to learn about hospitality especially for foreign visitors rather than locals. Ps most of the positive reviews are mainly from locals who get some sort of deal for day use of the hotel.
Tips.
Download ecabs and don't use the hotels xcabs it's super expensive for your travels.
Book your excursions outside the hotel charges far more.
Restaurant by the beach near Starbucks offer a 10% discount if your staying at the Seabank.

Dear Thakidd, Thank you for taking the time to post a review on Trip Advisor. We are disappointed to learn from your comments that we did not meet your expectations on some points that you have mentioned here above. Although the official check in time is at 3pm, if room is ready we do hand the keys out before in order for the guests to reach to their room and freshen's up. We do have a porter service during the day and I'm surprised that you were not offered any help with your luggages. We are constantly monitoring the wasps & bees situation, having had experts in the matter to advise us and we have already seen a decrease. As you know bees are a protected species and we are following guidelines on this matter. We always remind guests that since these are attracted to sugary drinks, that half fullcups should not be left unattended but passed over to our waiters who would be more than happy to remove and take away. On a different note, we are glad to read that you found our food to your liking and we note with pleasure your nice comment that our staff were excellent. We reassure you that we take your constructive feedback on board in order to keep improving our services. Regards Ray Bonanno Assistant General Manager

We have just returned from our wonderful holiday at db Seabank Hotel. We rebooked several times due to the C19 situation and the communication was excellent. There are certain policies the hotel takes - you need to make a reservation for meals in selected time slots (but this was not actually enforced during our stay, maybe because the season just started and the hotel was not full), the buffet is assisted, so the guests do not touch the food containers, the drinks are served, too. We found this well organized, the meals dont get smashed by people and I also had feeling that the people really choose what they want and there is less food wasted.
The guests are required to sanitise hands, wear masks (government policy) and not to share elevator with other guests.
The hotel itself is situated across the street from the beach. There is a couple of restarants and shops nearby, however there is no real vivid promenade or a town center to go for walk. The Popeye village is in walking distance (about 1,5 km from the hotel).
The room was clean, brigt and spacious, included a kettle and a fridge and a big balcony. The main route for Gozo ferry is directly in front of the hotel, so in the sea view rooms you can hear traffic from early morning until late night - someone might be bothered by that. There is A/C in the room. The safebox is free.
The wifi was free, fast and stable in all areas. Everything was super clean.
Beach towels can be borrowed for a deposit of 10 EUR.
The food was delicious, wide choice of everything, during our stay there were no queues despite the C19 restrictions, the staff is working extremely hard.
The pool area is beautiful and the pool bar provided a wide range of drinks. I noticed a second restaurant probably meant for afternoon snacks, but we did not try it as it had limited opening times and we spent a lot of time outside the hotel.
Parking is possible in the hotel garage for free, can be difficult during weekend as many locals come to enjoy the beach.
We can definitely recommend this hotel.
